After a long journey of more than twenty hours, the plane landed in Panem

City, the capital of Panem.

Next to the airport, there were many car rental companies. Lin Yi rented two Land Cruisers and drove towards the best hospital in Panem City, the Pacific

Hospital.

When Lin Yi arrived at the hospital entrance, Wang Nan was already waiting

for him.

Although he rarely returned to the company, Lin Yi still had some impression of Wang Nan because he often frequented Qi Xianzhao’s office.

“President Lin, you’re here.”

“How’s Old Qi’s condition?”

“The doctor said that his condition has stabilized. As long as he recuperates well, he should be fine. However, the doctor didn’t say how long he would need to recover.”

Lin Yi’s face was terrifyingly dark. Even though the sky above his head was exceptionally clear, to Wang Nan, it looked like dark clouds.

She had been in the company for a long time, but this was the first time she had seen the president reveal such an expression.

“Bring me up to check him out.”

“President Lin, follow me.”

Under Wang Nan’s lead, the group arrived at the intensive care unit. Pushing open the door, Lin Yi saw Qi Xianzhao lying on the bed with a thick bandage on his head.

Apart from that, his feet and arms were raised with wires. He was clearly injured. Even the lightest of his injuries consisted of broken bones.

There were more than ten doctors standing around him. Some were from the local hospital, and some were transferred over from Meiguo on Lin Yi’s request. They were all examining Qi Xianzhao.

“President Lin.”

Seeing Lin Yi enter, Qi Xianzhao responded with difficulty.

Lin Yi’s heart skipped a beat as if someone had stabbed him with a knife.

Qi Xianzhao and He Yuanyuan were the two greatest contributors to Lingyun Group.

They had followed Lin Yi from scratch and brought the Lingyun Group to where it was today.

Qi Xianzhao had contributed greatly.

Without him, Lingyun Group wouldn’t be where it was today.

He Yuanyuan had a very important position in Lin Yi’s heart, but so did Qi Xianzhao.

“Boss…”

Yu Siying quietly tugged at Lin Yi’s sleeve.

His appearance was not quite right. It felt like he was a man-eating tiger.

Lin Yi took a deep breath and walked towards Qi Xianzhao.

“Don’t speak first. Let me check your condition.”

Lin Yi turned to look at the other doctors.

“Bring me all the test reports.”

The other doctors obediently handed over the latest test report.

He wouldn’t have known if he hadn’t seen it himself. After reading it, Lin Yi’s body trembled.

There were six fractures on his body, and the most serious injury was on his head. There were still blood clots in his head.

It was not like an ordinary conflict. It was a fight to the death.

Qi Xianzhao grinned when he saw Lin Yi’s expression.

“President Lin, the doctor said that I’m fine. I just need to recuperate for a

while.”

Lin Yi gritted his teeth and suppressed his anger.

“It’s been hard on you. 1’11 avenge you!”

“President Lin, don’t be agitated. There might be a misunderstanding here. We

still have to prioritize business.”

-Don’t worry about this. Your condition is quite stable now. I’ll arrange for you to return to Huaxia for treatment.

“Thank you, President Lin.”

Lin Yi took a deep breath. “Don’t talk for now. Rest well. I’ll take care of the rest.”

Qi Xianzhao nodded. Then, with the help of the nurse, he lay on the bed to rest. Xiao Bing looked at Lin Yi quietly. This was the first time she saw such an angry expression on Lin Yi’s face.

He could not even control his emotions.

Usually, he was not like this.

For the rest of the day, Lin Yi didn’t do anything. He was busy handling Qi Xianzhao’s return.

in order to ensure his absolute safety, he brought all the medical equipment worth more than four million yuan onto the plane.

Moreover, he informed Li Chuhan and Miao Guofeng to receive the team in Huaxia.

During this period, He Yuanyuan called more than 20 times. She even wanted to rush over personally.

Because in the entire Lingyun Group, other than Lin Yi, she had the deepest relationship with Qi Xianzhao.

She couldn’t bear it.

However, Lin Yi didn’t let her come. The situation here was a little complicated.

She would only cause trouble if she came.

Even though she didn’t fly over, her calls came non-stop. The content was always the same, asking Lin Yi to find the person who did it as soon as possible and beat him to death!

It was not just He Yuanyuan – even Ji Qingyan was furious.

She hoped that Lin Yi could find those people quickly and teach them a lesson. A day passed. Lin Yi settled everything on Qi Xianzhao’s side and successfully sent him to the plane.

Lin Yi learned more from Wang Nan.

Qi Xianzhao was not the only one injured. The company had also hired third-party stevedores. However, they had all been captured and were in a very bad situation.

After sending Qi Xianzhao onto the plane, Xiao Bing asked,

“Brother Lin, where should we start?”

-Let’s go to the embassy first. This is a conflict with the Panemian government. We can t go to them as an individual and ask for an explanation. We have to be accompanied by an official.”

“Okay.”

A group of nine people drove to the embassy.

Lin Yi found the person in charge, Zhang Shuping, and stated his relationship with Liang Ruoxu.

The latter welcomed the nine people warmly and sent his secretary, Chen Qingfeng, to follow Lin Yi to deal with this matter.

“President Lin, I understand how you feel, but I hope you can handle this calmly.”

“I know. I’m not a kid anymore. 1 know how to handle this kind of thing. Hearing Lin Yi’s words, Xiao Bing and the others felt their blood run cold. The more he said that the more obvious it was that he would use violence to deal with this matter.

“I’m glad you think so.”

Chen Qingfeng was ignorant and did not think too deeply about it. He continued,

“The incident happened the morning before. The Canal Authority wanted to inspect Lingyun Group’s goods. Then, there was a conflict.”

Lin Yi nodded and said calmly,

“I understand the situation, but I mainly want to clarify who, specifically or which department, was involved in the conflict with our group’s employees.” “The conflict involved the security personnel from the management bureau. They received information claiming that your cargo ship was carrying contraband and needed to be taken to a specified location for investigation before it could be loaded and unloaded. Director Qi disagreed with their approach, which led to the confrontation.”

-I would like to have a discussion with the people from the security office about this matter. Is that possible?”

“Of course,” Chen Qingfeng said frankly.

-After the incident, we’ve already submitted the relevant instructions and will investigate this matter seriously. They also replied that they would cooperate with our investigation. We can go look for them now.”

Lin Yi smiled and said gentlemanly,

“Then please take us there..”
