Lin Yi’s order made the two of them a little flustered.

This meant that from now on, he might not be able to help with this mission. They had to rely on themselves!

“Got it!”

At that moment, Mahra cut open the other package, too, with a small knife, and saw that the contents were all the same.

Weighing it in his hand, Mahra said to himself,

“What are these? Ores?”

99% of the global population did not know what Bass Ores were.

Very few people knew what it was for.

Not to mention ordinary workers like Mahra, even Chen Qingfeng regarded this thing as a regular piece of ore.

However, he did not understand why President Lin did not tell him in advance that this thing was hidden in the goods.

Moreover, he also vowed to come over to watch the inspection, which felt a bit illogical.

“These are two pieces of ore I brought back from outside, with plans to add them to my collection.”

Lin Yi said to Mahra, with a cheerful smile.

By now, he had figured out the entire backstory of the situation.

The Canal Authority’s people definitely didn’t know about these ores; otherwise, they wouldn’t have had such a prolonged standoff with him.

Furthermore, the wood on the ship has always been in a sealed state, making it highly unlikely to have been tampered with.

Given the scale of this operation and with Qi Xianzhao here as well, attempting such a thing would be nearly impossible.

It was now clear that the problem must have originated at the source.

The tampering likely happened before the wood was even loaded onto the ship!

“I know that you Huaxia merchants like to collect things, and these two ores look quite good.”

Mahra said,

“This thing is not considered an absolute contraband item, but I have to hand it over. 1 hope you can come with us so that we can deal with this matter and pay the relevant fine.”

“Okay, no problem.”

“Brothers, how are the other goods? Are there any problems?”

Mahra turned around and said loudly.

“We’ve already checked everything. The rest of the goods are fine.”

“Okay.”

Mahra nodded and looked back at Lin Yi.

“Mr. Lin, the goods have been inspected. Please come with us. After dealing with these problems, the cargo ship can leave the port.”

“I’d like to speak to my staff, if that’s all right. 1 need to give them some instructions.”

“Of course not. Feel free.”

Mahra’s attitude was very friendly, thanks to the watch Lin Yi had given him.

Lin Yi called Luo Qi and Zhou Liang to the side and whispered.

“I have a feeling that those people outside the borders must have heard the news in advance and rushed here. They only have one goal, which is the ores in our hands.”

“But I’m very puzzled. Who put this thing on the cargo ship?” Zhou Liang asked.

“They must be trying to frame us to make us the target of public criticism,” Lin Yi said cautiously.

“But now is not the time to think about these things.”

Lin Yi took a deep breath and continued.

“I’m making the final arrangements now. Listen up, both of you.”

The two of them nodded solemnly.

“When we leave later, call Boss Liu immediately and ask him to assign this mission.”

“Through the phone’s tracking function, you can lock onto my location.”

“If the conditions allow, I will convey the situation here to you, but there’s no guarantee that my phone will not be confiscated. So, after we leave, Luo Qi will be in charge of informing the headquarters, and Zhou Liang will be in charge of tracking my movements.”

“Understood!”

“I still don’t know how much information those other people have, but I should be able to analyze it. They will be able to lock onto the location of the ore soon and launch an attack.”

“If my prediction comes true, don’t hold back. You can attack the Canal Administration and snatch the ore back while ensuring your own safety.”

“Understood!”

“The analysis just now is the worst-case scenario. Based on the current situation, the situation is still under control. I speculate that the people from the Canal Administration don’t know what this thing is either. As long as this ore isn’t spotted by the military, the probability of it being discovered is very small. If that’s the case, don’t act rashly. Unless it’s absolutely necessary, don’t get into a conflict with them. Otherwise, our situation will be very unfavorable.”

As he spoke, Lin Yi looked at the two of them. “Do you understand what I am saying?”

“Understood!”

“From now on, don’t hide your identity from the embassy, because you’ll need their support for the next mission.”

“Understood!”

“I can only think of this for the time being. We’ll have to wait and see what happens next. Both of you, be smart. In times of emergency, you have to think on your feet. Don’t be restrained by the rules.”

“Understood!”

After reminding the two of them, Lin Yi walked towards Mahra.

“Brother, I have something else to talk to you about. Is it convenient to come over and talk?”

Of course, Mahra was willing to accept Lin Yi’s invitation.

In his opinion, even if he smuggled two pieces of ore, it was not a big deal.

Secondly, he might be able to gain a lot of benefits by interacting with a rich person like Lin Yi more.

In short, he had made a killing today.

“Of course I’m willing. Let’s talk over there.”

Under Mahra’s lead, Lin Yi was brought to a corner.

However, before he left, Lin Yi shot Zhou Liang a look. The latter understood and followed quietly without anyone noticing.

However, the two sides still maintained a certain distance so that he did not look suspicious. At the same time, they could observe Lin Yi’s situation.

In the corner, Lin Yi smiled at Mahra.

“Finding these things in our shipment should count as a significant achievement for you, right?”

“Of course, there will be some rewards and recognition from above. We could hit the bar tonight, maybe find some pretty girls to drink with.”

“I have an opportunity here that could make you earn more and gain even greater merit. Interested in giving it a try?”

Mahra’s eyes lit up, “What opportunity?”

“According to the rules, these two pieces of ore are supposed to be handed over to the management bureau, right? I suggest you take me and the ore back privately. That way, all the credit goes to you,” Lin Yi proposed.

Mahra’s eyes widened, and his heart began to beat faster.

“I know you’re very smart, but don’t have any bad intentions. Even if I send you back, there will be guards following you in the car.”

“No, I’m only doing this to give you a chance to make a contribution.”

“I don’t think that’s a problem. Deal..”
