Chapter 12 Two Paths Left by HughesChapter 12 Two Paths Left by Hughes
Of course, Su Xueqi also knew that even if Senior Arthur had found his own path, he might not be able to break through to the silver level. It was just that his chance of success was higher than that of most bronze knights.

For example, Chief Qi Gu, who has guided her several times, is also a leader among the Bronze Knights and he will have the opportunity to break through to the Silver level in the future.

But compared to the Bronze Knight who has found his own path, the gap is too big.

It’s like one is a character with not even a stroke left, while the other is just missing the last hook. They are on completely different levels.

However, if Senior Arthur was really already a Silver Knight, how could it be her turn to become his disciple when she hadn’t yet merged her blood?
Even now, the other party may not necessarily look down on her.

However, she was indeed somewhat tempted by this opportunity...

”Then, Rorschach, can you help me put in a few good words in front of Senior Arthur? I know I am not qualified to ask for this, but I can promise that if I can successfully become his disciple, you will be my lifelong benefactor!” Su Xueqi, who was moved by Rorschach’s words, finally made a decision.

”No problem, it’s just a piece of cake.” Rorschach smiled brightly.

Su Xueqi couldn’t help feeling a little guilty when she saw that Luo Xia, this young man, was so easy to talk to.

By doing this, she was undoubtedly taking advantage of the other party.

If she succeeds in becoming her apprentice, there will inevitably be competition in the future. In this case, most people would not agree to her unreasonable request.

It’s no use even if she says something wonderful.

But Rorschach agreed, and without any conditions. Even though she only treated the people she met in this world as NPCs, she now felt a sense of guilt, thinking, ”I deserve to die.”

”It’s okay, it’s okay. I am destined to become a real heroine. I will just take care of him when the time comes.” Su Xueqi comforted herself.

As for Rorschach, seeing that the fish had been hooked, he naturally stopped talking, so as not to appear too eager and arouse the other party’s suspicion.

”Have you finished talking so soon?”

Rex, who was resting with his eyes closed in the tent arranged by Clauser, saw Rorschach coming back soon and couldn’t help but smile, ”I think that girl named Stephanie is pretty good. How come she came back so soon?”

”Teacher, you are so gossipy, just like Aunt Susan.” Rorschach complained mercilessly.

He no longer called Rex Uncle Rex, for fear that he would get used to it and could not change it.

As for Rorschach’s complaints, Rex was naturally not angry. He was one of the relatively gentlest people in Twilight Village.

Besides, Rorschach grew up in their eyes and they always treated him as their own son or nephew, so why would they really care about him?

After the joke, Rorschach told Rex some of the information he had learned from Su Xueqi, and Rex also got a lot of information from Su Xueqi’s step-brother Claus, most of which were about major events in the Storm Empire in the past ten years.

It is true that the former prince Rex knows the Storm Empire very well, but the information he has is basically from more than ten years ago.

It is inevitable that some versions will not keep up.

Although Claus and his people are just small figures and it is impossible for them to know the undercurrents hidden beneath the surface, at least they know the situation on the surface.

This is just the information Rex wants.

”Let’s not talk about this for now. We’ll discuss the intelligence issue after we get to the Mountain Capital.” After summarizing the intelligence the two had obtained, Rex suddenly said seriously, ”I am now asking you something very seriously, and I hope you can think carefully about it and give me an answer.” ”Okay.” Rorschach stopped laughing and nodded.

He didn’t know why Rex suddenly did this to him, but he could tell that he must have something serious to tell him. In this case, he naturally wouldn’t be as casual as before.

”Have you ever thought about becoming stronger?” Rex looked directly into Rorschach’s eyes and asked word by word.

”Does it mean becoming a Blood Knight?”

After thinking for a moment, Luo Xia said thoughtfully, ”I may not have thought about it before, but after what happened before, I did think about it.”

Rex nodded and asked again: ”What if I tell you that there are two roads in front of you now? One road is a smooth journey, but the destination is already determined; and the other road may encounter unknown risks every step forward, but as long as you keep going, you can keep moving forward.”

”What would you choose?”

For this kind of question, how could Rorschach, who has lived two lives as a human being, not understand the metaphor in the words?

So he didn’t beat around the bush and asked directly: ”Can I ask what does it mean when the destination is determined?”

”It’s about the extent that you don’t have to worry about anyone hurting you, but you can’t change the overall situation... well, just like me.” Rex was originally answering Rorschach, but he couldn’t help but laugh at himself later.

”learn.”

”Don’t be anxious. Think about it more before giving me an answer. This concerns your future path.” Rex emphasized again.

”Don’t think about it, I choose the second one.” Rorschach replied directly.

”I think you’d better think about it again. Some things are not suitable to be done on impulse.” Rex murmured.

”That’s not necessary.” Rorschach shook his head and said, ”If I’m not mistaken, that question just now was asked by your father, right?”

”I didn’t say that.” Rex was stunned for a moment, then burst out laughing.

But he didn’t deny it either, obviously thinking there was no need. After all, Zeus had never emphasized that Rorschach must not know the truth.

These two questions were indeed asked by Hughes, and there are indeed different choices corresponding to different answers.

Since Rorschach had guessed it, he didn’t bother to hide it anymore and directly took out two glass bottles, one red and one blue, from his pocket.

He first raised the blue glass bottle in his left hand and said, ”This contains the Behemoth Blood that the village chief prepared for you. He gave it to your father a long time ago, but he didn’t have time to give it to you. Of course, it also comes with the secret technique that the village chief practiced. If nothing else, it is definitely enough for you to reach the gold level.”

Without waiting for Rorschach’s answer, he raised the red glass bottle in his right hand and said, ”This is what your father prepared for you. I don’t know what it is exactly, as he didn’t tell me. He also gave me the corresponding practice method before we left. If you choose the second path, I will give it to you. If not, I will destroy it all.”

”Actually, I personally suggest you choose the first path.”

After Rex finished talking about Hughes’s explanation, he further expressed his own opinion, ”I don’t know Brother Hughes very well, but I can see that he is struggling a bit. Deep down in his heart, he may not want you to choose the second path.”
