Mythical Professions are all my employees

”So, this answers your question?”

Qin Fang raised an eyebrow upon hearing this, then asked with a smile.

The woman couldn’t laugh. She stared at the amusement park owner in front of her, her mind frantically searching for a way to escape...

Although she had an excellent profession, the boss’s abilities were astonishing.

A Tier 3 elite assassin is as easy to kill as a chicken!

Although she was much stronger than those believers in the Inquisition, to be honest... her strength was only limited.

Moreover, Jin Dao, who was on par with her, died at her hands.
”Don’t even think about running away. I saw Jin Dao’s phone and have some understanding of how your Divine Descent Cult operates. To be honest... you deserve to die.”

Qin Fang’s laughter subsided considerably, and he sounded very calm.

The woman in purple robes frowned slightly. She clearly knew the contents of Jin Dao’s phone. After a moment of silence, she calmly said, ”The world has undergone a great change, and the gods have descended upon the world. Our current profession is a gift from the gods. He has bestowed upon people the supreme power to liberate them from physical pain; this is the highest salvation. What’s wrong with serving the gods?”

”Killing innocent people and filming them committing the crime, is that what your god requires you to do?” Qin Fang asked.

”Devotion to God requires piety. Believers should sever their worldly ties and devote themselves wholeheartedly to God. Rituals are merely expressions of one’s determination to worship God.”

”Is the torture and killing of ordinary people a way of showing one’s resolve to serve God?”

“A profession is a gift from God. Those who have not received a gift from God are naturally rejected by God. I love what God loves and hate what God hates... What could better demonstrate my determination to serve God?”

This bizarre thought process made Qin Fang laugh in exasperation.

”According to your logic, if a profession is a gift from God, then does that mean the higher one’s rank, the more favored one is by your so-called God? The Nine Pillars of the Nation are all legendary professions with the highest rank. According to your logic, wouldn’t they be the people your so-called God loves most? Are any of them members of your Divine Advent Cult?”

”That’s right.”

The woman said calmly, ”The Nine Pillars of the Nation, including you, are all people loved by God. You should all be devout followers of God. But you have failed to live up to His grace… Shouldn’t you look for the reason within yourselves?”

”Is that so? In that case, why don’t you ask your god to take back my profession so I can see? Wasn’t it a gift from him? He can give it, and he can take it back, right?” Qin Fang asked with a smile.

”This is the greatness of God... God loves people as people love their children. You do not love God because you are still in delusion and do not know how lovable God is. But God loves you as He loves His own child. He is forgiving and merciful and cannot bear to see His beloved child fall into suffering again, so He did not take away your profession... Just as parents love their children and will not kill them in anger for their disobedience.”

”So you’re saying that you agree that parents love their children, therefore children should also love their parents?”

”Of course.”

”Then why did Jin Dao recruit Cai Chen, yet kill Cai Chen’s parents? And why did he force Cai Chen to kill his own flesh and blood? Don’t you think your actions completely contradict what you’re saying now?”

”They are not contradictory.”

The woman patiently explained: “If our parents are not professionals, then they are naturally those rejected by God. As those rejected by God, they must have sins that we do not know. In the name of God, we personally judge our parents and other relatives who are rejected by God, which is the greatest love we can give them… Through our hands, under God’s gaze, we cleanse them of their sins, so that they may live forever in God’s kingdom. When we have completed our mission for God, we can go to God’s kingdom, meet with Him, and love each other forever. This is true love for parents.”

She shook her head: ”To let one’s parents and loved ones, with bodies abandoned by God, struggle in this sea of sin and suffering, is cruel, is unloving and disrespectful.”

Her words silenced Qin Fang completely.

Goodness, this thing has a whole set of brainwashing phrases! They’ve even come up with a theory about it?
”And what about the other races? If gods are omnipotent, then other races are not omnipotent either, are they? Why do you worship other races as gods? Isn’t that disrespectful to your gods?”

”The gods are not gods, but rather the gods’ race. They received the gods’ love before humanity, so they are naturally loved by the gods. What’s wrong with us loving what the gods love?”

Qin Fang was speechless.

He realized that the Divine Advent Cult was simply clinging to the idea of ”love what God loves, hate what God hates,” and then using that as a basis to create a set of seemingly plausible but ultimately flawed theories.

Once you accept their claim of ”divine right of way” for professions, it’s almost impossible to refute it.

But essentially...

It’s inhumane!
He shook his head: ”Forget it, I’ve wasted my breath.”

“You are still in delusion. If you are willing to sincerely convert and faithfully worship God, you will eventually understand what I am saying today…”

The woman was still talking.

Qin Fang suddenly interrupted her, saying, ”You said your profession is a gift from God, and that God granted you freedom from physical pain, a great blessing. Is this blessing something that can’t be taken back?”

“Of course.” The woman didn’t understand, but she nodded nonetheless.

”If this gift is taken back, does that mean... you’ve also become someone abandoned by God?”

Qin Fang narrowed his eyes and asked.

“God is forgiving and merciful; He will not take it back,” she said earnestly and calmly.

”Is it?”

Qin Fang smiled and looked at the woman calmly: ”Then you can start praying to your god now.”

”What?” The woman hadn’t quite understood yet.

Qin Fang’s figure blurred and disappeared from the spot.

The woman was shocked, her body radiating light as she prepared to retreat explosively.

But Qin Fang was too fast, so fast that she didn’t have time to get away.

The next moment, a dazzling blade of light suddenly shot out from the sky.

Suddenly, a dreamlike glow appeared beside the woman, and the next moment, the phantom of a newborn baby girl emerged from the dreamlike light and overlapped with her.

The light was dreamlike, like amber of time. The next moment, an extremely dazzling light shot out from time, piercing through her and the baby girl’s hearts and pinning them down!
The woman was about to say something, but the next moment, she suddenly groaned, and an extreme pain appeared in her chest.

The pain surged like a tidal wave, causing her to wail uncontrollably.

But the next moment, her face froze... and the panel popped up.

A huge ’forbidden’ symbol appeared on her panel!
A wave of pain, unlike anything she had experienced since waking up, washed over her. Her eyes widened, she clutched her chest, and her face was filled with disbelief.

”What, what did you do to me?!?!”

She was no longer as composed and calm as before; her eyes were filled with disbelief and panic.

Qin Fang stood in front of her, squinting as he looked down at her: ”Pray, where is your God? Let Him bestow His grace upon you once more and relieve your pain... After all, didn’t you say that this profession was given to you by your God?”

”You...ah!”

The excruciating pain in her heart rendered her speechless. She screamed in agony, large beads of sweat seeping from her forehead. In the blink of an eye, cold sweat covered her entire back, and she curled up on the ground.

puff! !

She suddenly coughed up a mouthful of blood.

When she saw the blood, her eyes widened, and she went completely dazed.

Her divinely bestowed body... is gone!
”What...what have you done?!” She forced herself to look at Qin Fang in disbelief, her eyes filled with an unprecedented panic.

……

”Cai Chen, what’s going on?”

As the woman in purple robes descended into endless panic, a large number of members of the Combat Division arrived at the scene of the car accident.

Liu Qi found Cai Chen and asked him in a low voice with a heavy expression.

”Need you even ask? Just look at their attire, right? It’s the second assassination attempt by the Divine Descent Cult.”

Cai Chen looked at the corpses of several white-masked assassins who were surrounded by members of the Combat Division not far away.

”It is indeed the Divine Descent Cult.”

At this moment, Jiang Yong walked over, his face grim: ”It must be the legendary assassin from the Tribunal... Damn it, how dare they be so crazy, openly assassinating my Deputy Director of the Combat Department... Damn it!”

Cai Chen didn’t respond. He looked into the distance and suddenly asked, ”What about the casualties?”

”Many people died.”

Jiang Yong knew he was asking about the car accident. After replying with a gloomy expression, he added, ”However, you and some other professionals acted in time. The number of dead was not large, but there were quite a few injured.”

Cai Chen remained silent.

After a moment, he took a deep breath: ”I’ll leave this to you. I’ll be going now.”

Upon hearing that Cai Chen was leaving, both of them were stunned for a moment: ”Leaving already?”

Cai Chen glanced at the two of them: ”What am I, a deputy director with no real power, doing here?”

The two were immediately speechless.

”As for the Divine Descent Cult, I have nothing to say. You can investigate it yourselves.”

After saying that, he walked to his car.

They discovered that the car was also undriveable.

The windshield was completely shattered, and the car was filled with glass shards.

Looking at the car that had been with him for a year, Cai Chen fell silent for a moment...

Well, in one day, he lost his family, and now he’s lost his car too.

And all this...

He closed his eyes, then took out his phone and made a call.

Liu Qi and Jiang Yong watched from the side, exchanging bewildered glances, unsure of what to say.

Cai Chen was at the same level as them, but he had no real power and did not specifically command any departments. However, they also had no right to order him to do anything.

What’s more, they are epic-level professionals... which makes them inherently inferior to each other.

The position of Director of the Combat Department is now vacant, and it will probably remain vacant for a while.

This matter needs to be reported to higher authorities to see what arrangements the United Front Work Department will make.

...There are a lot of complicated things to deal with.

Others from the combat unit were busy dealing with the accident scene; some took away the bodies to collect evidence, while others directed traffic.

Soon after, Old Zhang arrived in his car.

”Director Cai.”

Old Zhang got out of the car and tried to open the back door.

Cai Chen had already sat directly in the driver’s seat and calmly said, ”I’ll drive myself. I have something to do. You can pick up the car at Pinghu No. 9 later.”

Old Zhang was taken aback for a moment, but dared not refuse, and quickly said, ”Okay.”

Cai Chen stopped talking and drove away.

Luo Qingzhu opened her mouth in the distance, but in the end, she didn’t say anything.

Her expression showed worry.

”Qingzhu, are you sure these people were killed by a mysterious masked man who suddenly appeared?”

After watching Cai Chen leave on his own with a sigh, Jiang Yong and Liu Qi sighed in resignation. Finally, Jiang Yong thought for a moment and called to Luo Qingzhu.

Luo Qingzhu came to her senses and nodded: ”I’m sure, many people here should have seen it too.”

Jiang Yong nodded and fell into deep thought.

”The mysterious man... must be the one who really killed Director Zhu... what exactly is his relationship with Cai Chen?”

”Terrifyingly strong... The people in the Divine Descent Cult’s Inquisition were all elite Tier 3 professional assassins. Yet he killed them all...”

The two were puzzled.

Captain Liu appeared beside them, his expression shifting. Suddenly, he seemed to realize something and whispered, ”Directors, is it possible... that they are actually members of the Divine Descent Cult? Is this whole self-inflicted injury ruse just to infiltrate Cai Chen’s company?”

These words startled both of them for a moment. Then Liu Qi frowned and looked at him: ”Liu Wu, I know you resent him for taking away the opportunity, but I don’t want to hear such words again. After all, he is your superior now. Otherwise... if something really happens to you, we may not be able to help you.”

Liu Wu’s expression changed drastically in an instant. After a moment of stunned silence, he said in a trembling voice, ”I understand, Director Liu...”

”Go and do what you’re supposed to do.”

”Yes.”

Liu Wu slunk away.

……

”I’ll be there soon!”

Cai Chen received a notification from Qin Fang.

His eyes were bloodshot as he slammed on the gas pedal.

Luxury cars quickly weaved through the traffic.

His eyes were filled with intense killing intent.
