First Magician

Chapter 42 Magic ApothecaryChapter 42 Magic Apothecary

”That’s right, it’s the root of the moon!” The old magician patted his clothes twice with one free hand.

”The root of the moon is difficult to refine, right?” Mo Lanxiu was shocked. Although he didn’t know much about refining magic potions, Moranxiu also knew that refining high-grade magic potions was very difficult. The requirements for the level of magic pharmacists are very high.

The old magician smiled and said: ”Of course it is difficult. The root of the moon requires 270 four kinds of magic materials, and it needs to be catalyzed by magic power for four consecutive hours before it can be successfully refined.”

”Why should I use such a valuable medicine?” Mo Lanxiu rolled his eyes and asked suspiciously.

”Hehe, Moranxiu, do you really want to know the reason?” The old magician put the black porcelain bowl containing the root of the moon on the table next to the bed, as if he was going to tell Moranxiu a lengthy story.

Moranxiu nodded heavily, and his eyes fell on the high-grade potion with a pair of smart eyes.

”My name is Kuile.” Kuile exhaled softly.

Thirty years ago, a genius pharmacist appeared in the Kingdom of Carlisle. Before the age of 30, this pharmacist was able to successfully refine mid-grade magic potions. At that time, he was unusually beautiful.

However, for unknown reasons, the pharmacist suddenly disappeared.Slowly, people will forget about him.

Moranxiu is only 12 years old, he has too little experience, and he doesn’t know much about many famous magicians in the kingdom. He had never heard of Kuile’s name either.

If you are a magician with some experience, you will definitely be surprised when you hear the word ’Kuile’.But Moranxiu didn’t respond at all, and just regarded it as an ordinary name.

”30 years ago, I was already a middle-grade magic pharmacist. I can refine most of the middle-grade magic potions as long as there is a formula.” Kuile continued.

The refining of magic potion is not something that can be done with a formula, it also requires the magician’s own understanding of pharmacy.

”At that time, I really had a good reputation. Because of my medicine refining ability, many high-ranking nobles made friends with me. At that time, I just wanted to continue my medicine refining road, and I was less concerned about people’s hearts. Be vigilant.” Speaking of this, Kuile was a little excited, and there was a look of anger on his wrinkled face.

Moranxiu guessed something, maybe Kuile was plotted by someone at that time.

In this world, plots and betrayals often happen for the sake of profit.A mid-level magic pharmacist can bring enormous benefits.

”What happened next?” Moranxiu asked after Kuile calmed down a bit.

”What happened later, I will never forget it for the rest of my life. The face of that person is still fresh in my memory. Hehe, he must have never thought that I could still survive. For 30 years, I have kept my name incognito and worked hard. To study the art of refining medicine is to avenge one day.” Kuile said a little desolately.

Moranxiu asked suspiciously: ”Your ability is so strong, you still can’t take revenge?”

”Yes, even though I am now a high-grade magic pharmacist, I still can’t take revenge. Thirty years ago, that person was a middle-grade magic pharmacist just like me, and his talent was no worse than mine. After 30 years After years of penance, he has already become a top-grade pharmacist.” Kuile said.

”But, what does all this have to do with me?” Moran asked.

He’s not a magic pharmacist, Kuile, why is he taking such good care of himself?

”Mo Lanxiu, my body can’t let me live for a few more years. And I’m still a long way from the final breakthrough.” Kuile’s eyes suddenly lit up, staring at Moranxiu.

Moranxiu was startled and said, ”The final breakthrough?”

”Yes, the final breakthrough. On the Holy Spirit Continent, the grades of magic pharmacists are not only divided into three grades, but...the fourth grade.” Kuile suddenly stood up from the bed, his expression was very excited, his body trembling slightly.

The fourth level is the highest level of a magic pharmacist! However, there are very few magic pharmacists who know this realm.

”Fourth level?”

”Yes, this fourth level requires the pharmacist to complete a huge breakthrough. In the past 5000 years, no one has been able to do it. However, I got a book by accident, which records the facts of how to break through .” Kuile said.

”Pharmacist Kuile, what does all this have to do with me?” Moranxiu still didn’t quite understand why Kuile looked at him differently. Also, why would he say this to himself.

Kuile heard what Moranxiu said, and said with a smile: ”Molanxiu, I want to accept you as my apprentice. As long as you are willing, I can pass on all my knowledge to you.”

”Ah?” Moran Xiu’s eyes widened.

After working for a long time, Kuile wanted to find an apprentice.

”Why me?” Moranxiu asked in surprise.

”Because, you can become a magic pharmacist. As long as your magic power reaches level seven, you can refine magic potions.” Kuile said affirmatively.

”But, how did you know?” Moranxiu felt that his head was a bit big.

”Mo Lanxiu, don’t doubt my words. You know, I am a high-grade magic pharmacist. Magic pharmacists are more sensitive to elements than ordinary magicians. The only difference between ordinary great magicians and magic pharmacists is that , Ordinary magicians can only absorb one element, but magic pharmacists absorb three elements.” Kuile said.

”I know that.” Moranxiu nodded.

”Do you still remember that three years ago, when several robbers robbed us, you released a fireball technique?” Kuile looked at Moranxiu and said.

”Yes.”

”From that fireball technique, I know that you can absorb three elements. Ordinary magicians can only form magic through the fusion of one element with the elements existing in the outside world, but you use three elements. From that time, I started to notice you. You know, you were not yet ten years old at that time. You can use magic before you are ten years old, so you must have a high talent for practicing magic.” Kuile laughed.

”So, you have been paying attention to me since I didn’t come to Sophie three years ago? You have been paying attention to me for more than three years?” Moranxiu asked with wide eyes.

”Yes, you are right. And you did not disappoint me. After more than three years of training, you have become a sixth-level magician. After another year, you will be able to become a great magician. At that time, you can learn how to make potions.” Kuile sat down again.

”If it weren’t for the day before yesterday, some people wanted to kill you, and I would not find you until you became a seventh-level magician.” Kuile continued.

These words shocked Moranxiu a little. This Kuile must be a very powerful character. It is not impossible to follow him to learn magic potions. The road of magic pharmacist, if there is an excellent teacher to teach, then you can avoid many detours.

Although this Kuile looked a little gloomy, his heart didn’t seem bad.

”Are you willing to be my apprentice?” Kuile asked nervously after a pause.
