First Magician

Chapter 23 The Empire of LightChapter 23 The Empire of Light
Moranxiu followed Billy into the house, and the dark room suddenly lit up, and there were many oil lamps hanging on the surrounding walls. These oil lamps seem to be controlled by a magical device.Because Moranxiu didn’t see Billy using magic or lighting the lamps, and these oil lamps lit up by themselves.

After entering the room, Billy did not stop his body, but continued to walk forward.Moranxiu had no choice but to continue to follow. Although he had many questions, he couldn’t ask them for a while.

Go straight to the third room, which is different from the previous two rooms. In this room, there are not only some oil lamps hanging on the walls, but also many lifelike murals carved.Moranxiu carefully looked at the pattern on the mural, which seemed to be a cruel war.Magic and long swords were all over the vast battlefield. Moranxiu looked at them one by one, and finally he was sure that the sculpture was indeed an extremely cruel war.

”Mo Lanxiu?”

Moranxiu woke up suddenly, and he didn’t know why. When he saw these murals, the blood in his body seemed to be boiling, and he was immersed in them unconsciously. If Billy hadn’t called him, maybe he still couldn’t extricate himself from it.

”Billy...Grandpa.” Moranxiu looked at Billy, and he found that Billy was standing beside a rectangular wooden box, and magical energy was faintly flowing on this wooden box.

”Mo Lanxiu, come here.” Billy slowly opened the wooden box.

Moranxiu moved his body and walked slowly towards the wooden box.Everything here seems to have a long, long history, exuding a strong sense of simplicity and mystery everywhere.

”Mulanxiu, look at this.” Billy carefully took out a piece of ancient yellow paper from the wooden box.

Moranxiu took it, and he saw that it seemed to be a diary. There are dense words written on the paper, and it seems that this paper has a long history.

The doubts in Moranxiu’s heart became heavier and heavier. He didn’t understand why Billy brought him here. This house on the glass mountain reveals mysterious and ancient messages everywhere.Being in it, it seems that the whole world has been far away from oneself. In this house, there is another world.

”The Empire of Light?” Moranxiu was taken aback.

On this old paper, the first sentence at the beginning is the words Guangming Empire. From the historical records in the library of Mulan College, Moranxiu learned something that happened thousands of years ago. 5000 years ago, the Northern Continent of the Holy Spirit Continent was unified for the first time in history. This unified country is the Empire of Light.Unfortunately, this empire only existed for less than 100 years before it completely disintegrated, forming the current four great empires and five great kingdoms.

The reason for the disintegration of the Guangming Empire is unknown, and there are no records in various documents.Mulanxiu only knew from scattered information that the emperor of the Guangming Empire was named Xisang, and was called Emperor Xisang. In the Bright Empire, holy swordsmen and holy magisters abound.Since the fall of the Bright Empire, the holy magister and the holy swordsman seem to have disappeared.

Up to now, holy swordsmen and holy magisters are even rarer, and there are only a few people who are still alive and recorded in the documents in the entire continent, and no one knows their traces.

”The practice of magic does not require incantations. The incantations are just an introduction to attracting magic. They combine their own magic with the magical elements of nature to produce violent reactions and form destructive magic. Like battle qi, the practice of magic is not There is no end.” Moranxiu silently read the words recorded on the paper.

”In the Empire of Light, holy magisters and holy swordsmen gallop between heaven and earth, and under the leadership of Emperor Xisang, drive away all evil human beings. All of this originated from the greatest emperor Xisang on the Holy Spirit Continent It was him who made the cultivation of magic and battle qi no longer restricted by the rules. However, such behavior aroused the dissatisfaction of the gods, so the gods sent envoys to destroy Emperor Xisang and his Guangming Empire.” Momo Lan Xiu continued to read.

”In order to punish human beings, the gods cast spells on human bodies one after another. It is no longer as easy for human beings to practice magic as before. Most people no longer have the talent to practice magic. But all of this is not enough. It is a great invention to prevent human beings from pursuing magic and vindictiveness, and human beings have come up with ways to break the spell one after another, using magic stones to store magic skills and learn them.”

”However, that era has already become history. The road of human beings to practice magic and fighting spirit is full of difficulties.”

There are not many words recorded on the paper, and the content of the narration is only a little. However, the shock it brought to Moranxiu made him unable to calm down for a long time.If all the above records are true, then the destruction of the Guangming Empire was not due to human beings themselves, but because of some gods who transcended nature?

”For the past 5000 years, human beings have been practicing magic skills through the medium of phantom stones. And to use magic, they also need to be guided by spells.” Billy said with a sigh, which greatly limited the speed of magic cultivation.

”Grandpa Billy, 5000 years ago, magic skills didn’t need magic stones, did they?” Moranxiu asked.

”Yes, 5000 years ago, it was much easier to learn magic skills and use magic than it is now. Since the fall of the Guangming Empire, practicing magic has become what it is now. There are fewer and fewer magicians on the mainland, not only The same goes for magic and battle qi. Although the number of swordsmen is much greater than that of magicians, compared to 5000 years ago, the number and ability of swordsmen today are much lower.” Billy said heavily.

”But why did this record appear here?” Moranxiu looked at the special paper in his hand, and there were many mysteries in his heart, and he wanted to ask Billy many questions.

”Hehe, Moranxiu, I know you have many questions that you can’t understand. Don’t worry, I’ll tell you slowly.” Billy said with a smile.

For a child who is not yet nine years old, all this seems too complicated. However, Billy had to tell Moranxiu everything, which was related to the fate of the entire human race.

”Mo Lanxiu, you may not know that I have lived for 1000 years. I am the sixth-generation guardian of the Holy Tomb. For some reasons, I can live longer than ordinary people.” Billy Let’s start with my own identity.

In the Holy Spirit Continent, magicians and swordsmen with higher abilities lived longer.Generally, if you are a ninth-level magician, you can live at least four to five hundred years.

”It is my mission to guard this holy tomb. The purpose of our life is to find someone who can open the tomb. Emperor Xisang was buried here. And this house has a history of 5000 years. The house is Built from a special ore, it will not collapse even after another 5000 years. When the deadline for the previous generation of guardians is approaching, they will look for the next successor and continue to serve as guardians. This continuation continues until today It’s been done six times.”

”Mo Lanxiu, don’t interrupt me.” Billy saw that Moranxiu seemed to want to ask something.

”And you are the only magician who can use magic skills without magic stones in the past 5000 years. You are the hope of our guardians. If you can enter the cemetery, then my mission will also be over, and I will not be able to do so in the future.” There will be another guardian.” Billy’s voice revealed sadness and heaviness, the guardianship for thousands of years finally came to fruition, and he didn’t know whether he should be happy or shed tears.

”Maybe, you can solve the mystery that no one has been able to solve for 5000 years. Now, you go into the cemetery.” Billy said, reaching into the wooden box and pressing it lightly.

Although it is still uncertain whether Moranxiu can enter the cemetery, Moranxiu is indeed the first qualified person in the past 5000 years. The condition for entering the cemetery is to be able to use magic skills by oneself.

Then, there was a ’squeak’ sound, the sound of friction when the stone rolled.

Moranxiu saw that on the opposite wall, the stone wall moved to both sides, and a door slowly appeared in the middle. The stone wall stopped running, and Moranxiu saw some white magic energy flowing inside the door, like water and clouds.
