Apocalyptic Wasteland Simulator

Chapter 51: Petty! Tyrannical Gui Nan Yilang
[As Major General Hu’s attacks grew increasingly fierce and relentless, Gui Nan Yilang realized that the fight was unavoidable. However, the intense, continuous sensation of imminent discharge from his anus prevented him from focusing entirely on the battle.]

[Soon, Gui Nan Yilang fell to a disadvantage. To avoid being beaten to death by Major General Hu, he revealed his strongest combat form. First, he took a large, capsule-like object from his right waist and slammed it onto the ground.]

[With a loud BANG, a giant turtle, two meters long, instantly appeared at the center of the battle. Just when you thought they would join forces to attack Major General Hu, a shocking change occurred.]

[Man and beast merged into one. Although its human characteristics were still apparent, its size had increased significantly. A shell had grown on its back, and wrinkled, tough skin covered its arms and legs, giving it an appearance that was clearly very resistant to blows.]

”Huh?”

As Chen Pingchuan looked at the simulation’s message, an image from an anime from his past life appeared in his mind.

Isn’t that large capsule just a high-tech Poké Ball? And this Gui Nan Yilang... isn’t he basically a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle?

”How did they do that?”

”Interesting.”

Chen Pingchuan was intensely curious about what the simulated scene actually looked like, but since he couldn’t physically travel there, he had no choice but to let it go.

[Seeing Gui Nan Yilang use his fusion transformation technique, Major General Hu quickly summoned his White Tiger Pet Beast. Compared to the turtle, the tiger was even larger and more formidable, emanating an aura of kingship that spread in all directions.]

[Once Major General Hu completed the fusion with his pet beast, his human features vanished without a trace. His height soared to 2.6 meters and his body rapidly expanded, revealing explosive muscle lines and a ferocious, bloodthirsty facial expression.]

[What you found amusing was that Major General Hu’s humanoid body was now topped with a massive tiger head, the character for ’King’ proudly displayed on its forehead. Once both had completed their transformations, they launched into a brutal, flesh-on-flesh collision.]

[The two Beast Tamers clashed head-on for an hour with no clear winner. Although Major General Hu could press his opponent with a savage offensive, the turtle shell’s defense was simply too tough. Each time he faced the potent tiger claws, Gui Nan Yilang would retract his head into his shell.]

”A coward hiding in his shell, is he?”

Chen Pingchuan was somewhat puzzled by what his simulated self was up to. What benefit could he possibly gain by inciting infighting between Major General Hu and Gui Nan Yilang, a minor leader on Spirit Beast Island?

[You sat on a nearby stone, somewhat bored, watching the two combatants go from energetic to showing clear signs of fatigue. You knew your moment to enter the stage had arrived.]

[You stood up, pulled a potion bottle from your waist, and took aim at Gui Nan Yilang’s head. Just as he tried to use his old trick—the head-retraction tactic—to dodge Major General Hu’s powerful tiger claws, your potion whistled through the air. It collided heavily with his head and exploded.]

[The potion took effect with extreme speed. The veins on Gui Nan Yilang’s head bulged instantly, his face flushed crimson, and the rest of his exposed skin began to swell with blood. His instinctive move to retract his head into his shell was forcibly halted.]

[Major General Hu, of course, would not let such an opportunity pass. His tiger claws tore through the air and landed heavily on Gui Nan Yilang’s head. The battle was over.]

[The scene became extremely gory and violent. Gui Nan Yilang’s turtle head was smashed open, spurting blood wildly. Below, without the control of his brain, an uncontrollable spray began as well.]

”What a messy fight.”

Chen Pingchuan had, at some point, developed a habit of talking to himself. Whenever the simulation’s information surprised him, he couldn’t help but make a short comment. This mental state was already beginning to diverge from that of an ordinary person. Yet, Chen Pingchuan himself was completely unaware of this. He was so amused by the simulation that he burst out laughing.

The laughter startled the dozing Black Demon One. It slowly lifted its head to look at its master, its eyes filled with confusion. The master’s madness is getting worse and worse, it thought to itself.

[Major General Hu dispelled the fusion. His expression was somewhat gloomy and he was once again lost in confusion, unsure of what path to take. After all, he had just killed the branch leader. No explanation he gave would likely be believed by headquarters.]

[Gazing at his somewhat weakened pet beast, the White Tiger, Major General Hu first recalled it into a space capsule. Then, with a wry smile, he turned to you and asked what he should do next.]

[Major General Hu stated that although he didn’t understand your intentions, he chose to trust you and go crazy this one time. He warned, however, that if you planned to escape, you should do it now. Once the news reached headquarters, there would be no other chance.]

[You stared into Major General Hu’s eyes, trying to discern what lay hidden in their depths. Ultimately, you concluded that he truly acknowledged you from the bottom of his heart and, from this moment on, would harbor no ulterior motives.]

[Your expression remained calm and unwavering, your gaze as profound as the starry sky. You told Major General Hu not to be pessimistic, for you both had a bright future ahead.]

[In the following week, Spirit Beast Island was abruptly plunged into a storm of blood and gore. All the Beast Tamers on the island faced the darkest moment of their lives.]

[The Holy Spirit Sect—a name for a religion temporarily concocted by a madman and a fool.]

[Beast Tamers who agreed to join the Holy Spirit Sect had to surrender their communication devices and undergo an entrance assessment. Those who refused were imprisoned and implanted with parasitic seeds.]

[In just one week, Spirit Beast Island had a new master.]

[Inside the council hall, Major General Hu stared in shock at Gui Nan Youlang, who knelt before you. An involuntary fear grew in his heart. Just a few days ago, this was a man who wanted nothing more than to tear into the flesh of his father’s killer. Now, he was your loyal lackey.]

[The experiences of this past week had made Major General Hu question his own reality. He had personally witnessed how you inserted those tiny seeds into the Beast Tamers’ bodies, and how those once-unyielding men had been transformed into docile lapdogs.]

[He knew that from the time he was born until now, whether it was the Blood Beast Ban, the Mechanical City, or even the mysterious Doomsday Holy Sect, he had never heard of such a method capable of altering a person’s thoughts and will, of enslaving their very mind.]

[Considering your identity as a Divine Spirit, Major General Hu supposed it made sense. But why kill Gui Nan Yilang, and in such an unusual way? He must have had a reason.]

[After Gui Nan Youlang exited the conference room, Major General Hu finally voiced his confusion. He asked why you didn’t spare Gui Nan Yilang’s life, pointing out that he was a Seventh-Transformation Fusion Realm Beast Tamer and still a capable asset.]

[You did not directly answer Major General Hu’s question. Instead, you gazed toward the sky, as if something beyond the horizon was watching you.]

[You told him there was no reason. Gui Nan Yilang had only his unfortunate name to blame, for it reminded you of a disgusting memory.]

[You then instructed Major General Hu that once the situation stabilized in a couple of days, he was to dispose of Gui Nan Youlang and his entire family.]

[Major General Hu was terrified by your cold-bloodedness. He no longer knew if his initial choice had been the right one, but at this point, there was no turning back. He had to see this path through to the bitter end.]
