Apocalyptic Wasteland Simulator

Chapter 95 - 93: Unexpected! The Love of My Life Dies, I Choose to Destroy the World_2
Then, she re-equipped her battle armor, once again transforming into the awe-inspiring Valkyrie. What puzzled Chen Pingchuan was that Xia Qingxue’s subsequent actions seemed utterly mad. She suddenly aimed the Scythe of Death at her own Mechanical Legion.

The outcome was obvious. Even Chen Pingchuan couldn’t withstand the attack, so these low-level Mechanical Men were even more vulnerable. Within mere minutes, Xia Qingxue slaughtered them all.

To be honest, I can’t fathom her intentions at all. If it were to mourn me, it might barely make sense. But to kill all her subordinates... does she not plan on answering to the Celestial Palace when she gets back?

Men tend to be more rational, while women are usually more emotional. Even when faced with the same matter, their acceptance of the result can be vastly different.

After wiping out the Mechanical Legion, Xia Qingxue returned to Chen Pingchuan’s side, gently embracing him. She began to hum an unknown song, its melody resonating with grief and longing, like a lament.

When the song ended, Xia Qingxue softly wiped the tears from the corners of her eyes and whispered to Chen Pingchuan, ”Chuanchuan, you only needed to wait for me for ten more years. Then I would take control of the Celestial Palace, and we could be together forever. Why did you have to appear here?

”Are you afraid I might discover your romantic affairs? It doesn’t matter. I can forgive and forget. At worst, I’ll just throw them all into Dark Hell. After all, the past should remain in the past. You just need to wait for me.”

A madness began to glint in Xia Qingxue’s eyes, making even the incorporeal me shiver. Is this woman in front of me really the same shy, innocent girl from a year ago who would blush at a few dirty jokes? Considering the inheritance method of Celestial Palace No. 1, the reason must lie there. But I’m completely ignorant of its secrets. I can only hate my former self for wasting so much time.

In reality, Xia Qingxue’s psychological state was far worse than Chen Pingchuan had imagined. This extreme dissonance in her mental state was what drove her to such mad actions.

”Requesting access to the Celestial Palace No. 1’s strongest Pangu AI system.”

”Connecting, please wait...”

”Connection successful. Your permission level is detected as the highest, automatically granting you all permissions to the Pangu system. You can access all information in the database and may enable the AI assistant for operations.”

”Activate AI assistant.”

”Honorable Supreme VIP User, hello. I am Xiao Gu, the intelligent assistant of the Celestial Palace’s strongest Pangu AI system. How may I assist you?”

Since Xia Qingxue did not choose to hide her actions, Chen Pingchuan was able to see and hear everything directly.

Based on the current situation, she must be contacting the Celestial Palace headquarters. This is actually kind of funny. She’s still just a little girl at heart. She was quick to kill them all, but now she has to figure out how to salvage the situation.

Xia Qingxue’s extreme grief over his death filled Chen Pingchuan with a perverse sense of satisfaction.

That’s just how men are. In the final moments of life, seeing someone so grief-stricken over you brings a unique sense of satisfaction. It isn’t vanity; it’s an affirmation of your own worth.

As for why the Pangu AI’s assistant program had a little girl’s voice, Chen Pingchuan didn’t find it strange at all.

Who says Pangu has to be male? Why can’t it be a girl? A sweet, soft little Gugu—talk about a stark contrast! Besides, it’s just the virtual avatar for an AI. Nothing about it would be surprising. Too bad I can’t type or speak; otherwise, I’d totally drop a couple of those funny dog head emojis right now. Stuck in this soul state, all I can do is crack jokes in my head.

”Initiate the Nirvana Plan. Reason: unknown threat. Objective: cleanse all life on the planet. Preparation time set to the minimum standard of five minutes. Requesting activation.”

”Please confirm whether to initiate the Nirvana Plan. WARNING! WARNING! WARNING! Once this plan is implemented, the entire planet will revert to a primitive state. Do you confirm?”

”Confirm!”

”WARNING! WARNING! WARNING! Once this plan is implemented, the entire planet will revert to a primitive state. Do you confirm?”

”Confirm!”

”Please confirm whether to initiate the Nirvana Plan. WARNING! WARNING! WARNING! Once this plan is implemented, the entire planet will revert to a primitive state. Do you confirm?”

”Confirm!”

”The Nirvana Plan has been initiated. Time remaining until planetary reset: 04:59.”

The piercing warning sounded three times. After Xia Qingxue’s triple confirmation, the terrifyingly named Nirvana Plan was finally activated.

What is she up to now? This five-minute countdown gives me the strange feeling of watching a terrorist set off a bomb. And not only that, even though I’m already in an incorporeal state, why do I feel cold? Why is my soul trembling? I’m already just a soul. Surely it can’t extinguish my soul too, right? Even if it could, wouldn’t that be a direct challenge to the authority of the Simulator? We agreed on one day, and now a few hours are just gone? This is going to make the Simulator look really bad.

Even now, Chen Pingchuan hadn’t realized the gravity of the situation and still had the mind to let his thoughts wander, considering there was nothing else he could do.

Suddenly, Xia Qingxue’s communicator popped open, and a woman’s furious, terrified scream erupted from it:
