Struggling to Survive with Regression Power in the Primordial Saint Sect

Chapter 530: Joint Punishment upon the Pure Land!

Jiangdong, Tianwu Hall.

Within a dim grand hall, a young man with twin horns sat cross-legged. Around him, the image of the Milky Way water ceaselessly washed over his qi flow.

Suddenly, his eyes opened in astonishment:

“Ah. I succeeded?”

During this period, Tian Qiu had been in secluded cultivation, attempting to use the power of 【Laws of the Immortal Kingdom】 to cleanse himself of the karmic ties and Buddha Fate originating from the Pure Land.

Yet the effect had always been minimal. The strength of that Buddha Fate far exceeded his expectations, which made him inwardly resentful: ‘Had the image of the 【Heavenly River Water】 not been fractured, how could I be in such dire straits? With just a sweep, all that Buddha Fate and karmic residue wouldʼve been cleansed. None would remain on me.’

Alas, after the change in heavens, the supreme seat had shifted.

The image that once belonged to 【Heavenly River Water】 had been divided among rivers, lakes, and seas—among the five other water-based Dao Fruits—creating a situation where the sovereign weakened while the ministers grew strong.

The once-supreme 【Heavenly River Water】.

Now placed among the water Dao Fruits, had instead become the weakest. This proud Supreme Dao Fruit not only offered no enhancements, but even dragged him down.

Thus, when the karmic ties of Buddha Fate were suddenly cleansed, Tian Qiu was truly startled.

“Could it be that my cultivation has advanced greatly?”

In any case, having rid himself of the Buddha Fate was a good thing. If he weren’t currently in Jiangdong, he would have surely returned to his dragon form and gone to the sea to celebrate.

Tian Qiu happily walked out of his secluded cultivation hall.

And the very next second, he froze.

Because at this moment, the entire city of Tianwu was steeped in killing intent. A massive number of armored troops were heading out in organized formations.

‘What’s going on? Have Tianwu remnants rebelled?’

Just then, a beam of escape light descended—it was none other than the highest-ranking cultivator in the Dao Court aside from Lu Yang, dressed in phoenix crown and luan robes: Empress Xiao.

“Your Majesty.” Tian Qiu hurriedly bowed.

Although strictly speaking Lu Yang now ruled the Dao Court and this woman was no longer empress, everyone still addressed her as such.

After all, those in the know understood.

“You’ve emerged from seclusion? Then come with me.”

Empress Xiao glanced at Tian Qiu and said in a deep voice, “You’ve at least reached the peak of Foundation Establishment. That’s another support for us. Fellow Daoist, this time we are doing something big.”

“Something big?”

Tian Qiu was momentarily stunned but remained calm. After all, having lived through Lu Yang’s usurpation of the Dao Court, no news could shake his heart anymore.

So he casually asked, “What big thing?”

Empress Xiao’s chest rose and fell, seemingly suppressing inner shock. After a moment, she said in a low voice, “We are marching against Jiangxi… to avenge the past grudge of the Pure Land!”

Tian Qiu: “...Ah?”

Jiangxi, Supreme Bliss Monastery.

Though a borderland facing Jiangdong, this monastery shone brightly, exquisitely beautiful. Even within the temples, debauched music floated through the air.

Inside the grand hall, countless monks sat, drinking wine, eating meat, enjoying unrestrained freedom. Beside each monk sat a mortal dancing girl. Whenever aroused, they would act without the slightest restraint, regardless of being under public gaze.

At the head of the hall sat a mountain of flesh.

Fat-headed, big-eared, broad-shouldered, round-waisted—with limbs disproportionately small compared to the grotesque bulk—he was gnawing heartily on a chunk of meat.

This flesh-mountain was the Arhat of Supreme Bliss Monastery.

Dharma name: 【Lust Mountain】.

As the name implied, his Dao Foundation was a mountain. He cultivated through the Seven Emotions and Six Desires, practicing indulgence and pleasure.

Just then, a monk hurried over with a worried face:

“Milord… please stop for a moment.”

The music within the temple halted abruptly. Lust Mountain Arhat furrowed his brows and looked down. The monk who spoke was instantly drenched in cold sweat.

Still, he opened his mouth and said: “Milord, have you not yet received word from the Pure Land? The Buddha Child fell in Jiangdong. We’re right across from there. Staying here would be courting disaster. For now, the best course is to withdraw into the inland monasteries of Jiangxi to seek allies and shelter—”

“Cut the crap!”

Before the monk finished, Lust Mountain Arhat slapped him to the ground and laughed heartily: “With the World-Honored One above, do you think we fear Jiangdong?”

“Let me tell you this—”

“The great ones of the Pure Land have already arranged everything. Just waiting for those rats to come. No matter who arrives, the outcome is the same—death!”

Having said that, Lust Mountain Arhat shouted again:

“Continue the music! Continue the dancing!”

In an instant, the lascivious tunes resumed. Only then did Lust Mountain Arhat nod in satisfaction, reaching out for another chunk of meat—only to grasp at empty air.

“Hmm?”

Lust Mountain Arhat paused. A strange premonition stirred in his heart. Not only he, but every cultivator of Buddhism present simultaneously felt it and looked up.

Then, their pupils froze.

A blazing golden light descended from the heavens, flooding the pupils of every Buddhist cultivator, freezing their expressions. Subconsciously, a truth surfaced in their minds:

‘How dare lowly servants gaze upon imperial radiance?’

【Sunlit Imperial Radiance Talisman】!

This Dao technique descended, severing divine senses and sending minds adrift beyond the heavens. All Buddhist cultivators present were immobilized where they stood.

Next came a sword cry:

“Zheng——！”

No pain followed. The sword light swept like a hurricane through autumn leaves, leaving behind only headless corpses—no blood spurted forth.

“Rumble!”

In the next second, without its presiding Arhat, the entire Supreme Bliss Monastery collapsed. Only the mortal dancing girls were protected and sent away.

Above the sky, Lu Yang stood with hands clasped behind.

At this moment, Supreme Bliss Monastery was no exception. Beyond Jiangdong, forces from Jiangnan, Jiangbei, and overseas had all invaded Jiangxi!

From all directions, united to destroy the Pure Land!

Lu Yang gazed far into the distance, as if seeing into the depths of the current Pure Land. There, an aura unlike that of this world stirred.

Lu Yang recognized the figure.

‘【Dragon-Serpent Coiling Shadow Bodhisattva】.’

A heterodox True Lord of the Pure Land. Originally meant to retreat into seclusion with the others, yet unlike the local True Lords, heterodox ones had more leeway.

‘Generally speaking, heterodox True Lords, to go further in this wretched realm, would integrate with the world, spread their teachings, and raise cultivators to elevate their own Dao Fruit. Thus, when 【World Without Worry】 opened, they too lost their support and were forced into hiding.’

‘But there are always exceptions.’

‘If a heterodox True Lord severs the path of progress, cuts ties with heaven and earth, and reverts to their original form, they could ignore the blockade of 【World Without Worry】.’

But no one would choose such a path.

Except 【Dragon-Serpent Coiling Shadow Bodhisattva】—for as a Bodhisattva of the Pure Land, his path was not his own to choose.

‘That said, the Pure Land paid a steep price for this.’

‘After all, despite being heterodox, he had the potential to switch to the orthodox path and take a Dao Fruit of the Earth element, becoming a local True Lord.’

‘If successful, the Pure Land would possess three elements—enough to produce a late-stage True Lord.’

‘But now, in order to stop me, the Dragon-Serpent Coiling Shadow Bodhisattva has been forced back into a heterodox state. Until his death, he likely wonʼt be able to reintegrate.’

Considering this, the Pure Land truly had bet their lives.

Thinking to this point, Lu Yang suddenly grinned: “All the better.”

In the next second, the Golden Nature of Auspicious Fortune was already in his grasp.

Incense Spirits formed the 【Yama Palace】. In a flash, a light of Dao Fruit lit upon him!

Pseudo-Golden Throne!

“Come forth.”

Lu Yang looked toward the depths of the Pure Land, hooked his finger—

“Today, I slay you to prove my Dao!”
