Technological Empire Starts From Shanzhai System

Chapter 136: The Road to High-end Mobile Phones in the Han and Tang Dynasties
Chapter 136 The road to high-end mobile phones in the Han and Tang Dynasties

Because this means that many mobile phone manufacturers can get an extra profit of 20 yuan. A profit of 20 yuan is not a trivial matter!

Before the labor version of Hantang 2, each mobile phone in Hantang could only earn 40 yuan in profit.

If Lin Xuan’s Tangfeng chip platform is used, with powerful performance and many functions, they can earn 20 yuan more in the end. This news will definitely shock people, and then they will show fanaticism!

The reason why so many manufacturers will use the MTK chip platform of Lianfa is because of the adoption of the MTK chip platform.

That is, after adopting the MTK chip platform, their costs will be reduced a lot, and their profitability will eventually increase.

In this case, even selling for 279 yuan seems to be profitable.

So this is a big move, a big move that all mobile phone manufacturers can’t refuse, a big move that makes Lianfuke fear!

With such a big move, Lin Xuan had already sent samples of Tang Feng’s first-generation chips to his own foundry when he first succeeded in tape-out.

After so many days at this time, Ni Guangnan should have led his team of graduate students and doctoral students to successfully put the Tang Feng platform into production.

Thinking of this, the corner of Lin Xuan’s mouth curled into a smile. Lin Xuan was not worried about the sales of Tang Feng’s first-generation chips.

Just like when he was facing the launch of the blade mobile phone before, he was not too worried about the overwhelming publicity.

The first version of Tang Feng hits the majority of DIY mobile phone enthusiasts, and hits the weakness of those mobile phone manufacturers across the country.

They were hit by Lin Xuan just like ordinary consumers faced with the Honor mobile phone of Han and Tang Dynasties.

Certainly cannot refuse high performance and high degree of completion, it can be called a Tangfeng platform that farmers can complete mobile phone assembly.

Next, even if the major mobile phone manufacturers across the country do not choose the Tangfeng platform, then those counterfeit mobile phone workshops or black mobile phone manufacturers without licenses will definitely choose the Tangfeng platform!

With the help of these black mobile phone manufacturers and copycat small workshops, the era of copycat mobile phones will officially come, although the mobile phone license system has not yet been officially released.

The official change from the mobile phone license system to the approval system was in 2005.

With the abolition of the license system in disguise, it became an approval system. At that time, domestic mobile phones really ushered in the era of blooming flowers. Of course, they also ushered in the glorious era of counterfeit and black mobile phones.

After realizing this, Lin Xuan lowered his head and fell into deep thought. The current situation is that he doesn’t have to worry about the future sales of Tang Feng’s platform.

So at this time, Lin Xuan began to calculate how much money he could make. He sold a Tang Feng platform with a minimum price of 30 yuan and a maximum price of 80 yuan.

Tangfeng chip platform uses Tangfeng first-generation chips as the core, plus memory, running memory and other electronic components, etc.

In the end, a semi-finished circuit board with Hantang mobile phone operating system and various software was assembled, and the completion rate reached 99%.

Because there is memory, running memory, etc., the price of Tangfeng platform at this time is actually the final price of various things.

According to the summary of the obtained information, Lin Xuan began to estimate how much money he could earn after selling the lowest matching Tang Feng platform.

10 pieces!

Lin Xuan quickly gave his answer, among which the cost of accessories and labor is about ten yuan.

Among them, the most expensive ones are the three things of running memory, memory, and Tangfeng first-generation chips. These three things account for 90% of the cost.

The cheapest of these three things is the Tang Feng generation chip, and the most expensive is storage and memory.

Although Lin Xuan definitely uses the lowest-end storage and memory, it can only barely support Tang Feng’s system and several software operations. The real memory still depends on the customer to buy an SD memory card and install it.

Among them, the Tangfeng platform must pay taxes, and the taxes are paid in proportion.

So after Lin Xuan finally deducted all kinds of materials, labor, taxes and other expenses, Lin Xuan can get 10 yuan for every Tangfeng platform with the lowest configuration sold.

A mere 10 yuan for a mobile phone, Tangfeng platform hardly makes any money.

Of course Lin Xuan is preparing to develop hundreds of alternatives, among which these alternatives are where the real money is made.

Moreover, there are medium and high allocations. Lin Xuan’s profit must be higher than 10 yuan, and it may reach more than a dozen yuan by then, and the highest allocation may reach about 20 or 30 yuan.

This can be done!

In Lin Xuan’s mind, he recalled the news that 80 million counterfeit mobile phones were sold in 2007. Combining counterfeit mobile phones with ordinary mobile phones, maybe hundreds of millions of Tangfeng platforms can be sold in a year!

After Ming realized this, he knew why Lianfuke was able to successfully transform into a smartphone chip manufacturer. Without him, the profit in the counterfeit mobile phone market is too huge.

At this time, Lin Xuan has a little confidence in the future acquisition of Zhongxin International. Through the counterfeit phone market, Lin Xuan can save a year or two of profits for Lin Xuan. Lin Xuan may be able to save enough money to buy Zhongxin International in a year or two!

But one or two years is too long, Lin Xuan is fighting for the day and night!

To acquire the goal of Zhongxin International, Lin Xuan still needs to enter the mid-range and high-end mobile phone market.

Now with the launch of Lin Xuan’s Tangfeng platform, soon the low-end mobile phone market will not have its own characteristics.

For example, Honor 1 has waterproof, drop-proof, good-looking features, etc., so face those counterfeit mobile phones or black mobile phones.

All mobile phone manufacturers across the country will face the pressure of too much market competition, low profits and the end of being unable to continue.

For example, according to a certain historical law, at the end of 2005, Bodao Mobile revealed that it lost more than 1 billion yuan!

So, if Lin Xuan wants to develop Hantang Technology and acquire Zhongxin International, then Lin Xuan must enter the mid-to-high-end mobile phone market.

Because according to the 28th law, often 20% of high-end things can often eat 80% of the profits.

So if Lin Xuan wants to make enough money to acquire Zhongxin International, he must enter the mid-to-high-end mobile phone market instead of competing with Bodao mobile phones in the low-end mobile phone market in the name of cost-effectiveness!

Thinking of this, Lin Xuan lowered his head and fell into deep thought. Now the high-end mobile phone market is still dominated by foreign brands.

At present, the most famous wave island mobile phone in China, they actually mainly sell low-end mobile phones. Although they also have high-end mobile phones, the sales volume is simply unbearable.

From this, it can be seen that the people of Daxia are not blind and rich, they also have the ability to distinguish!

Even Boshima, the leader of domestic mobile phones, cannot enter the high-end field, so other mobile phone brands such as TLC, Amoi, Kejian, etc. will naturally not be able to enter the high-end field.

So, for now, the field of high-end mobile phones is dominated by foreign mobile phone brands.

Its main brands are Motorola, Nokia, Ericsson, Sanxing, LG, Siemens and NEC.

As for the so-called high-end mobile phones, their prices are usually between 2500-4000 yuan.

Consumers at this level are wealthy people, and they pay more attention to mobile phone screens, ringtones, cameras and shooting effects, and multimedia entertainment performance.

These are rich people in Daxia, who are very picky about the experience of mobile phones.

For example, for mobile phone cameras, they require 300,000 pixels for entry-level cameras, and then for mega-pixels, or even higher than 2 million pixels for low-end digital cameras.

In terms of the screen, in addition to the size not smaller than 1.8 inches, they also have higher requirements for the display effect.

For example, a 65,536-color TFT screen is already considered the basic configuration of a high-end mobile phone, and a mobile phone screen with 260,000 colors is gradually becoming popular.

Among them, the first-generation Hantang Honor mobile phone not to mention the lowest 65536-color TFT screen, the domestic low-end screen of the first Hantang Honor mobile phone cannot display 256-bit colors!

In this case, if Lin Xuan wants to enter the high-end mobile phone market, he must develop a new mobile phone from scratch.

But this is not enough to make Hantang’s high-end mobile phones rise or become outstanding!

Although Lin Xuan has a system buff, the drop resistance and water resistance of Hantang’s high-end mobile phones are absolutely amazing.

But the question is what are the characteristics of Lin Xuan’s mobile phone? Or how can Lin Xuan’s mobile phone survive in the high-end mobile phone market?

Everyone has the same functions, the same big screen, the same beautiful casing, and many functions of high-end mobile phones are actually similar.

In this case, simply relying on a drop resistance and waterproof, these two points are not enough to attract those high-end consumers.

Fall-resistant and waterproof, this can only attract mid-end and low-end consumers, because they have little money and cannot withstand the phone being broken or damaged by water.

As for high-end mobile phone customers, they have plenty of money and can afford high-end mobile phones starting at 2,500 yuan in 2004. Are they really short of money?

So the two points of anti-drop and waterproof are not enough to attract these real rich people, even if a mobile phone is broken, they will not feel distressed.

For this kind of high-end customers, they don’t care about drop resistance and waterproof, but for real high-end mobile phone customers.

They care more about the experience of various functions or more directly, that is, to have a good-looking appearance, a good sound on the phone, clear pictures and videos, and more functions...

So Lin Xuan’s mobile phones of the Han and Tang Dynasties have extremely attractive features of anti-drop and waterproof in the low-end and even mid-range fields, but they have little effect on high-end mobile phones.

”How can the Han and Tang mobile phones break the situation?!”

Lin Xuan lowered his head and fell into deep thought.

Hantang Technology Co., Ltd. has adopted the same strategy as Guowei mobile phone for mobile phones.

That is the strategy of using Guowei for high-end mobile phones and Honor for low-end mobile phones, so what Lin Xuan just said was Hantang mobile phones, not Hantang Honor mobile phones.

Lin Xuan lowered his head and fell into deep thought. From time to time, stewardesses twisted their waists and passed by Lin Xuan and scratched their heads.

If they are wearing stockings at this time, with their delicate and slender legs, they will definitely be a wonderful scenery.

But Lin Xuan was not tempted by the temptation of their stewardess uniforms, and he didn’t even look at them, which immediately made many ”passing by” stewardesses sigh inwardly, and cursed Lin Xuan for being a big fool in their hearts.

Under such circumstances, time passed bit by bit. Lin Xuan lowered his head and fell into deep thought. After tens of seconds, a flash of light flashed in Lin Xuan’s mind.

”That’s right, I can do that!”

Lin Xuan’s eyes lit up, he knew how to break the situation, how to make his mobile phone compete with other high-end mobile phones in the field of high-end mobile phones and gain the upper hand!

High-end mobile phones have several major hardware components, they are screen, processor chip, memory, camera module, and battery.
