Reborn As a Snake, I Can Absorb Fear

Chapter 136 Handing over Trunk to appease the Great White Serpent’s rageThe news that the Big White Snake was heading to Los Angeles quickly reached the high-level officials of the USA.

Not just the USA, but high-level officials from all countries monitoring the movements of the Big White Snake received the news immediately.

Although they could not be entirely certain of the Big White Snake’s destination, its trajectory was set toward the second-largest city in the USA, Los Angeles.

High-level officials from all countries couldn’t help but break into a cold sweat for the USA; Los Angeles was one of the top international metropolises in the world.

If such a major metropolis were destroyed by the Big White Snake, the losses for the USA would be immeasurable; it was the lifeblood of the entire western region of the USA.

What could be done? Could the USA stop it?

Inside the Presidential Palace of the USA.

All the high-level officials were anxious, and President Trump had yet to wake up.

No one dared to step up to take charge of such a massive mess.

”President Trump has not yet awakened, and we cannot let things continue to develop like this,” said the Minister of Finance.

”Vice President Frank, with the President absent, you are the first in line of succession; you should be the one to make a decision,” said the Secretary of State.

”I am only the Vice President. With President Trump still here, how can I be the one to make decisions? If decisions need to be made, it should be the Cabinet making them.”

”President Trump is currently unconscious and has lost the right to exercise the powers of the presidency. I propose that Vice President Frank assume the presidency,” the Speaker of the House suddenly said.

”Seconded!”

”Seconded!”

Everyone else immediately expressed their agreement, their gazes, whether intense or mocking, fixed on Frank.

Frank’s face was as gloomy as water. Under normal circumstances, if he could rise to the presidency and drop the ”Vice” title, he would certainly be very happy.

But what was the situation now?

An unstoppable Big White Snake was about to ravage the second-largest city in the USA. Was he supposed to step up and take the blame for this?

It was simply going too far. That old geezer, President Trump, had to go and fall into a coma at the most critical moment.

There was no such thing as a good deal like that; he had to shift the blame onto him.

Frank gritted his teeth. He knew that according to the constitution of the USA, he could not escape the presidency.

”Fine, then I will act on behalf of the President. As we have discussed before, the Big White Snake is currently unstoppable. Even using nuclear weapons would not harm him, and, moreover, the current situation does not allow us to use nuclear weapons. Therefore, the only thing we can do is to evacuate the citizens as quickly as possible.”

”But evacuating the citizens is only our first step. The Big White Snake will continue to ravage our country. We can abandon one city, but we cannot abandon the entire nation.”

”Therefore, we need to stop the Big White Snake, or rather, negotiate peace with the Big White Snake.”

Frank was truly worthy of being the Vice President; his words were clear and logical, instantly pointing everyone in the right direction.

”Negotiate peace with the Big White Snake?” Many people couldn’t react in time, feeling that Frank was talking nonsense.

”That’s right. Earlier, the intelligence chief Obama told me that the Big White Snake might be controlled by the Dragon Kingdom, so we just need to go and negotiate with the Dragon Kingdom,” Frank explained.

”Yes, the Big White Snake indeed has a close relationship with the Dragon Kingdom, which is why President Trump previously wanted to use nuclear weapons to kill the Big White Snake,” Obama said, stepping forward to testify in a timely manner.

”Then what are we waiting for? Contact the Dragon Kingdom immediately and have them call off the Big White Snake right now!” Several cabinet members couldn’t sit still anymore.

”Everyone, I have already communicated with the Dragon Kingdom, and they did not admit to having any connection with the Big White Snake,” said the Minister of Foreign Affairs.

”They certainly won’t admit it. We must offer enough benefits. Right now, we are being held by the throat by the Dragon Kingdom. In the past, it was us holding them by the throat, and now we are suffering the backlash,” sighed the Minister of Agriculture helplessly.

As the Minister of Agriculture, he had the most say regarding being held by the throat. Although the Dragon Kingdom was a major agricultural country, its seed technology was incredibly weak, and they had always been held by the throat by the USA.

”Therefore, to negotiate with the Dragon Kingdom, besides promising benefits, we also need to show our sincerity first, so that the Dragon Kingdom can see our determination to negotiate peace,” Frank continued.

”What kind of sincerity should we show?” The Secretary of State suddenly had a bad premonition.

”Of course, it is to execute the culprit who destroyed the friendly relationship between us and the Dragon Kingdom.” Frank’s tone was sinister, and his gaze involuntarily drifted toward President Trump’s bedroom.

”Who is the culprit?” the Secretary of Defense asked foolishly.

Frank did not answer immediately, but instead scanned the people present. Many of these people were President Trump’s people, and the first step he needed to take was to pull all of them into the anti-Trump camp.

”Everyone, you must know that the intelligence of a giant beast is not low. Even a dog will hold a grudge if it is bullied, let alone a giant beast with high intelligence.”

”The reason the Big White Snake giant beast holds such a grudge against us is that President Trump offended the Big White Snake and repeatedly tried to put the Big White Snake to death, causing the Big White Snake to seek revenge in anger.”

”All of this was caused by President Trump. He is the sinner of our USA. It was he who caused the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people in San Francisco, and it is he who has caused Los Angeles to be on the brink of destruction. Even if a national sinner like him were to be chopped into ten thousand pieces, it would not be too much.”

Frank spoke with great emotion, making many people deeply agree, and the anti-Trump sentiment momentarily occupied the mainstream.

Those who were originally promoted by President Trump did not dare to come out and refute him.

”Therefore, we only need to hand President Trump over to the Dragon Kingdom, hand him over to the Big White Snake, and then the Dragon Kingdom and the Big White Snake will be able to feel our sincerity.”

”This will also give our deceased citizens an explanation.”

Frank finally revealed his ultimate goal: to push President Trump out as a scapegoat.

Everyone was silent, but it was obvious that most people were showing signs of being swayed.

Even those who had previously supported President Trump were wavering in their hearts. Pushing President Trump out not only had the possibility of appeasing the Big White Snake’s anger, but more importantly, it could provide an explanation to the suffering citizens.

With such a win-win situation, even the most loyal to President Trump could not withstand the test.

The main thing was that President Trump was currently unconscious; who would be loyal to a living dead man?

”Does anyone have any different opinions?” Seeing that no one spoke up to express their stance, Frank couldn’t help but frown. ”Now is not the time to hesitate. The Big White Snake’s forward march has not stopped. For every second you hesitate, it will cause incalculable losses to our country.”

”I agree,” the Secretary of State was the first to step forward and express his stance.

”I agree too.”

”Agree.”

Soon, more than half of the people agreed with Frank’s plan.

Frank was overjoyed and was about to finalize the plan when a cough came from President Trump’s bedroom.

”Ugh, cough, cough!”

”Great, President Trump, you are awake!” The Secretary shouted loudly from inside, letting everyone outside hear it.

”What?” The Secretary of State and the others were shocked and hurriedly walked toward President Trump’s bedroom.

Frank’s face was gloomy. He did not expect that at such a critical moment, that old geezer, President Trump, would actually pull a Lazarus act.
