Reborn As a Snake, I Can Absorb Fear

Chapter 111 Battle Against the Giant OctopusJiang Feng dragged the crab back to the shore, then decisively snapped off its last leg.

Snakes never show mercy; showing mercy to food is cruelty to oneself.

These two crabs were Jiang Feng’s food. The other crab, even without a single leg, was still struggling to escape.

While Jiang Feng was busy chasing the previous crab, this one had already managed to crawl slowly to the water’s edge.

Jiang Feng crawled over and flipped it back. He flipped both crabs over.

Let’s see how they move now.

The two flipped crabs completely lost the ability to resist and could only continue to contribute fear points.

Jiang Feng looked at the two round shells before him, unsure of how to take a bite.

The crab torsos were too big. Even though Jiang Feng’s body length had reached two hundred meters, his head was actually only four or five meters wide.

No matter how wide he opened his snake mouth, it was impossible to swallow a round torso with a diameter exceeding one hundred meters.

What should he do?

Jiang Feng was troubled. The crab’s shell was incredibly hard and at least several meters thick. It was truly difficult to extract the crab meat inside.

Jiang Feng realized that he was currently not suited for hunting giant beasts over one hundred meters long, especially shelled creatures like crabs, which he couldn’t swallow at all.

Forget it, he might as well keep them to continuously generate fear points.

Jiang Feng thought to himself that crabs actually didn’t have much meat; the shell made up the vast majority of their bulk.

Rather than wasting effort trying to smash the shell to get those few ounces of meat, it would be better to go into the sea and hunt other giant beasts to devour.

He would never kill crabs again.

Jiang Feng made up his mind; unless it was a crab he could swallow in one bite, it was just a waste of energy and time.

To prevent the two crabs from escaping, Jiang Feng moved some stones to surround them.

Now the two crabs were completely stuck with no possibility of flipping over, unless other giant beasts helped them.

The two crabs were still continuously generating fear points, but not many; it was clear that their will to survive had greatly diminished after being tormented by Jiang Feng.

Jiang Feng didn’t pay any more attention to the two crabs; he needed to go out and continue hunting.

Jiang Feng searched for prey along the perimeter of the island. He couldn’t be bothered to even look at animals with a body length under two meters.

As long as they were over two meters, whether it was a fish or some other animal, Jiang Feng wouldn’t let any of them go.

His main focus was devouring. Half a day later, Jiang Feng had filled his snake belly completely.

By this time, he had already moved fifty kilometers away from the island. All the larger fish and shrimp within that fifty-kilometer radius had been devoured by him.

Jiang Feng dragged his massive body and swam slowly toward the island as the sky began to darken.

It was time for him to clock off and go home to sleep.

An hour later, Jiang Feng returned to the island, and the two crabs were still lying there firmly.

[ fear points + 1000 ]

The fear points from the two crabs had dropped to a very low level, but Jiang Feng didn’t mind; it was better than nothing.

Over the better part of a day, these two crabs had provided him with a total of over five hundred thousand fear points.

Jiang Feng was already very satisfied; a snake shouldn’t be too greedy.

Five hundred thousand fear points could be exchanged for over twenty thousand attribute points, which was more than what he gained from devouring a hundred-meter giant beast.

Jiang Feng was very satisfied with this.

Jiang Feng crawled to the side of the cave and began to sleep, using the Devouring Technique to digest his food while he slept.

The night passed without incident. When Jiang Feng woke up again, the sun was already high in the sky, and he gave a comfortable yawn.

A new day had begun. Yesterday, the bellyful of food had increased his Physique by five thousand points.

If he had devoured giant beast meat, it certainly would have been more than this. Jiang Feng also discovered that giant beast meat contained more essence than ordinary fish meat.

He had swallowed over two hundred tons of food yesterday; if it had been giant beast meat, it would have added at least forty thousand points to his Physique.

It seemed he still needed to go and kill giant beasts.

Thinking this, Jiang Feng planned to go further afield today and would not return until he had hunted down a giant beast.

The two crabs were still lying there properly.

Seeing Jiang Feng crawl over, the two crabs contributed a significant amount of fear points once again.

It seemed that after a night of recovery, their will to survive had increased significantly.

Jiang Feng didn’t bother with them; he needed to go out and get to work.

This time, Jiang Feng swam in a single direction, not bothering to devour the small fish.

He didn’t know how long he had been swimming when Jiang Feng finally encountered a giant beast.

It was an octopus over two hundred meters long. Upon seeing Jiang Feng, the octopus showed no fear at all.

It charged straight at Jiang Feng, clearly very confident in its own size.

Jiang Feng noticed that the giant beasts he encountered were basically all over one hundred meters; he had never encountered any giant beasts under one hundred meters, and he didn’t know the reason for this.

An octopus posed no threat to Jiang Feng.

The giant octopus, over two hundred meters long, had a body like a mountain of flesh, with eight legs, each over two hundred meters long.

The base of each leg was thicker than Jiang Feng’s snake body, and every suction cup looked like a giant pot lid over five meters in diameter.

There were no flashy moves; Jiang Feng and the octopus simply wrapped around each other.

The octopus wanted to strangle Jiang Feng, and Jiang Feng also wanted to strangle the octopus.

No, that wasn’t right; he wanted to strangle the octopus’s legs until they broke.

The octopus’s head was too big; he couldn’t strangle it.

Jiang Feng’s snake body was pulled and twisted by the eight tentacles; the octopus hadn’t intended to leave Jiang Feng a way out from the moment it attacked.

It wanted to tear Jiang Feng apart limb from limb.

Jiang Feng only felt a massive force tearing at him; his snake body seemed to be stretching.

Jiang Feng bit into one of the tentacles with his mouth, then wrapped his snake body tightly around another tentacle and began to use the power of Strangulation.

His strength of forty thousand erupted, and a force of over four thousand tons was frantically twisting and crushing the octopus’s tentacles.

In an instant, one of the octopus’s tentacles was squeezed until it burst and broke under the immense pressure.

A look of terror flashed in the octopus’s eyes, and it suddenly sprayed ink everywhere.

Jiang Feng’s vision was immediately obstructed, and he felt as though he were surrounded by darkness.

But his Thermal Sensing still clearly detected the octopus’s location.

Moreover, his mouth was still biting another one of the octopus’s tentacles.

Jiang Feng’s snake body wrapped around it once more, and he began to use the power of Strangulation on the octopus’s second tentacle.

The octopus seemed to sense Jiang Feng’s intention, and its other tentacles tore frantically at Jiang Feng.

Unfortunately, the octopus’s strength was far inferior to Jiang Feng’s; the force of each tentacle was only a few hundred tons, which was not enough to snap Jiang Feng’s snake body.

Bang!

The octopus’s second tentacle snapped off. It sprayed a large amount of ink once again, its speed hitting its limit, and it instantly threw off Jiang Feng and put some distance between them.
