Reborn As a Snake, I Can Absorb Fear

Chapter 14 The Third MoltingSu Ling did not leave Jiang Feng in the same patch of grass as yesterday; instead, she found another secluded thicket.

”Little White, you stay here and play today, okay? Wait for me to come pick you up.”

Jiang Feng’s snake head poked out of the backpack and surveyed the surroundings. This place was relatively remote, with very few students passing by.

Jiang Feng nodded in satisfaction and crawled down from the backpack.

”Little White, you absolutely must not scare anyone. Stay here obediently today, or else I won’t look after you anymore.”

Before leaving, Su Ling specifically gave Jiang Feng these instructions.

Jiang Feng treated it completely as white noise; if he didn’t scare people, how was he supposed to gain fear points?

Even if Su Ling didn’t come to pick him up, it didn’t matter. He now had the ability to survive on his own and didn’t necessarily have to go to the Girls Dormitory to scare people.

After Su Ling left, Jiang Feng began to summarize last night’s gains. He had fallen asleep as soon as his mental energy was exhausted and hadn’t checked yet.

[Jiang Feng

Species: Camouflaged Human-Eyed Evil Snake (A small evil snake that likes to crawl on women to create fear)

Strength: 10

Physique: 10

Agility: 12

spirit: 30

Toxicity: None

Thermal Sensing: 3 meters

Body Length: 1 meter

Human-Eye Visual Range: 7 meters

fear points: 1400

Abilities: (Camouflage) (Evil Snake Domain)]

1400 fear points. That one ’game’ last night alone yielded 1300 fear points from Su Ling and Chen Qian.

”Haha, I earned it all back in one go.”

Jiang Feng first added 8 points to Agility, then increased his Human-Eye Visual Range by 3 meters. He didn’t increase the Thermal Sensing distance; he didn’t have much need for it right now, mainly because he hadn’t been active at night, which is when Thermal Sensing is necessary.

He consumed 460 fear points in an instant. After thinking it over, Jiang Feng simply spent another 400 points to bring both Strength and Physique up to 20.

As his Physique reached 20, an itching sensation spread through his body once more. He was about to start molting again.

Fortunately, no one was disturbing him now, so he could molt here in peace.

Over an hour later, Jiang Feng completed his third molt.

This molting process was much better than the previous two times and wasn’t as painful.

After molting, his body was larger, and his length had reached 2 meters.

With such a size and length, he was already like a small python.

With 540 fear points left, Jiang Feng put them all into spirit, bringing it up to 57 points in one go.

His Evil Snake Domain could now cover a radius of nearly 6 meters.

With his current strength, he wouldn’t even fear a couple of security guards. Moreover, his current speed was not something humans could catch up to.

Having finished recuperating, he was now ready to go out and scare people.

After waiting in the bushes for a long time without anyone passing by, Jiang Feng had long since lost his patience.

He crawled out directly and headed down the main road toward the distant sound of voices.

At this moment, by a flower bed forty or fifty meters away from Jiang Feng, four girls were taking photos.

Jiang Feng had heard the girls’ giggling and crawled toward them; subconsciously, he still wanted to scare girls.

Males were creatures prone to resisting. He couldn’t hurt people yet; scaring and hurting were two completely different probabilities. Scaring would at most bring school security, but hurting people would bring not just security, but firefighters or even armed police.

If they just shot him dead then, how could he keep playing?

The four girls taking selfies were completely unaware that a snake had its sights on them.

When Jiang Feng crawled over, they happened to have their backs to him.

The four of them were huddled together, with the girl in the middle holding a phone pointed at their faces.

”Come on, let’s make a gesture together. One, two...”

Jiang Feng curiously crawled up the middle girl’s back. She thought it was just the hand of the girl next to her on her back.

Until a snake head suddenly appeared on the phone screen in front of them.

”Ah!”

The four girls let out a scream in unison.

”A snake!”

The four of them scrambled away in a panic.

”Where’s the snake?”

[fear points +10]

[fear points +10]

...

The four of them looked back at the original spot but didn’t see the snake.

”Ah! Xiaoli, the snake, the snake is on you!”

One of the girls discovered with horror that the snake was on her friend’s body.

The girl named Xiaoli felt an inexplicable dread from the terrified looks in her companions’ eyes.

A massive snake head had already appeared before her eyes.

”Aaaah!”

[fear points +50]

[fear points +60]

Jiang Feng’s current size brought a sense of fear that far outweighed any disgust. He crawled directly across Xiaoli’s face, his body almost completely blocking her vision.

[fear points +80]

[fear points +100]

Very quickly, Xiaoli was scared unconscious.

Jiang Feng felt quite disappointed. The other three girls had long since run far away, and it was too late to chase them.

Even so, Jiang Feng still chased after the nearest sound.

His human-eye vision was only 10 meters; beyond that, everything was a blur, and he could only make out silhouettes.

This was also why Jiang Feng was somewhat wary of the security guards. If a group of them really tried to deal with him, no matter how fast he was, they would use his weaknesses to subdue him—unless he planned to kill them.

Sigh! It’s really inconvenient not being able to crawl inside people’s clothes right now!

”Ah! A snake!”

As he was crawling, a young couple suddenly burst into Jiang Feng’s field of vision.

Jiang Feng wasn’t about to let such an opportunity pass and quickly crawled toward the girl.

Before the girl could react and run, Jiang Feng had already crawled onto her leg.

”Ah!” The girl closed her eyes and screamed in terror.

[fear points +50]

Still the ’ostrich’ type of response.

Jiang Feng was a bit annoyed.

Since you won’t open your eyes, I’ll give you something intense.

Jiang Feng shoved his snake head directly into the girl’s open mouth.

The girl suddenly felt something stuffed into her mouth, and an incredibly terrifying thought rushed into her mind.

She couldn’t help but snap her eyes open, then her eyes rolled back and she fainted.

[fear points +80]

[fear points +100]

Pah! This woman’s mouth stinks; I’m never crawling in there again.

Jiang Feng was quickly driven out by the smell and wiped his head on the woman’s clothes.

Meanwhile, the boy had somehow found a tree branch. He waved it around while shouting, ”Go away, you beast!”

Damn, he actually called me a beast.

Jiang Feng was immediately displeased. Does this guy have any manners?

Jiang Feng crawled straight toward the boy. The boy backed away while using the branch to block him. ”Get back! If you come any closer, I’ll beat you to death!”

The branch whipped against Jiang Feng’s body, and he felt a slight pang of pain.

Beat me to death, huh?

Jiang Feng also got angry. He opened his bloody maw and lunged fiercely at the boy.

”Ah!”

In his panic, the boy tripped and fell to the ground.

[fear points +30]

Jiang Feng had already crawled to the boy’s side and was slowly closing in. The boy backed away in horror.

[fear points +20]

Only this many fear points?

Jiang Feng steeled his heart. Staring at the boy’s crotch, he opened his mouth and lunged to bite.
