Reborn As a Snake, I Can Absorb Fear

Chapter 8: Things Have Gone WrongHowever, as Jiang Feng’s speed increased, another problem appeared before him.

His human eye’s visual range was too short; running too fast made it easy to collide with things.

Out of options, Jiang Feng spent 400 fear points to increase his visual range to 7 meters, making it easier for him to flee.

Jiang Feng didn’t know where to run right now; he just tried to stay as far away from that patch of grass as possible.

But before he had gone far, he suddenly encountered a female student.

”Ah! A snake.”

The female student was startled to see a snake appearing so openly before her.

[fear points +5]

Only five fear points?

Jiang Feng was instantly displeased. What was the difference between 5 points and nothing? Since he had already scared someone, he might as well scare her more.

Jiang Feng crawled quickly toward the female student. She saw a snake-like shadow approaching her at a speed that defied common sense.

She was so scared that she quickly turned and ran.

[fear points +10]

[fear points +10]

Now this is getting interesting!

But it’s still not enough.

Jiang Feng wasn’t satisfied. 10 Agility was enough for him to easily catch up to the female student; an average adult woman’s Agility was only about 7.

So, it didn’t take long for Jiang Feng to catch up to her.

After catching up, without hesitation, Jiang Feng crawled straight up the female student’s leg.

”Ahhh!”

The female student screamed repeatedly, both terrified that the snake would bite her and disgusted by it crawling on her body.

[fear points +50]

[fear points +50]

...

Jiang Feng was secretly thrilled; this was the correct way to farm fear points.

The female student’s screams quickly drew the attention of more students.

But when the other girls saw the snake on her, they all ran away in fear. A few bold male students didn’t run, but they didn’t dare step forward either.

Just then, a beautiful female teacher saw the situation and walked over. The female student, seeing her as a lifesaver, quickly ran to the teacher.

The female teacher didn’t know the situation at first, until Jiang Feng emerged from the student’s clothes, instantly causing her face to pale with fright.

Seeing that the female teacher was actually so afraid of snakes, Jiang Feng’s heart stirred. He decided to go all out, quickly crawling down from the student’s body and heading toward the teacher.

The female teacher was wearing high heels and couldn’t run at all. After just a few steps, Jiang Feng was already coiling around her.

”Ahhh!”

[fear points +60]

[fear points +60]

...

The female teacher’s fear of snakes far exceeded that of the student, and the fear points she contributed surged upward.

How could Jiang Feng let go of such a great fear point extraction machine? He kept squirming and crawling all over the female teacher.

”You beast, let go of Teacher Jiang!” a boy shouted angrily, his gaze looking as if he wanted to skin Jiang Feng alive.

Jiang Feng was startled.

Not good.

With flower-protecting messengers around, he felt quite annoyed!

These flower-protecting messengers were truly everywhere, especially around beautiful women.

A flower-protecting messenger wasn’t someone he could deal with right now; their combat power in front of women far exceeded their usual state.

Jiang Feng quickly added two more points to his Agility, then promptly left the female teacher’s body and fled toward a less crowded area.

”The snake is escaping, catch it!”

”No, this snake is too fast, we can’t catch it.”

”How can there be a snake that runs so fast?”

”Forget the snake for now, let’s go check on Teacher Jiang.”

The flower-protecting messengers gave up after failing to catch the snake; they still needed to comfort the female teacher.

Jiang Feng ran several hundred meters in one breath before hiding in a flower bed and stopping, his snake body feeling a wave of exhaustion.

The intense scaring and fleeing just now had left him somewhat lacking in stamina; after all, his stamina was only five points.

Moreover, a sense of hunger washed over him.

This won’t do; he had to increase his Physique, or he would faint from hunger.

Having just scared the female teacher, the student, and some people around them, he had gained a total of 500 fear points.

Jiang Feng first spent 100 fear points to exchange for 5 points of Physique. After the increase, an itchy sensation spread through his body.

He was about to shed his skin again!

Shedding skin was no simple matter; if things went wrong, it could put him in danger. Shedding was his weakest moment, but since he couldn’t stop it, he had to complete it as quickly as possible.

Jiang Feng endured the sharp pain and began rubbing against the edge of the flower bed. He had to finish shedding before the school security found him.

Meanwhile, the news of Jiang Feng attacking the female teacher and student had already reached the ears of the school’s Security Director. He immediately arranged for school security to begin searching for the snake’s whereabouts.

The flower beds and bushes within a few hundred meters of where the teacher was attacked were the primary focus of the security guards.

Jiang Feng rubbed his body with effort. A few minutes later, he sensed someone approaching.

In his urgency, Jiang Feng quickly used Camouflage, and in an instant, he blended into the environment of the flower bed.

Two security guards searched the area for a moment but found no trace of the snake.

”It’s not here, let’s go over there!”

”Alright.”

After the two left, Jiang Feng breathed a sigh of relief. He revealed himself again and continued rubbing his body.

An hour later, Jiang Feng finally completed his shedding.

This time was undoubtedly much faster than the first, but in order to finish quickly, the process was also more painful.

Damn, that hurts like hell. Why is this shedding so torturous for a snake?

After grumbling, Jiang Feng began to examine the changes in himself.

His size had increased significantly once again, with his length reaching one meter.

He was now truly a large snake.

With his current size, crawling onto someone would generate even more fear.

Not just girls; Jiang Feng felt that with his current size, many boys would also be terrified of him.

It’s just that he probably wouldn’t be able to crawl into women’s clothes anymore.

Jiang Feng hid in the flower bed for a long time. Even if people passed by, he didn’t appear to scare them.

The school was conducting a massive search for him; acting while the heat was on would not be a wise move.

After several hours, the school security still hadn’t found any trace of the snake. The Security Director’s face turned dark, and he gave the security department a harsh scolding.

Meanwhile, the exploits of Jiang Feng, the snake that harassed female students and teachers, quickly spread across the school forum. Someone had even filmed a video and uploaded it.

The incident of a snake harassing girls had already caused a small-scale discussion yesterday. After today’s outbreak, it spread through the entire school like wildfire. The school couldn’t suppress it in time.

Su Ling was once again called to the office by Class Advisor Liu Jing. Liu Jing spoke slowly:

”Su Ling, is that snake harassing people today really not yours?”

Actually, she wouldn’t have suspected Su Ling, but today Chen Qian, Jiang Wan, and the others had solemnly told her that they were harassed by a snake in the dormitory last night.

Then today, the incident of the snake harassing the female teacher occurred, forcing her to suspect that it was the work of the same snake.

Yet Su Ling, strangely enough, hadn’t been harassed. Coupled with Su Ling’s abnormal behavior yesterday, Liu Jing suspected that Su Ling was keeping a snake that could follow her commands.

Su Ling was extremely anxious. She hadn’t expected that during the time she was away, Xiao Bai would cause such a huge mess.
