Reborn As a Snake, I Can Absorb Fear

Chapter 10 The Evil Serpent’s DomainAs for Su Ling, she watched with a blank expression, wanting to step forward and stop Xiao Bai.

But she was afraid of getting into trouble later, worried people would say she had instigated Xiao Bai. If that happened, she wouldn’t be able to clear her name even if she jumped into the Yellow River.

After tormenting the girl for over two minutes, the female student fainted from fright.

Next, Jiang Feng turned his gaze toward the girl who had opened the door, now huddled in the corner, and slithered rapidly toward her under her terrified gaze.

”Ahhh, no!”

The girl’s scalp tingled with fear, and her whole body trembled.

Before Jiang Feng even got close, waves of fear points came crashing toward him.

[fear points +50]

[fear points +60]

This was truly exhilarating; Jiang Feng wriggled his serpentine body.

Seeing that Jiang Feng wanted to keep scaring people, Su Ling hurried over to try and catch him.

Unfortunately, Jiang Feng was prepared; with a nimble maneuver, he easily dodged Su Ling’s grasp.

Su Ling tried again, and Jiang Feng dodged again. As she reached out once more, Jiang Feng launched himself directly onto the girl who had opened the door.

The girl’s body jolted, and she let out another sharp scream.

”Ahhh! Go away.”

She flailed her arms wildly, but in her panic, it was futile; Jiang Feng was already coiled tightly around her.

...

A few minutes later, this girl also fainted from terror.

In the dormitory, only a bewildered Su Ling remained, standing there in a daze.

Who am I? What am I doing? What should I do?

The two girls had contributed a total of 500 fear points to Jiang Feng, making him beam with joy.

However, looking at the still-dazed Su Ling, Jiang Feng immediately became displeased.

You did something bad and you’re still staying here instead of running? Are you waiting to be caught red-handed?

Su Ling was being far too incompetent as a human traitor.

Ignoring her, Jiang Feng slithered toward the door, but he soon discovered it was closed.

Crap!

There was no helping it; as a snake, opening a door wasn’t easy. Not only was it extremely difficult, but the act of opening a door would be far too bizarre for a snake.

Su Ling could accept him scaring people, but she might not be able to accept him having human intelligence.

Jiang Feng bumped the door a few times with his head, trying to get Su Ling’s attention.

Sure enough, the sound of the thumping finally brought Su Ling back to her senses.

She hurried over. ”Xiao Bai, look at what you’ve done. You’ve scared them unconscious. They’ll definitely report this to the school, and people will come to catch you again.”

Although her tone was reproachful, Su Ling still intended to protect Jiang Feng. She bent down to pick him up, then turned the lock and opened the door.

She poked her head out first to look left and right. Seeing no one, she finally felt safe enough to walk out while holding Jiang Feng.

Then she quietly closed the door, silently apologizing to the two classmates inside.

”I’m sorry. For Xiao Bai’s safety, I’ll have to trouble you both for a bit.”

However, Jiang Feng had no intention of stopping there. He immediately wriggled out of Su Ling’s embrace and slithered toward the other rooms in the dormitory hallway.

”Xiao Bai!” Su Ling was startled and quickly chased after him.

After passing several dorm rooms and finding all the doors closed, Jiang Feng had no choice but to keep slithering forward.

Behind him, Su Ling was calling out to him anxiously.

This girl is so timid; she’s even cowardly when it comes to doing bad things.

Jiang Feng didn’t plan on paying attention to Su Ling. This was a rare opportunity. At this hour, most people weren’t in their dorms, so making a bit of noise wouldn’t have much of an impact.

After checking over twenty rooms, Jiang Feng finally found one with the door slightly ajar.

Without hesitation, he burst through the door with a whoosh and slipped inside.

There was only one girl inside, currently listening to music and playing a game.

”F*ck, just go in already! You’re making me feed alone again,” the girl cursed angrily.

She didn’t notice at all that a large snake was approaching her.

Turns out she’s just a noob who specializes in feeding kills.

Jiang Feng climbed onto the chair and raised his head, watching the girl play for half a minute as she fed two more kills.

Outside, Su Ling heard the angry shouting from within and thought Xiao Bai was being beaten.

She slammed the door open and shouted, ”Xiao Bai!”

The person and the snake on the chair both turned to look at the doorway at the same time, though Jiang Feng quickly looked back.

At that moment, his eyes met a pair of eyes whose pupils were rapidly dilating.

”Ahhh!” The gamer girl let out a blood-curdling scream.

Who could imagine the feeling of turning around to see a snake’s head standing upright right behind them? It left an indelible shadow on the gamer girl for the rest of her life; she would never dare to look back again.

The gamer girl’s scream startled Jiang Feng too, nearly making him delay his business.

Jiang Feng thrust himself right into the gamer girl’s face, causing her to roll her eyes back and faint before ten seconds had even passed.

...

The computer screen turned gray; the gamer girl’s character had fed another kill.

”Xiao Bai, can you stop messing around?” Su Ling was truly getting a bit angry.

Scaring three people unconscious all at once—the situation was escalating, and she wouldn’t be able to cover it up.

Jiang Feng also knew he couldn’t keep scaring people. If he continued, Su Ling might actually stop looking after him.

He was still just a weak snake and couldn’t dominate this place yet; he couldn’t afford to lose Su Ling’s protection for now.

Most importantly, he had already slithered past most of the dorm rooms on this floor, and there were no other open rooms for him to go in and scare people.

Jiang Feng allowed Su Ling to hold him, not trying to break free this time.

Seeing Xiao Bai behaving himself in her arms, Su Ling finally breathed a sigh of relief.

”Xiao Bai, if you want to play, I can play with you. Just don’t go looking for other people, okay?”

In Su Ling’s eyes, the Little White Snake’s behavior of crawling on people was just a way of looking for someone to play with.

Just like how cats and dogs enjoy playing with people.

Play?

Jiang Feng’s mind was full of question marks. Who ”plays” by scaring people unconscious?

As expected, perverts have a different way of thinking than everyone else.

After Su Ling carried Jiang Feng back to their dorm, she suddenly came up with a new idea. ”Xiao Bai, you must have gotten dirty slithering around on the floor just now. How about I give you a bath?”

Jiang Feng was speechless. He suddenly wondered if coming back with this woman had been a mistake.

Regardless of whether Jiang Feng agreed or not, Su Ling placed him directly into a bucket and started spraying him with the showerhead, lathering him with body wash as she did.

Big sister, is this really necessary?

Jiang Feng complained inwardly. He was a snake; was he supposed to never touch the ground?

Jiang Feng couldn’t be bothered to resist at this point, letting Su Ling do as she pleased.

He carefully tallied his gains from this round: he had only obtained 200 fear points from the gamer girl, plus the 500 fear points contributed by the two women in the next room. Along with the 400 fear points remaining from the daytime, he now had 1,100 fear points.

His savings were quite substantial.

Jiang Feng opened the exchange list; he wanted to see if there were any good skills he could trade for.

System, list the skills worth one thousand fear points for me.

”Ding! Based on the host’s current situation, three skills worth 1,000 fear points have been filtered for selection.”

”Star Art (Level 1): Worth one thousand fear points. Allows the user to absorb the power of the stars to cultivate the serpentine body.”

”Low-grade Snake Transformation Pill: Worth one thousand fear points. Upon consumption, it can alter human genes, turning them into a half-human, half-snake being.”

”Evil Snake Domain: Worth one thousand fear points. A snake possessing the Evil Snake Domain can create an Evil Snake Horror Game within the domain; participants in the Evil Snake Horror Game can generate a large amount of fear points.”
