Reborn As a Snake, I Can Absorb Fear

Chapter 1 Fear System(Please pity this poor child! I can’t even eat, my brain has been hollowed out, I beg everyone to lend me their brilliant brains for a moment.)

(Warm reminder: Please read with your brains; if your IQ drops, don’t blame me.)

”Su Ling, you’d better throw this snake away, or I’ll report you to the Class Counselor.”

In the dormitory, a girl was confronting Su Ling.

Su Ling was holding a Little White Snake in her arms, gently stroking it with her hand, showing no intention of compromising.

”Chen Qian, the Little White Snake is so pitiful. Why must you be so heartless? It’s a life, you know?”

”I don’t care. If you don’t throw it away today, I’m reporting you.” Chen Qian was relentless.

”You...” Su Ling was speechless, but she still tightly protected the little snake she had just picked up.

Jiang Feng opened his eyes groggily. There were two red, human-like shapes around him, and his vision was blurry.

What’s going on? Am I blind? Why can’t I see clearly?

Jiang Feng felt anxious. He remembered typing for ten hours straight, just reaching the climax, when a sudden wave of dizziness hit him, and then he lost consciousness.

Did overusing my brain damage my optic nerves?

Wait, where are my hands? My feet?

Jiang Feng felt as if the sky had collapsed. He twisted his body and discovered that he had actually turned into a snake.

”Hiss, hiss...” Jiang Feng called out in despair, but uncontrollably flicked his snake tongue.

”Ah! This snake actually dares to hiss at me!” Chen Qian was furious.

Just then, an electronic voice rang out in Jiang Feng’s mind.

[Ding! Fear System activated. Host can obtain fear points by intimidating others. fear points can be exchanged for attributes and skills.]

The system’s voice made the despairing Jiang Feng shudder, his snake body trembling uncontrollably.

He went from sorrow to joy in an instant.

A system? My god! He had actually encountered a real, living system!

As a web novel writer, he dealt with systems all day, but those were fake—things he made up.

But now, he had encountered a genuine system. How could he not be excited?

Jiang Feng made a decision: for the sake of this system, being a snake was fine.

”Little White, don’t be afraid. I won’t abandon you.” Seeing the Little White Snake trembling in her arms, Su Ling thought it was scared by Chen Qian and quickly comforted it.

Jiang Feng felt a warm sensation from his body. Was the owner of this hand his new master?

However, he had no time to think about that now and quickly called up the system interface.

[Jiang Feng. Breed: Little White Snake (a harmless little snake). Strength: 1. Physique: 1. Agility: 1. spirit: 10. Toxicity: None. Thermal Sensing: 3 meters. Body Length: 0.2 meters. fear points: 0]

This is too weak! And no Toxicity? How is this supposed to scare anyone?

”Fine, Su Ling. Since you insist on keeping this snake, I’m calling the Class Counselor right now.” Seeing that Su Ling still had no intention of giving up the snake, the angry Chen Qian picked up her phone to make the call.

”Damn, this woman wants to kill me?” Jiang Feng was shocked.

Although he wasn’t quite sure where he was, he had gotten the gist of their argument.

The person holding him now must be his master, Su Ling.

And the other woman, Chen Qian, wanted Su Ling to discard him, or she would report her.

He didn’t even need to think about the consequences of being reported; Jiang Feng might just get chopped up.

Thinking about his body being chopped into pieces, Jiang Feng shuddered.

Damn woman, you forced my hand.

Since this woman hates snakes so much, she must be afraid of them.

Jiang Feng suddenly thought of a way to gain fear points: he would crawl onto this woman and scare her to death.

Seeing Chen Qian about to make the call, Su Ling reached out to stop her.

Jiang Feng’s snake eyes shifted; his chance had come.

He quickly crawled along Su Ling’s arm and onto Chen Qian.

”Ah!” Suddenly seeing Jiang Feng crawl onto her, Chen Qian let out a scream.

[fear points + 10]

Hehe! Satisfying.

To prevent Chen Qian from shaking him off, Jiang Feng dove into Chen Qian’s sleeve.

Fortunately, Jiang Feng’s snake body was very small, and he met no resistance entering her sleeve.

The cold sensation touched Chen Qian’s arm, making her shiver and scream in terror again.

”Ah! Ah! Ah!”

[fear points + 10]

[fear points + 10]

[fear points + 10]

Chen Qian shook her arm frantically, trying to fling Jiang Feng off.

Jiang Feng felt an irresistible downward force, so he simply let himself fall to the ground and then crawled up Chen Qian’s leg.

Terrified, Chen Qian stomped her feet again.

”Ah! Ah!”

[fear points + 10]

[fear points + 10]

However, the shaking force from Chen Qian’s stomping was nowhere near as strong as her arm-swinging.

Although he was shaken dizzy, Jiang Feng held on tightly to Chen Qian’s calf.

”Ah, ah!”

[fear points + 10]

Seeing that she still hadn’t shaken off the snake, Chen Qian increased the intensity of her stomping.

No, if this keeps up, I’ll be shaken off.

Jiang Feng didn’t want to miss this free opportunity to farm fear points, so he hurriedly opened the system’s exchange list.

Twenty fear points could be exchanged for one attribute point. Strength would allow him to wrap tighter, and Agility would let him crawl faster and move more nimbly.

Jiang Feng didn’t hesitate and immediately exchanged for two points of Strength and two points of Agility. In an instant, he felt his body filled with power.

Chen Qian’s stomping no longer had much effect on him. Seeing this, Jiang Feng gritted his teeth and lunged toward Chen Qian’s thigh.

Chen Qian was wearing a short skirt and no stockings. As Jiang Feng crawled on her bare leg, the squirming and cold sensation gave her goosebumps.

She screamed hysterically.

”Ahhhhh!”

[fear points + 10]

Soon, Jiang Feng slithered up Chen Qian’s thigh to her upper body. Finding a gap in her undergarments, he decisively dove in.

”I’m burrowing, I’m burrowing more, I’m burrowing, burrowing, burrowing!”

The increase in Agility greatly boosted Jiang Feng’s sensitivity. He slithered around inside Chen Qian’s undergarments, driving her to the brink of a breakdown.

”Ahhhh! Su Ling, get this snake off me!”

[fear points + 10]

Although Jiang Feng had crawled into Chen Qian’s undergarments, he couldn’t actually see anything. In his snake eyes, there was only a blur of red, as snake vision relies primarily on Thermal Sensing.

Chen Qian was acting like a madwoman, shaking her body frantically. Unfortunately, Jiang Feng was no longer the weak little snake he had been; no matter what Chen Qian tried, she couldn’t get rid of him.

After some time, Jiang Feng suddenly felt that the fear points had stopped increasing.

The system prompted him that there was a limit to the fear points a single person could provide in a short time.

Seeing this, Jiang Feng decided not to stay on Chen Qian any longer and crawled out from her neck.

Staring in terror at the snake wrapped around her neck, Chen Qian, who had already reached her limit for fear points, contributed even more fear.

”Ahhhh!”

[fear points + 20]

”I’m going to kill you, you snake!”

After Jiang Feng left Chen Qian’s body, she felt reborn. Suddenly filled with endless courage, she grabbed a clothes hanger hanging by the bed and prepared to beat Jiang Feng to death.

Jiang Feng shuddered in fear; his small snake body was no match for Chen Qian right now.

In a panic, Jiang Feng hurriedly crawled into Su Ling’s pant leg. Right now, only Su Ling could protect him.
