Reborn in the Eighties as a Housewife with a Space

Chapter 2399: Chapter 2393: Trampled

”No, it’s just that I remember seeing on TV that speaking loudly might cause an avalanche. I wanted to ask if you’ve ever seen a situation like that?” Qin Xue thought of the disaster movies she had watched before, which indeed showed avalanches, but she wasn’t sure if they could happen in reality. When it comes to disasters, they are natural calamities, and encountering one often comes with heavy losses.

”Are you silly or what? If that were the case, people would be gone, so what’s there to talk about? It’s much better like this; who would want to see such things?” Qing Zhu snapped at Qin Xue. When it comes to these matters, everyone is eager to avoid them, so why would anyone want to see it? Only this silly girl would ask such questions.

Qing Zhu didn’t understand what Qin Xue was thinking about this, but she certainly didn’t want to see such disasters, because that would mean many people losing their homes or even their lives.

”You’re the silly one. I was asking if you’ve seen it, not saying I want to see it. Don’t you know that every year there are many of these irreversible natural disasters, and how many people have died? I was just wondering if they ever encountered it during their frequent trips. I’m worried about them, not saying I want to see it, okay?” Qin Xue retorted against Qing Zhu. She wasn’t the malicious type to wish for such things, moreover, they were in the middle of snow mountains now. If something were to happen, they might be the first to be wiped out.

”Is there any point in arguing with me? I’m not saying it has to be this way. It’s just that you asked, so I answered. Besides, if that were the case, I think everyone hopes such things would never happen in the world.” Qing Zhu said, otherwise, how desperate would one have to be to wish for such disasters to happen.

”Yeah, let’s not talk about such unlucky things; let’s just keep walking. It’s really exhausting.” Qin Xue hadn’t climbed snow mountains before. It was easier to climb with fewer layers, but she was wearing so much that getting up there wasn’t easy.

”Alright.” Qing Zhu didn’t object. She, too, hadn’t walked such routes before, so it was indeed very tiring.

Moreover, climbing snow mountains in such conditions was quite strenuous because they had never done it before. Every step sunk deep into the snow, making it very hard to lift a foot out and walk again. It was, of course, very exhausting.

”Chu Molin, this place looks like it was heavily trodden. Or was it trampled by someone who came up later?” Qin Xue looked at the messy footprints, which seemed like wolf tracks. In such a situation, Qin Xue felt that when a person encounters wolves without any tools, it would surely bode ill.

”I heard Ye Xuan fought with wolves, which is why it’s like this here. But after looking around, it seems they reached the edge of the cliff, but something is strange here.” Chu Molin pointed to a spot and said to Qin Xue.

”Do you mean that Ye Xuan was standing here and when the wolf lunged at him, they both fell off the cliff?” Qin Xue asked Chu Molin while looking at the prints.

”That’s possible. Were these prints always like this, or did you guys make them afterward?” Chu Molin looked up at the sky, noticing it was still snowing. If it was originally like this, he found it hard to believe.

There were no shelters here; snow was falling, and it would quickly cover everything up, so how could the footprints remain so distinct? Qiu Zhiqiang’s next words also confirmed Chu Molin’s suspicions.
