Reborn in the Eighties as a Housewife with a Space

Chapter 2398: Chapter 2392: Have You Ever Climbed a Snow Mountain Before?

The three of them finally arrived at the snow mountain after some time of swaying. Looking at the towering snowy mountain, without the sun shining, the snow never melts—it could even be called the eternal ice mountain. Faced with this, the three looked at each other and then unanimously headed in another direction, where someone was waiting to meet them.

”Deputy Director.” Qiu Zhiqiang was the one sent to meet them; he was the only one here who was most familiar with Chu Molin and the others.

”What’s the situation now?” Chu Molin looked at Qiu Zhiqiang without wasting a word.

”We’re still searching. Everyone has gone to the bottom of the cliff to look, but we’ve been searching for several days without finding anyone. We still don’t know where the captain is.” Qiu Zhiqiang didn’t know how to put it well. They’ve searched all the places they could, but they just couldn’t find the person. Under such circumstances, he didn’t know if Ye Xuan could bear them looking for him.

”Is there any other way?” Chu Molin looked at the mountain, not knowing what dangers lay within, wondering if there were any other incidents when he fell, and that’s why he didn’t reach the bottom of the cliff?

”We’ve thought of all the possible situations and done everything accordingly.” Qiu Zhiqiang didn’t know how else to explain it; they had done all they could, but Ye Xuan was nowhere to be found. The longer it took, the more worried they became.

”Take us up there to have a look.” Chu Molin thought it would be better to see the scene himself before deciding what to do next.

”Where to?” Qiu Zhiqiang asked, puzzled by Chu Molin’s rapidly changing thoughts.

”Wasn’t it said that he fought with a Snow Wolf? Take me to the scene to have a look.” Chu Molin thought only by seeing it himself could he understand the situation; otherwise, no amount of words would be of use.

”Okay, let’s head up this way. At that time, the captain climbed up from there to collect snowdrops, and we went up this way when we noticed something was wrong with him.” Qiu Zhiqiang led Chu Molin up the path they used, knowing the best way to go.

”Hmm, Xue’er, you and Qing Zhu go slowly and walk carefully. Don’t slip.” Chu Molin reminded Qin Xue.

Moreover, under such circumstances, it’s not feasible to slip while going up, as that could cause injury. They were not wearing much to begin with, and getting their clothes wet with snow would make them sick.

”Got it. You be careful too. You walk fast, go up and take a look first. We’ll follow slowly.” Qin Xue and the others were moving slowly, so they let Chu Molin and Qiu Zhiqiang go ahead so as not to delay them.

”No need, we’ll go up together.” Even though Chu Molin wanted to go ahead, he wouldn’t leave Qin Xue and the others behind. No one knew what could happen here, and if he left them and something happened, he would regret it for life. So, even if it took longer, he couldn’t let them be in danger.

”Alright then, we can only go slowly together.” Qin Xue understood his expression and knew what he was thinking, probably worried about the two women.

”Chu Molin, have you climbed a snow mountain before?” Qin Xue asked, panting slightly as she looked up at the mountain top.

”I’ve been to snowy places, but this is the first time on a mountain where the snow never melts year-round. Why do you ask?” Though Chu Molin had some past experiences, he had never stayed on such an endless white mountain.
