Reborn in the Eighties as a Housewife with a Space

Chapter 2381: Chapter 2375: Discovering Snowdrops

”Of course, we have to stick together. There’s no other communication equipment here. If something happens while we’re apart, how can we contact each other? Everyone, remember to keep up and don’t fall behind. This is not the plains; getting separated here can be deadly. The reason the office chose you to come with me is because you have some outdoor experience and you follow orders. So, I don’t want any accidents to happen to any of you during this mission. Do you understand me?” Ye Xuan thought that if transportation and communication were convenient here, separating wouldn’t be a problem. But this is an endless, desolate stretch of snow, and hoping for a miracle is impossible. So, they can only rely on themselves to figure things out.

”Understood.” The team members no longer felt the lightheartedness they had when they first arrived. It was just like Ye Xuan said, nothing but snow everywhere. Even though they were all dressed so warmly, they were still freezing, almost numb. Looking at the peak, it was indeed very high. They had no idea what lay inside. Even if there were wolves in this snow mountain, they were the monarchs of the mountain. If they truly encountered them, let alone capturing them, they couldn’t even be sure of their survival.

”Get your equipment ready and let’s move out. Stay close. I’ll scout ahead, and you’ll follow behind. Qiu Zhiqiang, you take the rear and make sure it’s safe.” Ye Xuan looked at the newcomer to the team. He didn’t understand why the old man had assigned Qiu Zhiqiang, despite his decent performance. After all, he’s a rookie, with no coordination or chemistry with the team. Taking him on a mission posed significant risks.

”Understood, Captain. Don’t worry, I’ll be careful.” Qiu Zhiqiang was also unsure why he was chosen to come along, but he was quite pleased because such opportunities were rare.

Besides, not everyone gets this kind of luck. Many have worked in the office for years without such an opportunity, but he got it, so he intended to cherish it.

Although people have a fear of the unknown, there is also excitement, giving a sense of mystery that people long for.

So, within the group, despite the fear of the unknown, the feeling was generally positive as they started their climb up the mountain.

It must be said, it’s true what they say about young bulls not fearing tigers. The group slowly made their way toward their goal until they reached the mountaintop.

”Captain, is that the snowdrops we’re looking for?” a teammate suddenly shouted.

”Yes, that’s what we’re looking for.” Ye Xuan looked toward the direction his teammate was pointing. They really found it, but it was very high up, because it was on the edge of the snow mountain, on a cliffside. They had considered climbing from that side, but it was too steep and high, and covered in snow, growing halfway up the mountain. It’s tough to pick.

”Captain, let me go up.” The teammate who spotted the snowdrops wanted to pick it, thinking he might be able to reach it.

”No, it’s too dangerous. I’ll go up, and you wait below.” Ye Xuan wouldn’t let them go up. When they wanted to go, he would rather go himself. He’s the captain, and he has to take responsibility for them.

”Captain, it’s just as dangerous for you to go. Let me go.” Another teammate looked at Ye Xuan with concern. This wasn’t his first time working with Ye Xuan, but Ye Xuan always took the lead. He was worried for him. Such a good captain, he didn’t want him to always be the one leading the charge. The captain cared for them, and they wanted the captain to be safe too. So after hearing Ye Xuan’s insistence, he couldn’t help feeling uneasy.
