Reborn in the Eighties as a Housewife with a Space

Chapter 2068: Chapter 2062: Your Brother Loves You Very Much

”Sis, didn’t you say you wanted to take protective measures? I’ve been waiting for you,” Ji Yan said when he saw Qin Xue didn’t understand his meaning, so he had to be direct.

Ji Yan remembered Qin Xue saying the illness was contagious, and since the sister was willing to help the little sister with the illness, waiting a bit for her wouldn’t make a difference.

”I just need to wear this, and you should wear one too. Remember not to touch the blisters on your sister’s skin, okay?” Qin Xue put on a mask and gloves while handing a mask to Ji Yan.

She couldn’t just care for herself without considering this child, so protecting him was also necessary while she protected herself.

Without saying much more, Qin Xue adjusted her attire and let Ji Yan lead her inside.

”Is this all we need?” Ji Yan noted how simple this seemed, not much different from usual, just an added item to cover the mouth.

”Yes, that’s all. If possible, you can use some vinegar at home for disinfection,” Qin Xue thought of boiling vinegar to let it spread in the air for disinfecting, but many families couldn’t even afford food. It’s better to see if there’s a better solution.

”Alright, I’ll take you inside. Xiao Yu, we’re coming in,” Ji Yan called out to his sister inside before entering, just to avoid any inconvenience.

Qin Xue watched Ji Yan’s way of handling things and nodded inwardly, appreciating how well-mannered this child was. She wondered about what kind of family could raise such children and even after losing their parents at such a young age, he didn’t stray. It shows how crucial a solid foundation in childhood is.

”Okay, come in,” Ji Yu responded, trying hard to sit up inside as her whole body felt weak and heavy. Actions that used to be easy seemed so difficult now.

”Xiao Yu, why are you struggling to sit up? Lie down; I’ll get you some water,” Ji Yan exclaimed as soon as he opened the door and saw his sister trying to rise. He rushed to her side, helping her sit back against the bedhead and thoughtfully placed a pillow behind her for comfort.

”Okay, thank you, brother,” Ji Yu was surprised at her brother’s attentiveness. They rarely spent time at home together so she hadn’t realized her brother had matured.

”Wait here, I’ll be right back,” Ji Yan said while glancing at his sister without speaking further. He left the room, not even acknowledging Qin Xue.

”Your brother really cares about you,” Qin Xue commented from the side, not interrupting their interaction. She spoke after Ji Yan left.

”Yes, my brother is very good,” Ji Yu agreed, loving her brother dearly. Only the two of them remained in the family; others were like leeches she wanted to ignore.

”Indeed, otherwise he wouldn’t do everything for you,” Qin Xue murmured quietly, not loud enough for Ji Yu to hear. She didn’t want to know how she might react.

”Sister, how did you get to know my brother?” Ji Yu didn’t hear Qin Xue’s previous remark but felt curious about this sister, suspecting how her brother knew Qin Xue.

”We don’t really know each other. He just trusts me, so here I am. Is there a problem?” Qin Xue refrained from speaking too much about Ji Yan’s actions. It wasn’t the time to discuss this; it would deny the child and harm the young girl’s hope.
