Reborn in the Eighties as a Housewife with a Space

Chapter 2067: Chapter 2061: Breaking Out in Rash

”Okay, I’ll listen to you, sister.” Although Ji Yan said this, in his heart, he remembered the help Qin Xue had given them. He had asked many people for help these days, but no one was willing to help. Instead, they distanced themselves after knowing about his sister’s illness. Only Qin Xue was willing to help them, and Ji Yan would never forget this kindness for a lifetime.

”The way you are shows you’re doing well. I believe you’ll have great achievements when you grow up. Trust me, and promise me, if there’s a chance, learn something, okay?” Qin Xue felt deeply touched as she looked into his eyes.

”I know, sister. My sister and I will listen to you. Your place is like our home. My sister is inside.” Ji Yan led Qin Xue to a house and said to her.

”Your home isn’t too bad. Who usually helps you tidy up?” Qin Xue noticed that although the house wasn’t great, it was tidy and clean.

”My sister tidied it up, but she hasn’t done it since she got sick.” Ji Yan used to help others take care of cows and such. But after his sister fell ill, he didn’t have time to do that anymore. So, when he was out of options, he thought of stealing; otherwise, his sister might really die from illness. Little did he know he’d get caught by Qin Xue and her companions.

”I see. Don’t worry. I’m a doctor. After I check on your sister, if it’s not a big problem, she’ll recover quickly. I’ll also do my best to help you.” When Qin Xue looked at him like this, she thought of Chu Molin’s gaze at this child; she felt there was something in it, so she wanted to help him more.

”Mmm, thank you, sister. Come in, my sister is in the room.” Ji Yan opened the door for Qin Xue to enter.

”Brother, do we have a guest?” Ji Yu’s hoarse voice came from inside the room.

She had been sick for two or three days, with a persistent fever. She felt terrible, but she knew the family had no money and didn’t want her brother to worry, so she didn’t tell him she was sick. However, her brother found out anyway, and he stopped helping with the cows as soon as he got back. This morning, he told her to wait at home while he went out to find a solution.

But Ji Yu had little hope. Both siblings knew their family’s situation; they were different from other families. That’s why, when all options seemed lost, she tried to hide her illness from her brother. Who would have thought that in just two days, not only did her fever not go away, but she also developed many red spots and blisters that itched and hurt.

Initially, she wanted to scratch the rash due to discomfort. But when she heard the door open, she stopped. She was startled but still didn’t know what kind of illness she had. Yet, she didn’t want to die. It was just her and her brother at home; if something happened to her, what would her brother do alone?

So Ji Yu didn’t lose hope. She wanted to find a way to get better. Whenever she felt the urge to scratch, she thought about these things and held back. Just when she almost couldn’t suppress it anymore, the sound of the door opening interrupted her, and as she asked, she also breathed a sigh of relief.

”Xiao Yu, I brought a doctor sister to check on you. You’ll recover soon, trust your brother.” Hearing his sister’s voice, Ji Yan didn’t immediately bring Qin Xue into Ji Yu’s room. He remembered what Qin Xue had said earlier about protecting oneself.

So when he brought Qin Xue in, he waited in the living room for her to speak.

”Why not go in?” Qin Xue didn’t know what Ji Yan was thinking. So after standing still for a moment and seeing that Ji Yan hadn’t moved, she asked.
