Reborn in the Eighties as a Housewife with a Space

Chapter 2065: Chapter 2059: Dead

”Chu Molin, you should go back first. I’ll go check on that child. I’ll clean myself up before I return.” Qin Xue asked Chu Molin to head back, otherwise, if too many people went along, the risk of infection would be much higher. Besides, their family had too many children, which wasn’t ideal, so Qin Xue thought it was better to go alone and there was no need for Chu Molin to tag along.

”Are you sure you’re okay?” Chu Molin looked at Qin Xue with some concern. He wanted to go with her, but he knew his wife wouldn’t allow it, so all he could do was worry about her.

”It’s fine, did you forget I’m a doctor? I will take proper precautions.” Qin Xue, being a healthcare worker, would certainly find a way to protect herself.

”Alright then, just be careful.” Chu Molin felt helpless as well. He was the one who brought the people over, yet the issue had to be resolved by his wife. There really wasn’t anything he could do. After all, he wasn’t a doctor.

”Okay, you take the kids back first, and I’ll come back once I’m done here.” Qin Xue didn’t want them to wait for her there. She planned to finish up, clean herself, and then return, to avoid infecting the children.

”Alright, be careful.” Chu Molin’s heart wouldn’t let him stop his wife from going, he always felt this matter was very important to him.

”Got it, don’t worry.” Qin Xue waved her hand and left with Ji Yan.

”Little guy, my name is Qin Xue, what’s your name?” Qin Xue asked him, thinking she should at least know his name.

”I’m Ji Yan, and my sister’s name is Ji Yu.” Ji Yan said.

”How old is your sister?” Qin Xue looked at this child who was quite young. What about their parents? How could his sister be sick, yet he had to come out alone to steal money for her treatment?

”There’s a one-year gap between my sister and me.” Ji Yan was fourteen this year, his sister thirteen. Their ages weren’t far apart, but their height difference was substantial.

”I see, so where are your parents?” Qin Xue asked another question that concerned her after hearing his story.

”They died in a car accident.” Ji Yan thought about what happened a few years ago. They were at a naive age when it occurred, so they didn’t understand what their parents’ death meant. They just knew that their lives changed dramatically from then on.

Both siblings gradually understood what their parents’ deaths meant, but at that time, they only further grasped what it meant to be looked down upon.

”I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to ask you these things.” Qin Xue hadn’t expected such an answer.

Thinking about car accidents, Qin Xue recalled her own accident, where she could only watch helplessly as she felt herself dying, and the thought chilled her heart.

”It’s okay, I’ve heard a lot over the years; it doesn’t matter anymore to us.” Ji Yan had no other thoughts, as long as his sister could get better.

”So you didn’t receive any help?” Qin Xue wondered. With both parents gone, leaving behind two young children, certainly, someone would take care of them, right?

”No, it was lucky they didn’t finish taking everything from our house; don’t even think about getting any help from them.” Ji Yan thought of those so-called relatives, really like leeches, eager to drain them of blood, how could they help?

”Are you saying your relatives haven’t helped you? What about the village council, the town government, or any such departments? Didn’t they provide any help?” Qin Xue thought they should have received some assistance, as people nowadays are very simple-hearted, and any disputes are usually just petty family matters.

It couldn’t be that they would ignore two children, right? Otherwise, the people above wouldn’t allow it, as everything in a village, like ratings, is greatly related to its residents.
