Reborn in the Eighties as a Housewife with a Space

Chapter 2052: Chapter 2046: Her Dad Took Her Away

”No problem with this, you can rest assured. I know how to manage, and I’ll keep an eye on them.” From here, one advantage of Chu Xiaoqiao watching the shop is that she can see people as they leave.

”Thank you for your hard work. Kids, come upstairs with me to find Nannan and Yuran.” Qin Xue nodded and called the children together.

”Okay, goodbye, Aunt.” The three children responded to Qin Xue, then said goodbye to Chu Xiaoqiao and followed their mother to the backyard to go upstairs and find their friends.

”I told you I heard your voice, but Lili insisted it wasn’t you.” Qing Zhu listened to the increasingly close conversation, and upon stepping out, saw Qin Xue and her children standing at the door.

”Isn’t my voice easy to recognize?” Qin Xue felt her voice was distinctive; just by listening closely, anyone should be able to tell.

”I said it was, but she said it wasn’t. We even made a bet.” Qing Zhu stepped aside to let Qin Xue and her group into the house.

”Aunt Qing, where’s my sister?” Yu Chen asked Qing Zhu as soon as he saw her, wondering where Qing Yuran was.

”Her dad took her away.” Qing Zhu was quite helpless; the man had come early in the morning to take the child, saying he was taking her to see the child’s grandfather and asked if she wanted to go along. She refused, thinking, what’s the point, so she didn’t hesitate to decline.

”Oh, we came to find my sister, but she’s not here.” Yu Chen said dejectedly.

”That’s okay, Nannan is here, you go play with him then.” Qing Zhu said, since her daughter had been taken away, she couldn’t bring her back now, so she told them to play with another child.

”Alright, we’ll go play with Nannan then.” Upon hearing this, Yu Chen agreed they had no other choice.

”Why did you come today? If I’d known sooner, I wouldn’t have let Ye Xuan take the child away.” Qing Zhu asked Qin Xue.

”We came to check how to start the renovation of the shop, and thought of visiting you all. The kids also said they wanted to play with Yuran and the others, so we came.” Qin Xue explained their reason for coming.

”That’s good, with the child not at home, I’ll go with you to have a look later. We can see if there’s anything that can be suggested.” Qing Zhu said matter-of-factly.

”That sounds good. To be honest, I came with that intention. By the way, Yingying hasn’t written you a letter, has she?” Qin Xue thought it had been many days, yet still hadn’t received any sign from Nangong Beiying.

”No, she’s always been like that. She leaves whenever she wants. When have we ever gotten any news from her unless she comes back herself? Otherwise, we shouldn’t expect to find her.” Qing Zhu knew Nangong Beiying’s habits and actions even better than Qin Xue.

So, hearing Qin Xue’s words, Qing Zhu wasn’t surprised at all.

”But this time is different, she left while pregnant, and no one knows about it. Can you imagine how worried I am?” Seeing Dongfang Li and the others weren’t around, Qin Xue brought up Nangong Beiying’s pregnancy to Qing Zhu.

”I suspected something when I saw her walking before, but I just couldn’t bring myself to ask her. I thought of getting together when we had time, so it would be easier to speak frankly. But what surprised me was she left.” Qing Zhu previously refrained from asking due to the crowd and not knowing how to inquire.

To respect her privacy, she hadn’t asked. Who could have expected what followed? If Qin Xue hadn’t told her, she might still be guessing.
