Reborn in the Eighties as a Housewife with a Space

Chapter 1797: Chapter 1791: Scared Me to Death

But the old man gave the main core formula to Qin Xue, and that would make anyone anxious. Later, Qin Xue returned the recipe to the other party, but she had already memorized its contents.

Now, Qin Xue has returned to decades ago, and she’s giving this recipe to her mother. She doesn’t know if doing this will disrupt historical development, but it’s just a difference of decades, so it can’t be considered history.

Qin Xue feels there are still some differences between this space-time and the one she originally lived in and hopes there won’t be too many intersections. Otherwise, she really doesn’t know how to explain it to the original creators.

Even though she won’t get to see her grandparents like this, she still has explanations to give to others, doesn’t she? Qin Xue feels that thinking this way is not right, but there’s no alternative. Gain always comes with loss, which is exactly her situation.

“I understand, I’ll definitely keep it safe, don’t worry.” Originally, Nangong Shulan didn’t feel too worried, but after hearing Qin Xue say this, she felt it was like a hot potato that she couldn’t let go of nor hold onto.

So she can only listen to her daughter; hiding it properly is most important. Otherwise, her daughter’s well-thought-out money-making plan will go up in smoke.

“Mom, I almost forgot to tell you, when your apprentice makes breakfast, they can add a little more water when kneading dough and knead it longer, otherwise the dough won’t have the desired texture.” Qin Xue almost forgot about this.

Luckily, she remembered in time, otherwise after leaving, the only way to communicate would be through letters or telegrams.

“How do you know the dough wasn’t kneaded well? Did you go and eat it?” Nangong Shulan didn’t hear her daughter mention going to their store to eat the pancakes, so how did she know?

“On the day we came back, we passed by the store and bought a few pancakes. The taste was pretty close, but the dough’s texture was off. When seasoning the meat, add a bit more water so the meat can absorb it better.” When chopping the meat, add some water and mix it, so the minced meat absorbs the moisture before mixing in spices and letting it marinate for half an hour. That way, the meat filling will be fresh and tender.

“I see, then I’ll tell him to change it next time.” Nangong Shulan said.

“Wait, Mom, are you saying you handed over the meat filling recipe to that person?” Qin Xue looked at her mother in disbelief. Oh dear, this is an exclusive secret recipe.

“No, I didn’t go to the store. All the filling ingredients are handled by your dad. Your dad said these can’t be let out, so he does it all himself.” Nangong Shulan isn’t foolish; there’s no way she’d give away their business secrets.

“Thank goodness, that scared me.” Hearing her mother’s words, Qin Xue relaxed. Every industry has its own secret formulas; otherwise, how could some places have so many customers while others have so few? It’s all about the taste.

So, if you want to run a good business, the first thing is to protect your store’s treasure: the formula.

It seems that mother and father are cooperating well, making her think her mother was silly enough to give it away so easily.

“Qin Xue, are you sure there won’t be any problems with Auntie’s bean sprouts?” Nangong Shulan still had some concerns.

“Why would there be any problems? If they follow what we say, then I guarantee they’ll succeed at the first try. Perhaps they’ll do it slowly or not too well the first time, but as they do it more, they’ll get better. Practice makes perfect, don’t you think?” Qin Xue said, holding her mother’s arm.
