Special Forces Soldier: Me, the Number One Troublemaker of Wolf Fang

98: Chapter 98 Shocking the WorldYang Han passed the test, and Gao Shiwei then issued an invitation for a commissioning ceremony to the people from Wolf Fang, the Night Tiger Reconnaissance Company, and the Iron Fist Regiment.

This commissioning ceremony was very significant. Although the rank of Major didn’t amount to much in the entire Southeast Military Region, Yang Han was simply too young.

How old was he?

Not even twenty years old.

To receive the rank of Major at such an age—it was incredible.

The colonel of the Iron Fist Regiment, many company commanders, Company Commander Miao of the Night Tiger Reconnaissance Company, He Zhijun, Fan Tianlei, Old Gao from Wolf Fang, and all the members of Lone Wolf Group B were gathered here.

The faces of all the members of Lone Wolf Group B were very unsightly. They hadn’t wanted to come, but Gao Shiwei had mandated their presence.

Thus, they came reluctantly.

In this vast open space, a crowd of over five hundred people had gathered.

Rumble.

After the roar of two car engines resounded, everyone looked over and saw two middle-aged men appearing inside the vehicles.

Everyone stood up.

”Chief Gao Shiwei.”

”Chief Tan Long.”

Many people shouted. Not only had Gao Shiwei arrived, but Tan Long, who was at the same level as him, had also come.

Gao Shiwei and Tan Long walked onto the award platform with smiles.

”Everyone, please sit down.”

Gao Shiwei said with a smile, ”We don’t need to make today’s commissioning ceremony complicated. Yang Han, come up here.”

Hearing this, Yang Han, who was sitting in a corner, slowly stood up. His expression was steady and calm, drawing the gaze of many.

”It’s him.”

”Hiss, I heard he’s not even twenty yet, and he’s already become a Major?”

”In the history of Great Xia, there has never been anyone like him.”

”I really don’t know what level his future will reach.”

Many people in the audience were whispering. Many had only heard of Yang Han’s name but had never seen him in person. Seeing him now, he seemed ordinary—a quite handsome young man, but with a thin build, looking as if he didn’t have much combat power.

”This is Lieutenant General Tan.”

Gao Shiwei smilingly introduced him to Yang Han.

Yang Han nodded. ”Greetings, Chief.”

Tan Long gave a slight nod.

”At such a young age, you already have three First-Class Merits.”

”There have been others in Great Xia’s history, but those heroes without exception obtained them during times of war. Back then, while First-Class Merits were also precious, they weren’t that difficult to obtain.”

Gao Shiwei said, ”In times of peace, even a Second-Class Merit is extremely difficult, let alone a First-Class Merit.”

”Yet you have three First-Class Merits.”

”According to the instructions of the Supreme General Military Department, Great Xia is to undergo a reform to cope with the more difficult international situation, which is why your Dragon Blade was born.”

”I thought at the time that the members of Dragon Blade could no longer be those old veterans; we had to use completely new people, and the Captain of this Dragon Blade had to be very strong.”

”I chose you. Facts have proven that you did not let down my expectations.”

Gao Shiwei smiled and said, ”Alright, this is the reward you deserve.”

He opened the box, and inside was the rank of Major.

The breathing of many in the audience quickened, and envy flashed in almost everyone’s eyes.

Old Gao’s expression was extremely complicated. He was also a Major, but he had fought for nearly twenty years to reach this level. No matter how much he progressed in the future, he would likely only be a Lieutenant Colonel or a Colonel...”

How could he compare to someone like Yang Han?

In another ten years, Yang Han might even become a General...”

”It shouldn’t be possible... A General under thirty? That’s impossible,” Old Gao thought to himself.

In the audience were two of Yang Han’s acquaintances, Gong Jian and Old Hei, both of whom were filled with emotion.

Gong Jian said, ”Old Hei, this kid is truly a heaven-sent talent. How long has it been and he’s already a Major? This promotion Speed is simply unheard of, something that has never happened before.”

”Yeah, after I retire, I’ll be able to brag that the youngest Major in history once served under me,” Old Hei remarked.

All the members of Lone Wolf Group B were silent. Yang Han had become a Major by stepping over their corpses. Witnessing Yang Han’s supreme glory and radiance at this moment made them feel even worse.

Xiao Zhuang clenched his fists tightly... After so long, he was only a Captain. Moreover, reaching Major was basically impossible within five years.

Xiao Zhuang was much older than Yang Han, by at least ten years.

After putting on the rank insignia, Yang Han’s expression was solemn. ”Thank you, Chief.”

”No need for thanks.”

Gao Shiwei said in a deep voice, ”By wearing this badge... you must understand the mission you shoulder, do you understand?”

”I will dedicate everything to Great Xia,” Yang Han said word for word.

Gao Shiwei smiled with gratification.

Then he looked toward the audience. ”Yang Han’s commissioning is one thing, but why did I gather you all here?”

”Obviously, it’s not just for this.”

”In another month, it will be the Mars International Reconnaissance Soldier Competition.”

”In the past, Great Xia’s best result in Mars was only runner-up. The General Military Department is not very satisfied with this; our goal is first place.”

”However, to participate in Mars, more than ten people are needed. I hope you all train hard and strive to get a spot.”

Gao Shiwei said solemnly, ”Before qualifying for the Mars Reconnaissance Competition, you must first pass a one-week testing session at the Hunter School.”

”And there are only two weeks left before the Hunter School testing.”

”Everyone, prepare yourselves well.”

As he finished speaking, many people were shaken. Even the members of Lone Wolf Group B, who had been looking somber, were surprised.

”Captain, this is a good opportunity for our Lone Wolf Group B to wipe away our shame.”

”That’s right. Wolf Head and Golden Eagle are very dissatisfied with us after being wiped out by Dragon Blade this time. But if we take a top-three spot in the Mars competition, then we can offset that.”

The members of Lone Wolf Group B were whispering, and Geng Jihui’s eyes also lit up. He naturally had the same idea.

A glint flashed in Xiao Zhuang’s eyes. He decided to prepare well, pass the Hunter School testing, and then participate in the Mars International Reconnaissance Soldier Competition.

Gao Shiwei finished his speech, followed by Tan Long, who said some formal words. Finally, the crowd dispersed.

However, Yang Han, the Captain of Dragon Blade, was called alone to the office by Gao Shiwei and Tan Long.

Inside an office.

Yang Han asked curiously, ”Chief, is there something?”

”What are your thoughts on Mars and the Hunter School?” Gao Shiwei asked.

”To participate, of course, and then take first place.” Yang Han smiled slightly.

”Good, with those words from you, I’ll be waiting for you to bring back the championship!”

”For so many years, Great Xia has never won a championship in the Mars International Reconnaissance Soldier Competition... If you can win the championship, it will be a great merit for Great Xia, perhaps even a Special-Class Merit! Moreover, it will shock the entire world.”
