Special Forces Soldier: Me, the Number One Troublemaker of Wolf Fang

60: Chapter 60 Caution”However, since this is considered your trial...”

”Then... no one else is needed. You will go alone to personally carry out the arrest!”

This was the trial?

Yang Han was a bit dazed. Wasn’t this trial a bit too simple? Just catching one person?

Seeing Yang Han’s expression, Kang Lei said with a smile, ”Yang Han, are you looking down on this trial? Do you think it’s too simple and easy to complete?”

Yang Han nodded honestly and said with a chuckle, ”Regimental Commander, I’m really not bragging, but I’ve beaten up several Special Forces members already. What’s the big deal about catching one criminal?”

Kang Lei’s expression suddenly turned serious. ”It seems you still don’t realize the gravity of this matter.”

”This Zhang Peng is no ordinary criminal. Since he was able to escape during transport, it proves his strength is extremely high! You should know that there were four people escorting him, yet all four were severely injured. One soldier was even blinded. His methods are incredibly ruthless!”

”If he hadn’t been afraid of being caught while lingering, those four soldiers... would likely have been killed.”

Kang Lei’s expression was very solemn.

Hearing this, Yang Han grew interested. ”Oh? If that’s the case, then it’s actually a bit interesting. It sounds like a bit of a challenge.”

”This is no child’s play. You must be careful of this Zhang Peng.”

”Don’t worry, Regimental Commander, I definitely will,” Yang Han promised, patting his chest.

”Mm.” Kang Lei nodded. ”In that case, if there’s nothing else, you’re free to go! I suggest you head out immediately to capture Zhang Peng.”

”Zhang Peng doesn’t have a firearm, and he can’t get one, but he’s likely to have a knife. So, take a dagger with you.”

”Got it!” Yang Han nodded and then walked out of the room.

His pace was relaxed; this didn’t seem like a very difficult trial.

By passing this trial, he should be able to directly become a member of the Special Forces, right?

And the captain of the newly formed Special Forces unit at that!

Yang Han returned to the dormitory, chatted with He Chenguang and the others for a while, and then said he had some business to attend to outside.

After He Chenguang and the others expressed their understanding, Yang Han headed out. This time, he only brought a dagger!

The place where Zhang Peng was staying wasn’t too far from their camp, about sixty kilometers away, near a sea and a small patch of jungle.

At this moment.

Inside a small room in the jungle.

A middle-aged man about 1.7 meters tall was huddled in a corner, his eyes scanning the surroundings with vigilance.

He looked somewhat emaciated, and it was unclear how many days it had been since he last ate. He kept a dagger in his hand, his guard extremely high.

Ring ring ring...

Suddenly, the phone rang, and the man picked it up as if it were a precious treasure!

”It’s me! It’s me! I’m Zhang Peng!”

This middle-aged man was indeed Zhang Peng.

”Zhang Peng, we’ll reach your location soon. Are you sure there are no Great Xia soldiers or police nearby?”

The voice on the phone was very cold.

”I’m sure there aren’t. When I escaped, I cleaned up all the trail marks very thoroughly!” Zhang Peng said hurriedly.

”Good... Remember, after we rescue you, I hope you don’t play any tricks regarding the intelligence.”

”Don’t worry! Me, play tricks? How would I dare play tricks in front of the famous Scorpion?!”

”I can’t afford to offend you AO Mercenaries! I’m about to join up with you guys!” Zhang Peng said repeatedly.

”Fine, that’s all then.”

On the surface of the sea, two speedboats were rapidly cutting through the waves.

The leader’s eyes were as sinister as a venomous scorpion. He had dark skin and small eyes, but he was more terrifying than a poisonous snake. He was Scorpion, a figure with no small reputation in the mercenary world.

On the two speedboats, there were both black and white men, seven in total. All were holding AKs, and every one of them had scars on their bodies—clearly battle-hardened mercenaries.

”Hey, Scorpion!”

A white man walked up and said, ”Have you confirmed it? That guy Zhang Peng doesn’t have any Great Xia soldiers around him?”

”No.”

Scorpion said indifferently, ”According to him, there aren’t. But in reality, we must also be prepared.”

”Damn it, if we really run into Great Xia soldiers, it might be a tough fight.” A trace of apprehension appeared in the white man’s eyes, as if he had suffered at their hands before.

Scorpion glanced at him and said, ”What is there to fear from Great Xia soldiers? The number of Great Xia Special Forces lives in my hands... is no less than twenty.”

”Tsk, you’re still the best, Scorpion. But Great Xia is known as the graveyard for mercenaries after all; we’d better be safe.”

”Jammu, don’t be so afraid. Relax.”

Scorpion gave a thin smile. In his sight, a landmass appeared ahead.

The border of Great Xia had arrived.

Scorpion’s gaze suddenly became profound. Three months had passed since the last time he approached this land.

Following the map, Yang Han made his way to this patch of jungle by the sea.

According to the intelligence, Zhang Peng was hiding in this jungle. There were many abandoned houses in the jungle, which seemed to have been inhabited by fishermen in the past.

If it were anyone else, it would probably take a lot of time to search.

But for Yang Han, he only needed to turn on his Infrared Scanning!

”Activate Infrared Scanning!”

Yang Han moved forward step by step, his expression vigilant.

Although he told Kang Lei he wasn’t afraid of Zhang Peng, he had to give the man the respect he was due. Careful navigation keeps the ship afloat for ten thousand years!

After fully entering the jungle, it was pitch black and very gloomy; the foliage overhead was too dense.

”It’s a good hiding place. This Zhang Peng really knows how to pick them.”

Yang Han muttered.

After walking for another few minutes, Yang Han’s body jolted, and a faint smile appeared on his lips because he discovered a person inside a small hut.

Without even thinking, this person was definitely the Zhang Peng he was looking for.

Otherwise, what normal person would go deep into this almost abandoned jungle?

”The trial seems quite simple.”

Yang Han headed forward.

Southeast Military Region.

Inside Gao Shiwei’s office.

A soldier with a hurried pace and a serious face knocked on the door of Gao Shiwei’s office.

”Come in.”

As soon as the soldier entered, he said directly, ”Chief! According to our special intelligence channels, Scorpion, one of the three major mercenaries of the AO Group, has landed on one of our coasts!”

”Oh? Scorpion?”

Gao Shiwei’s expression immediately turned cold upon hearing this.

Scorpion was someone who gave even Gao Shiwei a bit of a headache. He had been coming to Great Xia’s soil to commit crimes since twenty years ago!

Over the years, he could be said to have stirred up trouble, coming to Great Xia from time to time to cause incidents. It wasn’t that Gao Shiwei hadn’t sent people to capture him.

The result was simple: most of them had died...

Scorpion was a top-tier Special Forces operative!

”Where did Scorpion land?” Gao Shiwei asked.

The soldier immediately took out a file showing the approximate location where Scorpion had landed.

Seeing this information, Gao Shiwei’s pupils instantly constricted.
