Special Forces Soldier: Me, the Number One Troublemaker of Wolf Fang

59: Chapter 59 Gao Shiwei’s TestThis day.

The sky was clear and vast, without wind or clouds.

All the soldiers of the Iron Fist Regiment had gathered on an open parade ground, and high-ranking figures like Kang Lei and the commanders of the various companies were all present.

Today was a very important day—it was the day for awarding medals!

Kang Lei stood on the platform, his expression a mix of deep emotion and excitement.

Even though several days had passed, Kang Lei was still incredibly happy because this was the first time the Iron Fist Regiment had defeated Wolf Fang.

However... as the regiment commander, his role in the confrontation exercise had been almost zero, which was a bit embarrassing.

”Today is a joyous day for our Iron Fist Regiment. We actually defeated Wolf Fang in the exercise.”

”Everyone knows very well what Wolf Fang is—a Special Forces brigade! Those who can enter Wolf Fang are the elite of the elite. Whether in terms of individual ability, team capability, or actual combat performance, they are stronger than our Iron Fist Regiment.”

”Yet, we won.”

”The reason for this victory, of course, cannot be separated from the unity of our Iron Fist Regiment!”

Kang Lei said loudly.

Clatter, a burst of applause erupted.

Kang Lei paused, then began to speak again: ”Aside from the unity of our Iron Fist Regiment, we must also specifically thank one person.”

”This person is the key man who helped the Iron Fist Regiment defeat Wolf Fang; he is the lucky star of our Iron Fist Regiment.”

As soon as these words were spoken, eyes swished and focused on one person: Yang Han. Aside from talking about him, who else could it be? It couldn’t be Kang Lei himself.

”Yang Han.”

Kang Lei looked at Yang Han with a smile: ”Come up here.”

”Yes.”

Yang Han nodded and went up to the stage.

Gong Jian walked up slowly at this moment, carrying a box in his hands.

Kang Lei said: ”Yang Han’s performance is known to all of us. When the Sharpshooter Fourth Company encountered the drone carpet bombing, he stood up, neutralized the two people controlling the drones, and saved the Sharpshooter Fourth Company.”

”When Fan Tianlei wanted to lead men to destroy our Iron Fist Regiment’s tank company, he stood up and eliminated all of Fan Tianlei’s team.”

”When He Zhijun! The Wolf Head of Wolf Fang! led almost everyone to launch a surprise attack on the Iron Fist Regiment, he stood up again and fired the first shot, alerting everyone in the Iron Fist Regiment.”

”Subsequently, he even killed the Wolf Head, He Zhijun!”

”Adding all these merits together, I even feel that a First-Class Merit is not enough; at the very least, it should be a Special Merit.”

Kang Lei recounted the merits Yang Han had established, causing a commotion among the members of the Iron Fist Regiment below the stage.

He was actually this formidable; too powerful.

He Chenguang, Wang Yanbing, Li Erniu, Su Guodong, and others... whether new recruits or veterans, their faces were filled with envy and admiration.

What was this? He was the Soldier King among Soldier Kings!

He had turned the tide of battle, broken the myth of Wolf Fang’s invincibility against the Iron Fist Regiment, and restored the confidence of the Iron Fist Regiment’s veterans.

”First-Class Merit, Yang Han, you are well-deserved.”

Kang Lei said with a smile, then opened the box, which contained the First-Class Merit medal. Kang Lei then personally took out the medal and pinned it onto Yang Han’s neck.

At that moment, the First-Class Merit medal was incredibly dazzling, gathering the envious gazes of countless Iron Fist Regiment soldiers.

”Let us applaud for Yang Han.” Kang Lei said loudly.

Clatter...

The Iron Fist Regiment was in a state of great splendor.

But looking at Wolf Fang, it was a completely different scene.

He Zhijun and Fan Tianlei, the two high-ranking figures of Wolf Fang, were actually wearing training gear at this moment. What were they doing?

They were conducting a forced march in the mountains!

Behind He Zhijun, Fan Tianlei, and the others, there were several hundred more people...

All the Wolf Fang soldiers participating in this exercise had received an order.

Conduct hellish training for one month.

Even He Zhijun, the Wolf Head, and Fan Tianlei, the staff officer, had to personally take the lead and set an example.

”Wolf Head, how many kilometers are we running?”

Fan Tianlei felt spots dancing before his eyes and couldn’t help but ask He Zhijun.

He Zhijun’s expression was equally bad, but his eyes held an incomparably firm look: ”We’ve only done a twenty-kilometer weighted cross-country run, and you already can’t take it?”

”Run another twenty kilometers, and today will be over.”

”What?!”

Hearing this, Fan Tianlei was shocked, his face turning into a bitter mask...

How could this be?

”Wolf Head, we...” Fan Tianlei started to speak but stopped.

He Zhijun said decisively: ”Less nonsense. You think today’s training is just a twenty-kilometer weighted cross-country run? One thousand pull-ups, one thousand push-ups, and one thousand sit-ups haven’t even been done yet!”

”Damn it...”

Fan Tianlei felt like he had misheard.

What kind of hellish training was this.

Fan Tianlei was now over forty years old, and after becoming a staff officer, he naturally hadn’t trained very hard.

It was fine for active Special Forces soldiers like Old Gao, but for him, a staff officer, to undergo such cruel training...

Was it a bit hard to accept?

”If you don’t want to participate, you can just quit Wolf Fang.”

He Zhijun was expressionless as he ran forward himself.

Fan Tianlei stood frozen in place while countless Wolf Fang soldiers continued to run forward. He gritted his teeth, and while running, cursed: ”Damn Yang Han, damn it!”

”There will be opportunities to clash again in the future. You just wait for me.”

...

Southeast Military Region.

Gao Shiwei was currently reviewing a document in his office, his eyes deep in thought.

”I agreed at the time to give Yang Han a test. But his current strength is so powerful that any training-related test—be it Physical Fitness or hand-to-hand combat—I fear he would breeze through easily.”

”I think I should arrange a test for him that is practical but has a low danger coefficient.”

”This will be it.”

Gao Shiwei’s gaze fell on a piece of paper on the desk.

On the paper was the profile of a person.

”Send this document to Kang Lei of the Iron Fist Regiment.”

Gao Shiwei called for his secretary.

After Yang Han received the First-Class Merit medal, he immediately became the most popular person in the entire Iron Fist Regiment. Countless people came to see him, wanting to personally touch the First-Class Merit medal.

This left Yang Han feeling a bit helpless, but at this moment, Gong Jian also arrived.

”Yang Han, you’ve become a big star in the Iron Fist Regiment now.” Gong Jian said with a smile.

”Company Commander, please don’t make fun of me.” The corner of Yang Han’s mouth twitched.

Gong Jian said: ”Alright, no more jokes. I’m looking for you because there is something to do. The regiment commander wants you to go to his office. Go quickly.”

”The regiment commander?”

Yang Han was startled, then nodded.

Twenty minutes later.

Inside Kang Lei’s office.

Knock, knock. A knock on the door sounded. Kang Lei: ”Come in.”

Yang Han pushed the door open and entered, saying respectfully: ”Regiment Commander!”

”Mm, you’re here.”

Kang Lei said with a smile: ”Sit down, there is something I want to tell you.”

When Yang Han sat down, a document was pushed in front of him.

The first line on the profile was a person’s name.

Zhang Peng.

”Regiment Commander, who is this Zhang Peng?” Yang Han was startled.

The document showed Zhang Peng’s name, address, and his current approximate location.

Kang Lei said: ”Have you forgotten the test that Commander Gao Shiwei mentioned?”

”This is the test!”

”This Zhang Peng committed a military-related crime and was arrested, but on the way to be escorted, he injured the person escorting him and ran away!”

”But fortunately, his current location has already been found. It just requires two people to go and capture him.”
