Special Forces Soldier: Me, the Number One Troublemaker of Wolf Fang

56: Chapter 56 He Zhijun’s Scheme”What? He went to the Iron Fist Regiment’s command post?”

Upon hearing this, He Zhijun froze for a moment.

”At a time like this, what is he doing going to the Iron Fist Regiment’s command post!”

With a grim look in his eyes, He Zhijun immediately took out his walkie-talkie to contact Lei Keming.

Beep— beep—

Far away at the Iron Fist Regiment, the already eliminated Lei Keming looked numb. Seeing the walkie-talkie signal, he didn’t even dare to answer.

It was obviously He Zhijun calling.

And if He Zhijun found out he had been eliminated... what kind of fury would he be in?

Meanwhile, inside the Blue Army command post.

After receiving no response from Lei Keming for a long time, He Zhijun’s expression gradually turned icy.

By now, how could he not be clear about what had happened?

Clearly, Lei Keming... was already done for.

Smack.

As the Brigadier General of the Wolf Fang Special Operations Brigade, holding the rank of Senior Colonel, He Zhijun was a man of high status and usually composed, yet now he slammed his fist heavily onto the table.

”What a bastard. How could that old man be so unreliable? Now that I can’t reach him, he’s likely been eliminated.”

”At such a critical juncture, the elites of Wolf Fang have been completely wiped out!”

He Zhijun was furious.

The authority to deploy the Black Eagle Squad, Wild Wolf Squad, Lone Wolf Group A, as well as the research and combat team of Tang Xinyi and Gu Xiaojie, had all been given to Fan Tianlei.

This was because He Zhijun trusted him. But this time, that trust seemed to have been thrown to the dogs.

”What should be done now?”

He Zhijun felt as if his thoughts were a tangled mess.

Suddenly, a person flashed through his mind. Kang Lei!

”Let’s go, let’s go see that old guy Kang Lei.”

He Zhijun snorted coldly and went alone to the dark room where Kang Lei was being held.

In the cold and damp dark room, Kang Lei sat with several other staff officers. They felt somewhat anxious, not knowing the state of the battle between the Red and Blue sides.

”Old Kang, long time no see.” He Zhijun squatted down.

”Yo, isn’t this Senior Colonel He? What brings you to my place?” Kang Lei laughed.

”The transformation of the Iron Fist Regiment today has truly surprised me,” He Zhijun said.

Although he badmouthed Lei Keming for being useless, they had been partners for so long; how could he not know Fan Tianlei’s capabilities?

He at least had some skills, otherwise he wouldn’t have stayed in that position for so long. Yet, Lei Keming and his group of elites were completely wiped out.

And it was done by an ordinary field army like the Iron Fist Regiment!

He Zhijun was very curious about just how much the Iron Fist Regiment had changed.

Therefore, he came over to casually probe Kang Lei for information. It would be best if he could learn some important details.

”What happened that would make Senior Colonel He say something like that?” Kang Lei was also curious.

He Zhijun’s face darkened instantly, and he whispered, ”That old bastard Lei Keming has been fucking eliminated.”

”What!” Hearing this, Kang Lei was also shocked! Fan Tianlei, a staff officer of Wolf Fang, could be considered a veteran of many battles who had trained many Special Forces soldiers, yet he had now been eliminated.

”I am very curious to know what kind of reforms your Iron Fist Regiment has undergone.” He Zhijun stared at Kang Lei.

Kang Lei thought for a moment, and a figure immediately appeared in his mind! If one were to talk about training or tactical innovations in the Iron Fist Regiment, there were none; the Iron Fist Regiment had always been this way.

But if one were to speak of the changes in the Iron Fist Regiment, it was that they had recruited an exceptionally strong new recruit this year. Yang Han!

Kang Lei smiled and said, ”I say that the Iron Fist Regiment being able to fight Wolf Fang to this point has to do with a certain new recruit. I wonder if you believe me, Senior Colonel He.”

Kang Lei had not witnessed the role Yang Han played; he said this simply to talk nonsense and confuse He Zhijun.

As expected, He Zhijun sneered, ”It seems I won’t get any useful information from you.”

He Zhijun certainly wouldn’t believe such nonsense. A new recruit? Turning the entire tide of battle? He wouldn’t believe it even if it killed him.

He Zhijun slapped his knees twice and stood up. ”However, don’t celebrate too early. Until the very last moment of the war, no one knows who the winner will be!”

Hearing this, Kang Lei’s eyes shifted, and he muttered, ”Yes, before the war started, many people thought the winner would definitely be Wolf Fang, but now, Wolf Fang is no longer guaranteed to win.”

Iron Fist Regiment. Command Post.

The six company commanders suddenly received a letter from the Blue Army. Attached to it was a photo.

The photo showed Kang Lei and several other staff officers being held together.

Gong Jian frowned deeply. ”The Regimental Commander and the others are still alive?!”

”They were actually captured alive.”

”Damn it, Wolf Fang wants to use the Regimental Commander to threaten us and make us slow down our offensive.”

”What should we do?”

The content of the letter was simple: if the Iron Fist Regiment continued to attack, then Kang Lei and the other staff officers would be ”executed.”

Although this was an exercise, it was equivalent to a real war. Gong Jian and the others couldn’t help but think: in a real war, if they encountered this situation where the leaders were all captured and used as hostages, could they really just ignore it?

Of course, they couldn’t surrender because of this, but if they completely ignored it... it would have a significant impact on the morale of the entire army.

”What should we do?” the Sixth Company Commander asked.

Gong Jian sighed.

”They need to reorganize and want a chance to catch their breath, which is why they sent this letter,” Gong Jian said.

”Our approach should be to feign agreement and give them time to reorganize! Then, when they lower their guard, we launch a full-scale attack and destroy Wolf Fang!”

Gong Jian said this. The others nodded one after another.

”Not bad, I think this strategy works.”

”Let’s do as Gong Jian says.”

”It’s just... sigh, isn’t that bad for the Regimental Commander and the others?” a company commander said anxiously.

Gong Jian overcame the opposition and said, ”This is a critical moment. The Regimental Commander and those staff officers are on the same level as our ordinary soldiers. In a real war, would we stop fighting just because the enemy captured a few of our soldiers? Missing the opportunity is the most crucial thing!”

The others listened and nodded silently.

At this time. Wolf Fang’s command post.

He Zhijun was directing everyone in constant movement.

He Zhijun watched the figures moving about and a smile appeared on his lips: ”The people at the Iron Fist Regiment’s command post will very likely feign agreement while actually launching a surprise attack on our army.”

”That letter was merely to confuse them. We, Wolf Fang, have only one real goal. Assemble the entire army and launch a counterattack against the Iron Fist Regiment!”

He Zhijun’s intentions were fully exposed, and the subordinates around him all revealed expressions of immense reverence.

As expected of the Wolf Head, his strategy is truly world-calculating; he is too strong.

”Iron Fist Regiment... what are we, Wolf Fang, and what are you? If we lose to you, what will the higher-ups think?”

”Therefore, in this battle, you are bound to fail!” A glint of madness flashed in He Zhijun’s eyes.

Meanwhile, at the Iron Fist Regiment’s rest area.

Yang Han, He Chenguang, Wang Yanbing, and Su Guodong were gathered together playing poker, as it was too boring.

Yang Han was grimacing, feeling very unhappy. Because he kept losing at cards, while Wang Yanbing and Su Guodong kept winning, and the two of them were enjoying it immensely.
