Chapter 321: Chapter 321: Jing Yuan VS Jingliu

When watching up to this point, a line of blue subtitles appeared on the screen. It was Jingliu’s inner monologue:

— [Sigh, although Jing Yuan challenged me, this also shows that his sword skills have indeed improved quite a bit. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have rashly made such a request.]

— [My disciple has made great progress. As his master, I am naturally extremely gratified. Hahaha, truly worthy of me.]

Stelle nodded slightly. It was clear that at this time, Jingliu was still innocent and clear-hearted, unlike the crazy old hag outside who was going mad.

However, at this moment, the blue subtitles on the screen suddenly disappeared and were replaced by lines of red subtitles:

— [Hmph, Jing Yuan, you’ve really grown some skills. You actually dare to challenge me. Has the lesson I taught you as your master not been enough?]

— [Tsk, you even dare to use threats to force your master to comply? Hehehehehe... Fine, fine, Jing Yuan! I really need to properly discipline you.]

Stelle: ······

She felt that compared to the first personality who was innocent and carefree, this second personality sounded more like an old monster who had lived for thousands of years.

”Take this, Jingliu!”

Jing Yuan raised his sword. In the next second, countless flying swords flew over from afar, circling around him and emitting a cold chill.

”Swords like Swallows in Flight!”

More than a dozen flying swords all aimed at Jingliu at once and charged forward in a swarm!

Jing Yuan had trained under Jingliu for many years, so he naturally understood her methods. He knew that Jingliu herself was like an unparalleled divine sword—she always attacked without defending and lacked survivability. Using this kind of attrition-based attack was the easiest way to achieve results.

”Jing Yuan! When did I ever teach you this move?”

Seeing this unfamiliar technique, Jingliu’s eyes widened slightly. For a moment, she felt a bit angry: ”Who did you secretly learn this from? I am your master!”

Jing Yuan laughed heartily: ”Master, all’s fair in war! You know me. How could I possibly challenge you without any preparation?”

Facing Jing Yuan’s attack, Jingliu narrowed her beautiful eyes. At this moment, she was no longer the sunny and innocent girl from before but a sharp sword drawn from its sheath! When it came to battle, she had never been sloppy.

”Fine. Since you’re using someone else’s moves... then I will too!”

”Ice and snow forge this resolve... never to end!”

Jingliu slammed her fist heavily into the ground. In an instant, an ice wall as tall as a small mountain rose from the earth, blocking the flying swords like a diamond bulwark!

Clang clang clang—!

The flying swords crashed into the ice wall. They only penetrated halfway into the blades before stopping.

”Master, I’ve been preparing for this battle for a long time!”

Jing Yuan’s eyes were resolute: ”I want to let you know that I am not someone to be trifled with!”

”Don’t forget that I am the top of this generation’s Cloud Knights of the Luofu! I got full marks on my entrance written exam!”

”My physical test scores were also full marks. Except for slightly lower Effect RES, I am the first Cloud Knight in Luofu history to achieve full marks in both civil and military categories!”

”Don’t underestimate me!”

Jing Yuan reached out and beckoned: ”Ten Thousand Swords Descend from the Heavens!”

Whoosh whoosh whoosh—

The sky full of flying swords gathered in his hand, transforming into a key-shaped staff.

”Someone once said that my style doesn’t resemble a [Hunt] warrior but rather a [Erudition] tactician. My battlefield output is just like a roadside nobody!”

”But today I will prove that even if my fighting style is like that of an [Erudition] practitioner, I am still the strongest [Erudition] practitioner!”

”There are thousands upon thousands of puzzles, but the answer is... a nonexistent thing!”

Swoosh—

The key-shaped staff in Jing Yuan’s hand shot out like a missile. Every flying sword composing the staff flickered with dangerous cold light. In the blink of an eye, it slammed violently into the ice wall in front of Jingliu!

Boom!

The ice wall collapsed with a crash. This time, Jingliu did not choose to defend. Instead, she gripped the sword in her hands with both hands and chanted silently: ”Illuminate the earth with the light of the stars...”

”Haah—!”

Sword light shot into the sky. Its sharpness instantly annihilated the flying sword key, and with undiminished momentum, it smashed straight down toward Jing Yuan’s head!

The situation reversed once again—!

Seeing this, Jing Yuan calmly flicked his hair: ”Be enchanted by it!”

With that, he raised his hand and flung out a glowing orb that collided with the soaring sword light!

Rumble—

In an instant, a heaven-shaking explosion rang out in the courtyard. The rampant energy waves engulfed both sides completely, kicking up clouds of dust and smoke.

”Cough cough cough—”

Jing Yuan coughed violently within the smoke, kneeling on one knee. He had prepared for this battle for a very long time, learning all the popular moves online in advance. However, he never expected Jingliu to have hidden several tricks as well. It was truly beyond his expectations.

With Jingliu’s daytime intelligence, how could she possibly know how to hide her strength? Wait, could it be...?

Whoosh—

A graceful figure slowly walked out from the smoke ahead. At this moment, Jingliu’s face was expressionless, her eyes full of murderous intent—exactly the same as her second personality every night.

”Jing Yuan... you actually secretly learned skills from others. You really don’t put your master in your eyes at all...”

Jingliu’s voice was soft yet contained a trace of danger. ”What do you call this kind of behavior? You have someone else outside (Master), right?”

Jing Yuan was horrified: ”Don’t talk nonsense! You’re slandering my innocence out of thin air! And isn’t it daytime right now? Why did your second personality come out?”

”It’s very smoky now. Without the sun, it counts as nighttime!”

Jing Yuan’s heart sank. He quickly reached out to beg for mercy: ”Wait! Master, no! We agreed it would be just until the point, right?”

”Let this wheel of moonlight...”

”Illuminate the myriad rivers!”

Jing Yuan: ”Aaaah—! X__X”

Whoosh—

The smoke dispersed. A ray of sunlight shone on Jingliu once again. She was startled for a moment, and her eyes regained clarity.

She looked somewhat blankly at the sword in her hand, then at Jing Yuan who had collapsed to the ground. Only then did she understand what had happened. She immediately shouted in annoyance:

”My goodness!”

·····

Jingliu never remembered what exactly happened after she got worked up. She only knew that on that night, Jing Yuan—wrapped all over in bandages—solemnly promised her that from then on, he would only have Jingliu as his master, and their relationship would never be severed for all eternity.

Having received such a promise, Jingliu was extremely happy. She completely failed to notice Jing Yuan’s deathly pale expression.

In short, she was very happy that day.

The memory playback ended here.

Stelle: ······

So this is what happy memories look like? What exactly happened between these people in the past...

Originally, Stelle felt that in this world, Jingliu was the one who felt the least OOC to her. Because of the Mara-Struck State, both were pure madwomen.

But now it seemed she had figured it out—Jingliu’s Mara-Struck State only targeted Jing Yuan and the other two, and she was still relatively friendly to others.

Just like earlier, when Jingliu was chasing Jing Yuan to hack at him, she could still communicate normally and friendly with her.

The DVD playing the memory made a faint sound, and a disc carrying the happy memory was ejected.
