Chapter 302: Chapter 302: Argenti vs. Skott

After that, what March 7th did to Sunday was unknown to Stelle. She only knew that in the end, Robin personally came to pick him up. Hehe, what a deep bond between brother and sister.

”Ah, I’m exhausted!”

In the latter half of the night, after finally dealing with all the remaining ”amnesiacs,” Stelle immediately collapsed against March 7th and said weakly, ”March, carry me back. I want to take a bath and sleep.”

March 7th smiled and poked her cheek. ”Sure, then I’ll take you right now...”

”······”

The next day.

”Haah—”

Stelle lazily yawned and woke up groggily from her dream. The first thing that came into view was March 7th’s face, extremely close.

Wait, didn’t she remember that yesterday’s plot ended with Sunday being taken away?

Stelle subconsciously touched her own body, and her heart instantly went cold. It was gone—everything was gone...

”You’re awake?”

At that moment, March 7th also opened her eyes. Since the two of them were lying in the same quilt, from this angle she could clearly see the fair, smooth curves under the blanket.

Stelle’s face instantly flushed red. ”Wait, what happened between us last night? Why don’t I remember anything?”

”Hmm...” March 7th tilted her head and thought for a moment. ”Nothing happened. Stelle, weren’t you too tired yesterday? That’s why you can’t remember anything, right?”

”Is that so?” Stelle pondered. ”Now that you mention it, searching for amnesiacs until the middle of the night really was quite tiring...”

”Alright, alright, stop overthinking. Yesterday you secretly went out to play with someone else, but today you have to remember to watch the match with me, okay?” March 7th blinked and smiled gently.

”Okay... Um, I’ll go wash up first.”

Stelle casually grabbed a piece of clothing, put it on, and hurriedly got out of bed. Perhaps because she had just woken up, her legs went soft, and she immediately fell to the floor, sliding all the way to the bathroom door.

”I’m fine! Don’t mind me!” Stelle quickly got up from the ground and went into the bathroom to change clothes and wash up.

Martial Arts Ceremony Observation Platform.

This place was even more magnificent than the modeling in the game—an enormous platform that stretched as far as the eye could see, with a super-large arena below. It gave off the feeling of a sect tournament from a xianxia novel.

When Stelle and March 7th arrived, the competition had just entered the main phase. The railings around the platform were packed with people, and the fiery crowd gave a faint sense of suffocation.

Owlbert stood on the commentary stage and began to stir up the emotions of the entire venue with professional and skilled lines: ”Ladies and gentlemen, the second round of the Martial Arts Ceremony is about to begin. The first match will feature Mr. Skott from the Interastral Peace Corporation, facing off against the legendary Galaxy Ranger, Mr. Argenti!”

”Let us give them a warm welcome!”

·····

”Why am I hearing this name again?” Stelle scratched her head.

She felt an inexplicably fated connection with this guy Skott? No... wait, who did they just say Skott was fighting? A Galaxy Ranger? Argenti?

Truly... uh, an unsurprising development. Stelle had already gotten used to it.

On the competition stage, Skott stood with his arms crossed over his chest, a black-and-gold long staff placed at his side. He made his usual high-profile entrance. When he heard that his opponent was a Galaxy Ranger, his heartbeat involuntarily quickened a few beats.

For today’s match, he had bet an entire month’s salary on his own victory. To that end, he had used every method he could think of, both inside and outside the arena.

Stimulants, specially made weapons, outside assistance... To avoid a repeat of yesterday’s situation, he had really gone all out!

As long as he didn’t run into an opponent with absurd stats like Clara, he had complete confidence in himself.

”Galaxy Ranger Argenti? Never heard of him. Probably not that strong—just a small fry...” Skott thought to himself.

Tap, tap, tap...

At that moment, footsteps came from ahead of him. They belonged to his opponent—a red-haired man wearing a tank top, shorts, slippers, and old-fashioned glasses.

This outfit could only be described as extremely sloppy. If not for the man’s genuinely handsome face, Skott would have suspected he had escaped from some mental hospital.

But this kind of getup could still be called a Galaxy Ranger? Skott laughed.

—”Alright everyone, both contestants have now arrived. I hereby declare that the first round of today’s Martial Arts Ceremony has officially begun!” At Owlbert’s command, the entire venue erupted.

”Hey! You’re a Galaxy Ranger? You didn’t make that title up yourself, did you?”

Skott grabbed his staff and walked up to Argenti, mocking him: ”That’s about enough. Just surrender quickly. Otherwise, if I beat you up later, I won’t pay for your medical bills.”

Argenti took off his old-fashioned glasses, narrowed his eyes as he sized Skott up, and sighed: ”Sigh, the youth these days...”

He pointed at his own head as if stating something utterly trivial: ”Come, hit me right here.”

”Oh? You dare provoke me?”

Skott laughed in extreme anger. He raised his staff and smashed it straight toward Argenti’s head: ”Take my big iron rod, you...”

Duang!

The iron staff landed on Argenti’s head, but the latter remained completely unmoved.

”What?”

Skott’s heart jumped in alarm and he subconsciously retreated two steps. Holding back? That concept didn’t exist for him. He had just swung with full force without reservation, yet this Argenti wasn’t affected at all?

No way?

Moreover, this staff of his was coated with potent poison that could be absorbed through skin contact. Why was Argenti showing no reaction whatsoever?

Did he underestimate the opponent too much just now?

Thinking of this, Skott immediately put on his battle face. He gripped the staff with both hands, leaped into the air, and then brought it down heavily!

Duang!!

This strike used every ounce of Skott’s strength, but the iron staff landing on Argenti’s head didn’t even make the latter blink.

”What?!”

After this strike, Skott was completely shocked. He had taken drugs before the match! Even a piece of granite should have split in half from that blow—how could this guy be completely unharmed?

And why hadn’t the poison on the staff taken effect?

On the other side, Argenti merely sighed: ”Sigh, didn’t you eat? You can’t even make someone feel pain when hitting them, yet you dare participate in the Martial Arts Ceremony.”

With that, he lifted his foot and walked toward Skott: ”Enough, don’t waste my time. I still need to find a true peerless expert to spar with. You should step down first.”

What a terrifying opponent!

Skott swallowed a mouthful of saliva, but he had no intention of giving up just yet, because he still had his final trump card.

Crack—crack—

A faint mechanical whirring sound came from the staff. The bottom of the staff quietly split open, revealing a dark gun barrel.

This was the ”Lone Wolf Staff Technique” that Skott had comprehended after years of studying staff arts!

This strike could surpass human limits and reach the world’s fastest staff speed. Absolutely no one could react to it.

Since he couldn’t win in a direct confrontation, he would use a sneaky move!

Thinking of this, Skott did not hesitate at all. He secretly activated the switch on the inner side of the staff—

Bang!

A bullet shot out from the staff, aimed straight at Argenti!

”Hmph, a gun?”

Faced with such a despicable move, Argenti only shook his head with pity in his eyes and said: ”In this world, no martial art is unbreakable...”

”Only speed is unbreakable.”
