Chapter 249: Chapter 249: Firefly’s Third Death

Just as Sunday and Blade were in the midst of their fierce battle, downstairs at The Reverie hotel.

”Huh? Did something happen to Firefly? Why hasn’t she arrived yet?”

Stelle scratched her head somewhat worriedly: Could this misunderstanding have hit Firefly that hard? To the point where she just gave up completely?

She had been waiting at the agreed spot for quite a while and still hadn’t seen Firefly.

March 7th shrugged: ”No idea. When she was competing with me before, that girl was pretty persistent. If she just gives up like this, I look down on her.”

In reality, just ten seconds before the two arrived here, Firefly had snatched Robin from right in front of Sunday.

Suddenly.

Whoosh— Smack!

A spider web suddenly fell from the sky, coincidentally covering Stelle.

”Huh? What is this? Who threw garbage around?”

Stelle pulled the spider web off her head and said somewhat depressedly.

Whoosh— Smack!

Suddenly again, a submachine gun fell from the sky, smashing to pieces beside the two.

Stelle: ?

She carefully looked up and saw two huge black shadows falling from the sky, about to smash right onto her—

”Watch out!”

March 7th quickly scooped Stelle into her arms horizontally and dodged to a safe spot.

Boom—

Two massive human-shaped craters were smashed into the ground. One black and one white figure were deeply embedded in them, their calves twitching occasionally, looking a bit like they were done for.

Stelle: ? What’s going on? Two people fell from the sky?

Sunday trembled as he crawled out of the crater, still murmuring: ”Give... give back my, my Miss Stelle...”

The other crater, Blade: ”Hahahahahaha...”

On the roadside, Stelle and March 7th exchanged glances, both seeing a trace of confusion in each other’s eyes.

What are they talking about?

No, why are Sunday and Blade fighting? Did these two know each other before? They have nothing to do with each other?!

”Heave-ho—”

At that moment, Kafka slowly descended from the rooftop holding the spider thread, landing lightly beside the two and greeting habitually: ”Sorry, didn’t scare you, did I... Ah?!”

Kafka looked at Stelle in shock: ”Stelle? Weren’t you kidnapped by Firefly? How are you still here?”

Stelle & March 7th: ?

”Me? Kidnapped by Firefly? When did that happen?” Stelle asked, completely baffled.

Kafka looked in the direction Firefly flew off, then at Stelle in front of her, then back at the direction Firefly flew, then at Stelle again...

Kafka’s little brain glitched a bit. She poked Blade: ”Ah Blade, Ah Blade, this situation is a bit off? Could Firefly be that fast? Already done? Why is Stelle here?”

Crack—

Blade moved a bit, lifting his head from the crater: ”Hahahahahaha...”

Kafka was startled and immediately choked Blade’s neck: ”Ah Blade, listen to me, calm down first—”

A few seconds later, Blade flexed his neck, climbed out of the crater like nothing happened, and asked puzzled: ”What? What happened?”

Kafka was so anxious she could barely speak, only pointing at Stelle stuttering: ”She! Stelle! She!”

Blade: (thinking)

Blade: !

Blade looked Stelle up and down: ”Are you the real one or a substitute? If substitute, you’re way too similar to the real one. If you’re real, why are you here? Weren’t you just taken away by Firefly for XX? Did Firefly let you go? Unlikely... Oh, I get it, the one Firefly took is fake!”

At that point, Sunday also climbed out of the crater, nodding deeply in agreement: ”No wonder I had a feeling it was Robin earlier. I knew it was fake.”

Kafka muttered softly: ”Then why did you fight so desperately...”

March 7th stepped forward, blocking in front of Stelle, her beautiful eyes narrowing slightly: ”Blade? You Stellaron Hunters came knocking uninvited—what’s your purpose?”

”Don’t forget, I still haven’t settled the score with you for injuring Stelle last time.”

Blade stroked his chin: ”Don’t be angry, March 7th. I don’t mind at all if you stab me twice to vent, but there’s a problem now. Our companion Firefly should have just kidnapped her—why are you still here?”

March 7th: ”How would I know? And Firefly is actually your companion? No wonder I always felt something off about her identity. What purpose did you send her to approach Stelle for?”

Blade: ”We didn’t send her to do anything... She’s doing it all on her own.”

March 7th: ”Still daring to lie to me?”

Seeing the atmosphere between both sides growing tense, Stelle quickly stood between them: ”Stop! Shouldn’t we be talking about the most critical issue right now? Let me state first—I was with March the whole time just now, didn’t see Firefly at all.”

Hearing this, Kafka’s face changed: ”Then the one Firefly kidnapped... who is it?”

Everyone: ”...Oh no!”

...

”Mmm mmm mmm, mmm mmm!” Robin’s eyes were terrified as she struggled desperately.

She didn’t understand how things turned out like this. Logically, she should be the one in control—how did it reverse so completely?!

This Firefly... is a complete yandere!

”Hehehe... Stelle, don’t move around~ ”

”If you keep squirming, I might not be gentle with you oh~”

Firefly pressed Robin’s wrist with one hand, her face wearing an obsessed smile: ”Be good, I’ll try to be as gentle as possible. It’ll be over soon, okay?”

”You can’t blame me for this. I was clearly the one who came first. I even tolerated fair competition, but you played with lives—that’s your problem... But it’s okay, I’ll never blame you. Of course, on the premise that you pay the ’price’.”

Rip! (Ambiguous sound)

”Kekeke, just bear with it, I—”

Bang bang bang!

At this critical moment, the room door was suddenly knocked hard, interrupting Firefly’s laughter.

A glimmer of hope flashed in Robin’s eyes: Great, someone came to interrupt this guy. As long as she seizes the chance, there’s still an opportunity—

”Don’t worry, Stelle. People coming is fine, no impact. Let’s continue.”

Firefly smiled: ”Let me guess—if Miss March is outside too, that’d be even more exciting and fun. What was it called? Oh right, helpless March 7th kekeke!”

Bang bang bang!

The knocking grew louder, but to Firefly, the sound was like some kind of buff—feeling... even more stimulating!

—”Hey! Are you idiots? Why knock at a time like this? Just smash it open!”

—”I-I was just trying to be polite?”

—”Move aside, death omen approaches!”

Click—

The door was violently slashed open by a blood-red sword energy. A large group rushed into the room, arriving at the crime scene.

”What... do you think you’re doing?”

Firefly stared sinisterly at the intruders. Suddenly, she froze—because among them, she saw a familiar figure.

Stelle? H-How is she there? Shouldn’t she be about to be XXX by me right now?
