What if your Honkai Star Rail was like this?

Chapter 218: Chapter 218: A World Without Suffering

At the finish line.

When the Chordal Choir dragged the flying car to arrive here, Himeko and the others also rushed here. According to the agreement before the race, Sunday must meet with their Express group.

”First, congratulations to everyone from the Astral Express for defeating strong enemies and reaching the finish line.”

Sunday spread his arms and smiled: ”You have won one hour of my time. No matter what you want to say, I will listen attentively here.”

Himeko stepped forward and said: ”Mr. Sunday, before coming, we have already introduced the topic—the shares left to us by our Express senior Mr. Mikhail. It should be time to transfer them to us, right?”

Sunday nodded candidly: ”That’s right. According to the contract Mikhail submitted to the group back then, his shares should indeed be inherited by the Nameless Guests of the Astral Express.”

”But I have only one question: How do you prove that you are indeed the Nameless Guests of the Astral Express?”

Dan Heng frowned slightly: ”We have the Astral Express as proof.”

Sunday: ”Then how do you prove that the ’Astral Express’ you speak of is the real Astral Express?”

”Is this your method as the CEO of the Penacony Group? Relying on playing rogue?” Welt frowned and said.

Sunday: ”Forgive my bluntness, everyone. With the current technological means in the galaxy, as long as I want, I can even clone a group of people who look exactly like you on the spot, and then high-fake an ’Astral Express,’ legitimately keeping the shares.”

”But I didn’t do that. Doesn’t this show my sincerity?”

Sunday spread his hands: ”Everyone, for that part of the shares, I have no desire for money at all. After all, the wealth I possess now, although not comparable to Mikhail at his peak, is enough to squander like dirt for the rest of my life.”

”I just want to create a world without suffering. Let me use a story to answer your doubts.”

”Once upon a time, in the yard of a household, there lived a little bird.”

”At first, this household and the little bird didn’t know each other, living in peace. One on the tree, relying on its own wings and beak to obtain food; one on the ground, relying on their own hands and tools, working diligently. They both lived happily in their own ways.”

”However, one day, the little bird on the tree accidentally fell to the ground and met the little girl of this household. The girl saw the little bird was cute and felt pity, so every morning, noon, and evening, she would come under the tree on time to sprinkle a handful of millet for the little bird to eat.”

”For the food delivered to its door, the little bird naturally didn’t refuse. Just like that, it, a brave predator, degenerated into a poultry that only waited for handouts.”

”Suddenly one day, this household had to leave. Before leaving, the girl specially left a large handful of millet under the tree, hoping that when she came to visit the little bird later, she could play with its children and even grandchildren.”

”However, the little bird was unaware of all this. It only thought the girl had simply gone out and would return in the evening. So, it waited like this, waiting until it became emaciated.”

”In the end, it died. A living bird with wings starved to death under the tree.”

Sunday looked compassionate: ”Everyone, wise as you are, you should know what killed the bird.”

”It was freedom, it was idleness, it was carefree life.”

”If the bird had no affluent conditions and instead faced life crises every day, then even if it died in the end, it would be as a bird in the sky, not a poultry on the ground.”

Sunday: ”Although the shares left by Mikhail are inexhaustible wealth for ordinary people for generations, for Nameless Guests like you who roam the galaxy, this wealth is only enough to buy a few star clusters.”

”Do you want to be that starved poultry, or the bird soaring in the sky?”

Chordal Choir (Stelle): ”You’re switching concepts. We’re not brainless; why would we idly buy star systems for nothing?”

”Mr. Sunday, I appreciate your kindness, but how we use this money is none of your concern.” Himeko said, ”We want the shares, now.”

Hearing this, Sunday smiled helplessly: ”Everyone, you still haven’t heard the hidden meaning in this story. No matter, let me give another example to let you know why I need these shares.”

”After all, it’s to build Penacony into a world without suffering.”

”Children born in Penacony are often sent to professional kindergartens for training at the age of four. Before graduating from kindergarten, the children need to master at least two languages, learn basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, and additionally cultivate two hobbies, such as playing chess or drawing.”

”When they enter elementary school, they face twelve years of competition and comparison.”

”Every exam, every class activity, every duty cleaning, and even every ’confession meeting,’ it’s not important how well they do themselves; what’s important is that they need to be better than others.”

”According to my statistics, in this environment, the children’s inner hearts are extremely painful, which exceeded my expectations.”

Dan Heng frowned slightly: ”With such a high-pressure living environment, inner pain is normal, right?”

As someone who had been exploited by the dragon masters before, he undoubtedly had the most say on the scene.

Sunday shook his head: ”No, if a person lives in this environment from birth, their subconscious will default to this environment as normal, just like modern people returning to ancient times would be extremely unadapted, but ancient people enjoyed it in ancient times.”

”So after long thinking, I realized such a truth.”

”Suffering comes from happiness.”

”Just like the bird in the story just now, if it had never gained without labor, it wouldn’t have starved to death under the tree; if Penacony’s children had never obtained happiness, naturally there would be no suffering.”

Hearing this, Stelle (now Chordal Choir) couldn’t help widening her eyes: ”What are you saying, you guy?!”

Is this still human speech?!

The happier people are, the more painful? Then the more painful, the less happy?

So, the happier people are, the less happy?

Head so itchy.

”I think my meaning is already very clear.”

Sunday spread his arms, like a deity: ”I need Mikhail’s shares to become the absolute decision-maker of the Penacony Group.”

”Then, I will issue a policy: cancel people’s holidays, overtime pay, reimbursement mechanisms, and a series of welfare benefits!”

”As long as people have never felt better, naturally they won’t feel there’s anything wrong with the current life.”

”In this way, I can force them to strive for their own survival like an independent free bird, until they save enough surplus for the rest of their lives, I will connect them to Dreamflux Reef to enjoy life.”

”In this way, the total working time and enjoyment time remain unchanged, yet everyone can head toward an ending without suffering!”
