Gene Unlocking: I Evolve Every Day

Heavens... Oh my God!

Is this the iron-based life form whose body spans hundreds of light years?

Lupar stared at this colossal entity, feeling utterly shaken to the core.

Even watching from a virtual image, he could still feel the boundless pressure emanating from such a massive body.

The pressure was so intense that Lupar could barely breathe!

Didan, Dadi, Saint Garo, and the Supreme Leaders of the four spiral arms all had the same reaction.

Everyone’s eyes were filled with deep shock.

Such overwhelming pressure was only previously felt from Lu Li, the Cosmos’ only True God.

Now, they finally felt it for the second time.

Kaimao exclaimed involuntarily, ”Is it... Is that the iron-based life form?”

Nuazai’s voice resounded, ”Indeed, it is the most powerful existence among the iron-based life forms.”

Upon confirming the identity, everyone finally understood why Nuazai, the Cosmic Emperor, who wielded the power of the universe’s only level-four civilization, would be so wary.

It turned out this iron-based life form was terrifying beyond imagination.

Looking at the incredibly large body before them, anyone could imagine what would happen if it moved around - how the surrounding starry sky would react.

Just as this thought emerged in their minds, the iron-based life form validated their idea.

It barely moved, and a nearby star, touched by its enormous body, instantly exploded violently, transforming into endless streams of light spreading everywhere.

Wh-what!?

Just a slight movement of the body, and a star was easily destroyed?

Lupar, Didan, and Saint Garo’s pupils involuntarily widened.

At this moment, they finally realized the sheer prowess of this colossal body!

Suddenly, Li Luo’s voice echoed, ”Watch closely.”

Upon hearing this, everyone immediately widened their eyes, knowing that an extraordinary and terrifying scene was about to unfold.

Sure enough, the iron-based life form opened its bloodthirsty maw, fiercely sucking towards a globular cluster with relatively dense stars.

In an instant, dozens of stars were torn apart by an incomparable gravitational force, transforming into streams of matter, and absorbed into the belly of the iron-based life form.

Lupar was dumbfounded.

Didan also widened his eyes.

Dadi, Saint Garo, De Kuerde, and the Supreme Leaders of the four spiral arms each revealed expressions of horror.

Although they had been speculating whether iron-based life forms fed on stars to sustain their immense energy, actually validating this idea still shook them to the core.

Swallowed dozens of stars in one gulp?

If allowed to devour unrestrained, an entire globular cluster might not last long before being completely consumed.

...

The image abruptly retracted.

They returned to reality.

Li Luo spoke slowly, ”Iron-based life forms feed on nuclear matter, making stars their optimal food source. However, stars are not their only food source; smaller iron-based life forms might feed on gaseous planets or comets. Terrestrial planets, comparatively, are relatively safe.”

Nuazai added, ”Precisely because our Martial Hero Race learned that iron-based life forms feed on stars, we deduced that if they invade major galaxies, they are highly likely to consume numerous stars, leading to massive species extinction.”

His tone became extremely grave as he said this, ”Iron-based life forms are extremely dangerous creatures, their existence threatens all other life forms in the universe, including carbon-based, silicon-based, and sulfur-based. Therefore, if we do not wish to face extinction one day due to the loss of starlight, it would be best to quickly eliminate these star-consuming iron-based life forms in the universe.”

Silence!

An endless silence continued to spread within the hall.

Lupar, Didan, and Saint Garo realized the threat level iron-based life forms pose to intelligent life after watching the brief image.

They also knew that if a rather powerful iron-based life form enters the Milky Way Galaxy, it would certainly wreak havoc across the entire galaxy, potentially annihilating most life forms.

Logically, their first reaction should be to cooperate with the Martial Hero Race and quickly eliminate these iron-based life forms.

However, with the iron-based life form’s body being so formidable, what technology could they possibly use to annihilate it?

Planetary cannons?

Stellar cannons?

Antimatter bombs?

These weapons are considered destructive for ordinary intelligent life and even planets and stars, but in the face of iron-based life forms, they seem entirely ineffective.

Lupar carefully recalled all the powerful weapons in the Milky Way Galaxy and ultimately concluded:

No weapon could inflict even the slightest harm on the iron-based life form they had just seen!

This made Lupar feel very bitter.

He took a deep breath and tentatively asked, ”Respected Nuazai, I’ve heard your Martial Hero Race has developed a ’vacuum decay’ weapon, is that true?”

Nuazai calmly admitted, ”Yes, our race has indeed developed a ’vacuum decay’ weapon. However, this weapon’s power needs to be controlled. At most, we can destroy a region spanning hundreds of light years at once, using a ’counter-vacuum decay’ weapon for energy transition to prevent ’vacuum decay’ from continually spreading and causing unavoidable destructive impact across the universe.”

He paused for a moment, ”You asked whether our Martial Hero Race has developed a ’vacuum decay’ weapon because you want to know if iron-based life forms would be affected by ’vacuum decay’, right?”

Lupar nodded, ”Yes.”

Didan, Saint Garo, and De Kuerde all focused their gazes on Nuazai.

They also wondered if ’vacuum decay’, one of the Cosmos’ most terrifying phenomena, could annihilate iron-based life forms.

Nuazai showed a hint of helplessness, ”We have indeed used the ’vacuum decay’ weapon to eliminate a relatively small iron-based life form, about the size of an ordinary terrestrial planet. At that time, we thought having the ’vacuum decay’ weapon meant no longer fearing iron-based life forms, until we attempted to annihilate an iron-based life form the size of a star and met with failure...”

Asa was taken aback, ”Since a planet-sized iron-based life form can be eliminated, why can’t a star-sized iron-based life form be annihilated?”

Lupar, Didan, and De Kuerde also felt a bit perplexed.

Nuazai explained, ”Just now, you watched that segment and should know iron-based life forms feed on nuclear matter. After a full meal, they can sustain themselves for a very long time without feeding. Our first time using ’vacuum decay’ to eliminate that iron-based life form, its body actually hadn’t suffered too severe a blow. Its real cause of death was completely exhausting its sustaining energy, akin to a carbon-based organism dying of starvation. Theoretically, if you trap iron-based life forms and create a vacuum decay in that area, you might indeed starve them to death. But the problem is vacuum decay spreads indefinitely—if we don’t end it within a certain time limit, we won’t need iron-based life forms to destroy us, we’ll destroy ourselves. And a star-sized iron-based life form can sustain itself for a hundred years after feeding. Imagine, maintaining a vacuum decay for a hundred years—how much of the Star Realm would be destroyed?”

Everyone could certainly calculate.

Assuming vacuum decay is a point, once it emerges, it will continually spread outward in all directions.

One hundred years is sufficient for this point to expand into an absolute vacuum region with a radius of one hundred light years.

A radius of one hundred light years means a diameter of two hundred light years.

Such a vast Star Realm would undoubtedly contain thousands to tens of thousands of stellar systems.

This means multiple civilizations would be destroyed.

Fine, let’s say everyone is willing to pay such a heavy price, but iron-based life form is a life form after all—it won’t stay motionless in one place.

It can completely leave the vacuum decay area and migrate elsewhere to feed, supplementing its sustaining energy.

Li Luo added a sentence that plunged everyone into despair, ”If iron-based life forms moved slowly, theoretically, leveraging the ’vacuum decay’ weapon and spending a lot of time, we indeed might be able to eliminate them. But iron-based life forms are the universe’s most dazzling life forms aside from the Land God; their information is transmitted through quantum entanglement, allowing them to easily achieve wormhole travel between galaxies—even surviving in absolute vacuum environments. So, wanting to trap them is fundamentally unrealistic!”

Surviving even in absolute vacuum!

And can easily achieve wormhole jumps!

Looking at it this way, iron-based life forms can’t really be killed at all.

A deep sense of despair spread within the hearts of Lupar, Didan, Saint Garo, and De Kuerde. The utmost despair truly overwhelming them!
