Gene Unlocking: I Evolve Every Day

The ”Lord of Ten Thousand Stars” election is undoubtedly the top-tier event of the Milky Way Galaxy.

Everyone knows that the election of the ”Lord of Ten Thousand Stars” is crucial to the future development and prosperity of billions of species in the Milky Way.

What’s more, this ”Lord of Ten Thousand Stars” election is quite special.

Originally, it was supposed to occur every fifty years, but the previous ”Lord of Ten Thousand Stars,” Prussia, was assassinated, and the current acting ”Lord of Ten Thousand Stars,” Lupar, is very old and cannot last much longer, so a rapid election is necessary.

Therefore, everyone is aware of how significant this election is for the ”Lord of Ten Thousand Stars.”

Earth’s civilization has just joined the Orion Arm Interstellar Alliance recently, naturally earning the right to participate, although this is the first time.

Frankly speaking, many of Earth’s leaders are unsure of how to proceed.

Fortunately, the Galaxy Alliance sent experts to provide guidance, and considering Earth’s relatively backward civilization, they especially adopted both online and offline voting methods.

The offline voting method requires individuals to go to the county-level or higher administrative unit to vote using facial recognition.

The online voting method is somewhat simpler, still requiring facial recognition, followed by selecting the candidate to vote for.

The Galaxy Alliance provides high-tech assistance, and with new ”organizer” artificial intelligence support, errors are basically nonexistent.

As for cheating...

Presently, aside from ”Pangu,” there doesn’t seem to be any technology on Earth capable of competing with the Galaxy Alliance’s ”organizer” artificial intelligence, making successful cheating unlikely.

To facilitate promotion, the Galaxy Alliance bombarded major social and portal websites on Earth for several days.

Now, everyone is aware of the election, eagerly awaiting the polls to open and then officially vote.

Of course, voting is one thing.

Candidates are another matter.

Currently, Earth has 192 regions and organizations.

These regions and organizations allocate different numbers of votes based on population proportion and regional strength.

For example, Huaxia, with a relatively large population and relatively developed region, has the most votes, possessing 34 out of the total 193 votes.

Old Ugly follows with 29 votes.

These are the more developed regions.

In some backward or sparsely populated areas, the votes may not even amount to one, requiring several organizations or regions to share one vote.

Regardless, all 192 candidates recommended by their respective regional organizations have been put forward.

Huaxia’s candidate is Uncle Long.

Old Ugly’s, naturally, is George.

From the Big Goose region, it’s the Great Emperor.

And other organizations and regions have their candidates.

Since Lu Li is Earth’s ”Eternal Star Lord,” he is not counted among any regional candidates but stands as an individual candidate.

This means the actual number of participants from Earth totals 193, precisely matching the number of votes.

Several websites, seeing such a grand event, eagerly report on it and even list vote counts.

And although the remaining 192 candidates aside from Lu Li know they can’t compete with Lu Li for the final candidate position, they still have to show some stance. They can’t passively participate in the election, or they’d be ridiculed by aliens.

As a result, a group of bigwigs come out, putting on a facade of vote-getting.

For example, the Great Emperor recorded a video, publicly declaring to the world: ”In the Milky Way ’Lord of Ten Thousand Stars’ Earth’s preliminaries, I hope everyone can cast a vote for me. I will surely lead all species to glory.”

Hmm, a very perfunctory solicitation for votes, without mentioning any benefits or election policies.

Despite this, quite a number of people still supported the Great Emperor in the comment section.

”Ah, the Great Emperor!”

”Valiant and battle-hardened Great Emperor! We will support you in spirit!”

”Yes, absolutely in spirit support!”

”Great Emperor, don’t worry if you lose, it’s just that your competitor is too strong this time, try again in fifty years.”

”Pfft, the Great Emperor is already in his sixties or seventies, try again in fifty years? Are you kidding!”

Many netizens expressed their ”spiritual support.”

This phrase is quite clear, it means no concrete support will be given.

There’s no way around it, anyone with sense knows who should get the vote, how could they possibly give it to the Great Emperor?

Besides the Great Emperor, George also released a perfunctory vote-getting video.

George, dressed in a suit, smilingly looked at the camera and said: ”It is an honor to be Old Ugly’s candidate, I hope everyone can give me a vote.”

A candidate from a small district: ”I hope I won’t lose too badly. Please at least let me get one vote for face-saving.”

A bigwig from a district neighboring Huaxia: ”Although I know I can’t be elected, since my district nominated me, I have no reason not to campaign, please vote for me!”

Countless bigwigs came out to campaign.

All these bigwigs were not very enthusiastic.

After all, everyone knew they were just going through the motions.

Elected?

What a daydream!

The ”Eternal Star Lord,” aside from having high prestige in the Milky Way, has anyone in all of Earth’s history ever rivaled them?

Because everyone is wise, there’s basically no expectation of whether they can actually get elected.

Many bigwigs now only seek one thing, which is to get at least a few votes, so they don’t lose too badly.

The scene was grand, and the hype was immense.

In Diamond Home.

”Bro! You’re really not campaigning for votes?” Second cousin asked anxiously.

Lu Li helplessly said, ”Not only am I not campaigning for votes, but I’m also calling for everyone not to vote for me.”
