Gene Unlocking: I Evolve Every Day

He pondered for quite a while, but in the end still decided not to go to the Fantasy World.

Even if he wasn’t going to the Fantasy World, he could keep exploring the mysteries of dimensions.

Previously, Lu Li had only ascended to the third dimension, which was the dimension of the Fantasy World.

Now that his strength had skyrocketed, he naturally wanted to know what lay above the Fantasy World’s dimension.

So, Lu Li closed his eyes and began channeling energy to bore through the dimensional barrier.

Then he attached his consciousness to the energy and kept ascending toward the dimension above the third layer.

Back then, Lu Li had absolutely no ability to break through to the fourth dimension.

The main reason was that his own energy wasn’t enough to pierce such a thick dimensional barrier.

Now his strength was not just thousands or tens of thousands of times stronger than before.

This problem, naturally, was no longer a problem.

Sure enough, his energy very easily reached the fourth dimension.

The next moment, Lu Li ”saw” what kind of dimension this was.

There were actually endless ”Cosmic Mother Seas” here!

”Hm?”

Lu Li was taken aback. ”In the second dimension there’s only one Cosmic Mother Sea, so why in the fourth dimension are there endless Cosmic Mother Seas?”

He really was a bit dumbfounded by this situation.

Lu Li thought for a bit and casually picked one Cosmic Mother Sea to examine.

At first, he didn’t see any clues.

It wasn’t until he found within this Cosmic Mother Sea a Cosmos exactly the same as the one he was in.

And this Cosmos also had Earth, with an almost identical developmental history!

”Huh, there are tens of thousands of Cosmoses here whose developmental histories are similar to the Cosmos where Earth is.”

Lu Li inspected them one by one, and then was shocked to discover.

This place was actually a Cosmos of Parallel Worlds!

For the moment, he didn’t understand why there would be tens of thousands of Parallel Universes here.

But Lu Li could clearly see that these Parallel Universes all stopped further ”evolving” after developing to a certain stage.

For example, one of the Parallel Universes was frozen in the time period just before ”Wang Mang usurped the Han.”

That Parallel Universe did not have ”Wang Mang” at all; it just developed to around 45 BC.

Another Parallel Universe, for instance, had developed to the exact moment before ”Wu Sangui” was born.

And there were far too many Parallel Universes existing at all sorts of different time periods.

Lu Li seemed to have a premonition. ”Could it be that all these Parallel Universes were tampered with? For example, by transmigrators, reborn people—who messed up the course of history, and once those transmigrators or reborn people died or left that particular Parallel Universe, the historical development just came to an abrupt halt?”

Ordinary people definitely had no way to transmigrate or be reborn.

Even Lu Li, before his seventh deep evolution, did not possess the ability to travel through time.

So if he had seen this ”Parallel Cosmic Mother Sea” before his seventh deep evolution, he would definitely have found it utterly inconceivable.

But now that Lu Li already possessed the ability to travel through time, he didn’t find it strange.

Besides, there was one thing he could be very sure of.

And that was that up to now, he had not discovered anyone in any other dimension whose abilities were similar to his.

Therefore, one thing Lu Li could be very certain of was that in an entire complete world, there might only be two beings who possessed the ability to travel through time.

One was himself, without a doubt.

As for the other one...

Well, fine.

It couldn’t really be called a person.

It should be the ”Great Will.”

According to what Lu Li currently knew, the complete world he was in had all been evolved by the Great Will.

Most crucially, it seemed that what the Great Will had evolved was not just the complete world he was in.

So that it possessed the ability to travel through space-time—and could even let others travel through time—was actually not strange at all.

Although he understood that the Great Will had such abilities, Lu Li still felt it was a bit odd.

He couldn’t figure out why, having already created a ”normal Cosmos,” the Great Will still had to fiddle with these Parallel Universes.

”Could it be... the Great Will is running some kind of experiment, and all these Parallel Universes are failed cases, and then they get tossed here like data backups?”

Lu Li had no idea whether his guess was correct.

But he felt this was the most reasonable explanation for now.

”This layer of dimension doesn’t seem to be of much help to me.”

Lu Li glanced around for a bit, and once he confirmed it indeed wasn’t helpful to him, he stopped paying attention to it.

He controlled the energy to continue rising, wanting to enter the fifth layer of dimension and see what was going on there.

And indeed, the barrier of the fifth dimension was extremely ”hard.”

Lu Li expended half of his own energy just to barely chisel out a tiny crack.

”Damn, this burns way too much energy, doesn’t it?”

Lu Li couldn’t help cursing to himself. ”If this layer of dimension gives me no help at all, I’ll have taken a huge loss.”

He’d still have to waste time recovering his energy—wouldn’t that be a huge loss?

With a speechless mood, Lu Li let the energy carrying his consciousness rise into the fifth dimension.

The next moment, he saw an astonishing scene!

In the fifth dimension, it was filled with all kinds of streams of energy similar to ”yin-yang dual qi.”

Calling them air currents didn’t seem quite right either; in any case, they were a very peculiar kind of energy.

These energies were using the fifth dimension as their center and constantly spreading down toward the four dimensions below.

It seemed that the development of the four lower dimensions relied entirely on the support of these mysterious energies.

The strangest thing was that Lu Li discovered once these energies fell from the fifth layer into any one of the dimensions below, they would completely merge into that dimension and become undetectable to him.
