Gene Unlocking: I Evolve Every Day

Chapter 143: Chapter 133: Annual Profits in the Hundreds of Millions

Mandalay, Hilton Hotel.

Perhaps it’s because they know Lu Li possesses powerful, extraordinary abilities.

After Mo Juedu drove everyone back, and upon hearing that Lu Li hadn’t had time to find a hotel, he immediately booked a room for Lu Li at the Hilton, one of the best hotels in the area.

It’s around eleven at night now.

In the hotel room.

”Thank you, Mr. Lu, for saving our lives.”

”Mr. Lu, I’m truly grateful for your life-saving intervention,” Zhen Qiang expressed.

”Mr. Lu, I really can’t thank you enough this time.”

”Mr. Lu...”

Brother Gu, Chen Man Ni, Zhen Qiang, her husband, and the two remaining women were nearly on their knees in gratitude.

Lu Li exchanged a few pleasantries with the group, observing the still-terrified expressions and bruised arms of Brother Gu, Chen Man Ni, and the four or five others, sighing inwardly.

Earlier, after getting out of the car, he immediately hid near the small village, then used his Spiritual Power to kill the kidnappers from a distance, easily rescuing Brother Gu, Chen Man Ni, Zhen Qiang, and the others.

Honestly, it wasn’t much effort.

After all, freezing the water inside the kidnappers’ bodies with Spiritual Power wasn’t exactly taxing, was it?

The only challenging part for Lu Li was when he ignited about a hundred barrels of explosives while leading Brother Gu, Chen Man Ni, Zhen Qiang, and the others away.

Manipulating over a hundred points of fire at once was quite the test of control.

The reason he detonated those barrels was to destroy any evidence and avoid further trouble for himself.

The hostages were saved, and the treacherous kidnappers were all killed.

Yet Chen Man Ni, Brother Gu, and Zhen Qiang were still visibly shaken.

Lu Li understood that the fear and trauma of being kidnapped and tortured would linger in their hearts for a long time.

It’s undeniable that Myanmar is indeed dangerous for ordinary people.

Originally, Lu Li didn’t have a close relationship with this group.

This time, he traveled a long way to save them.

One reason was to repay a favor to Chen Man Ni.

Another reason was for Liu Kexin’s sake.

Of course, the most important reason was to test his own strength.

Now that he’s seen what he can do.

He can confidently say that, given his current strength, even if the enemy has a massive army, they wouldn’t pose much of a threat if caught off guard.

However, if in close range, he might face danger if two hundred armed men open fire.

Why say this?

Because previously, he found that the limit of his Spiritual Power was splitting his focus to light over a hundred barrels of explosives simultaneously.

So, the number of objects he can control with precision in one go is around this many.

Naturally, the number of enemies he could eliminate in one sweep is also about this many.

If faced head-on within a certain distance, with all enemies armed, even after dealing with a hundred or so, there would still be another hundred firing at once.

His physical toughness currently can’t withstand rifle fire.

Therefore, theoretically, two hundred armed enemies could pose a danger to him.

But that’s just theoretical.

In reality, his physical strength, reflexes, and speed are far superior to ordinary humans, allowing him to react before others pull the trigger.

Even two hundred fully armed soldiers might not be his match.

Lu Li feels that if he were in open terrain, it would take at least a thousand fully armed, highly trained individuals to possibly eliminate him.

And that’s in open battlefields.

With any cover, not even a thousand elite armed forces could handle him.

Having assessed his real strength, Lu Li feels quite satisfied.

At least, as long as he’s not recklessly seeking death, there’s basically no one who can kill him in this world.

Unless someone fights dirty and drops a nuclear weapon with a wide blast radius.

Otherwise, as long as there’s room to maneuver, he has unlimited possibilities.

These thoughts flashed by in an instant.

Lu Li was about to tell Brother Gu, Chen Man Ni, and Zhen Qiang to rest for the night and discuss things tomorrow.

After all, they’ve been kidnapped for several days and their mental state was poor.

Unexpectedly, just as he was about to speak, the doorbell chimed ”ding dong, ding dong.”

Sun Demin quickly went to open the door.

The next moment, Mo Juedu came in, accompanied by a dark-skinned, short elderly man in his sixties.

Despite his poor mental state, Brother Gu stood up quickly upon seeing the elderly man, speaking in a slightly ingratiating tone, ”Hello, Mr. Wana.”

Chen Man Ni, Zhen Qiang, and the other two women all turned their heads to look.

Wana?

Isn’t he Mo Juedu’s boss?

Lu Li had previously heard Sun Demin talk about Wana.

Knowing he is one of the biggest jade raw material suppliers in Mandalay.

Many dealers on Jiawan Jade Street source their goods from him.

It is said that he is the largest jade mine owner in Mandalay.

He owns six jade mines and two gold mines.

He is extremely powerful.

Initially, he thought Wana came to check on Brother Gu, a client.

Who would have thought that Wana did not spare even a glance at Brother Gu, only uttering a soft ”hmm.”

Then, he walked directly up to Lu Li, displaying a flattering and ingratiating smile, speaking in somewhat broken Mandarin, ”Hello, Mr. Lu, I’m Wana, nice to meet you.”

Lu Li remained seated, casually responding, ”Hello, Mr. Wana.”

Wana was full of enthusiasm, ”I’ve long heard of you, Mr. Lu. Since you’re in Mandalay, allow me to host you tomorrow, and let me show you around the city.”
