Gene Unlocking: I Evolve Every Day

Chapter 111: Chapter 103: Astonishing Medical Skills (10/10)

The old man’s exclamation of ”hot” took everyone by surprise.

Liu Peinan was slightly stunned.

Liu Peilin’s eyes widened slightly.

Liu Peinan’s father, uncle, and more than a dozen others all looked at each other, seemingly finding it hard to believe.

Dr. Henqi also appeared somewhat incredulous, but his eyes lit up as he looked at Lu Li’s hands. He seemed eager to see what this miraculous massage technique was like.

Only Peng Erping seemed to have anticipated this situation, showing a faint smile.

Everyone looked at Lu Li with eyes filled with some astonishment.

What no one expected was that the old man had just shouted ”hot,” and his leg had clearly twitched!

For the dozen or so members of the Liu Family, such a reaction from the old man was absolutely unbelievable.

Who wasn’t aware that the old man had been ill for a long time, his leg condition terrible, having long lost part of its sensation?

Furthermore, because the situation was so severe, the old man’s legs couldn’t even support him to stand up; he needed help with everyday activities like getting in and out of bed.

But now?

While everyone was outside waiting for Dr. Henqi, Lu Li had already performed a massage on the old man with noticeable effect, causing his leg to twitch, and he even shouted ”hot”?

Though nobody knew why the old man shouted ”hot,” after all, Lu Li was just giving a massage and not using anything hot.

However, at that moment, they all realized one thing.

This seemingly young Dr. Lu might really have some skill!

Perhaps there was a chance for the old man to alleviate his pain.

Liu Peinan, Liu Peilin, and the dozen or so other members of the Liu Family hurriedly kept silent, fearing that their noise would disturb Lu Li’s treatment.

Lu Li was currently focusing all his efforts on eliminating germs in the old man’s legs and didn’t notice the people’s expressions.

He steadied the old man’s legs, ”The treatment is a bit hot; if you can endure it, it’s best to do so, but of course, if you really can’t take it, I can ease up.”

The old man did indeed feel quite hot, but having suffered from rheumatism for so many years, he was strong enough to see it having an effect, ”I can endure it, Divine Doctor, go ahead with the treatment.”

Lu Li nodded slightly, ”Alright, if you can’t stand it, you must let me know.”

The old man answered, ”I understand.”

Lu Li continued to concentrate, constantly activating energy rays, eliminating germs, and enhancing self-healing.

One minute.

Three minutes.

Five minutes.

Time ticked by slowly.

In the blink of an eye, about ten minutes quickly passed.

During that time, no one dared to make a sound, afraid of interrupting Lu Li’s treatment.

Dr. Henqi was no different.

Yet, with no further developments in those ten minutes, the group couldn’t help but start whispering again.

”Do you think Dr. Lu can relieve Grandpa’s pain?”

”He probably can, right? Grandpa did shout ’hot’ just now, and his leg moved clearly.”

”I really didn’t expect it, for Dr. Lu to have such exceptional medical skills at such a young age.”

”It’s still too early to tell; after all, there hasn’t been any movement for a while.”

The group had varied opinions.

Some praised Lu Li’s medical skills.

Others thought it might have just been a fluke earlier.

After all, the old man hadn’t moved for over ten minutes.

It was normal for some to think this way.

But before the group could say much more,

Suddenly, Lu Li let go of his hands, ”Old man, move your legs.”

What?

For the old man whose legs were immobile to move his legs himself?

Liu Peinan’s father and uncle looked at each other again, seeing in each other’s eyes a sense of strangeness and disbelief.

Even Liu Peinan and Liu Peilin found it a bit hard to believe.

Why?

Because curing rheumatism isn’t something that can be achieved overnight.

Given the old man’s condition, even if a world-renowned doctor like Dr. Henqi took over, it would still take some time before his legs could move again. How could it happen in just ten minutes?

Even Dr. Henqi frowned upon hearing the interpreter’s words.

Only Peng Erping remained full of anticipation.

On the contrary, the old man was obedient, ”Okay, I’ll give it a try.”

Hearing this, everyone fixed their gaze intently on the old man’s legs.

They wanted to know if the old man’s legs could really move.

Especially Liu Peilin, who quickly walked back to the old man’s wheelchair.

As if preparing to offer immediate support if anything went wrong.

Under the watchful eyes of the crowd, the old man tried his best to exert force, slowly lifting his leg forward.

The next moment, everyone’s eyes widened!

They couldn’t believe their eyes as they clearly saw the old man’s legs moving forward slowly without any assistance!

Dr. Henqi was taken aback.

Liu Peinan’s mouth slightly opened, seemingly very surprised.

Liu Peinan and everyone else widened their eyes even more!

In just about ten minutes, the old man’s nearly immobilized legs had regained motion?

Everyone present wore expressions of disbelief.

It’s really unbelievable that Lu Li’s medical skills are so advanced to this extent!

Perhaps it was because they were too stunned.

Or they didn’t want to interfere with the treatment.

No one on the scene made a sound.

Everyone’s expressions were almost identical.

Yes, everyone had their eyes wide open!

The old man swayed gently a few times, showing a look of surprise and delight on his face, ”I can move my legs! I really can move them!”

Perhaps it was the old man’s voice that woke the astounded crowd.

For a moment, everyone started whispering again.

”Wow!”

”Is it real?”

”Grandpa’s legs can actually move?”

”Oh my, this Dr. Lu’s medical skills are really exceptional!”

”Still calling him Dr. Lu? Call him Divine Doctor!”

”Isn’t he a Divine Doctor? Grandpa’s legs were so seriously ill that they couldn’t move at all, but after just more than ten minutes of treatment, they can move again. Divine Doctor Lu is truly amazing!”

Liu Peinan and a group of younger people were there whispering with endless amazement.

Liu Peinan’s father and uncle hadn’t spoken, but the surprise in their eyes was no less than that of others.

When they first heard the old man shout about it being warm, they already thought Lu Li might really be a capable person.

But now that the old man’s legs moved gently several times, it was not just a matter of capability or not.

Liu Peinan’s father and uncle had an unbelievable thought rising in their hearts at this moment: this Mr. Lu is probably someone with extraordinary skills!

If anyone was most shocked by this scene, it must have been Dr. Henqi.

As the top rheumatologist at Ugly Country’s Mayo Clinic, he is a top authority on rheumatism globally, very aware of how severe the old man’s leg condition was.

Dr. Henqi could responsibly say that even if he brought the old man to the Mayo Clinic for treatment, it would take at least a week to achieve the slight movement of his legs like now!

And now, this young Chinese medicine practitioner?

He took only a very short time!

Dr. Henqi felt as if his worldview was collapsing.

He was even secretly astonished in his heart; is Chinese medicine really so miraculous?

Lu Li checked the old man’s condition, ”Hmm, don’t move for now, let me treat you a bit more, hopefully, I can get you to stand later.”

The old man quickly stopped moving, his face full of smiles, his tone much more polite, ”Okay, thank you, Divine Doctor Lu.”

He even actively used a term of respect!

Lu Li placed his hands back on the old man’s legs, pretending to massage while looking up and smiling, ”No problem, compassion is a doctor’s calling. If I come, I’m definitely going to cure your illness.”

As he spoke, he once again gathered more energy light lines into his palms, injecting them bit by bit into the legs.

The crowd, which was still a bit noisy, was now in a daze.

It wasn’t because Lu Li was treating the old man again that they froze.

But because they heard Lu Li say he was going to make the old man stand later, so they were all stunned.

Standing up and moving the legs a few times are completely different concepts.

A person who hasn’t been out of bed for years, even with daily massages, would still have some degree of muscle atrophy in the legs. How could slight treatment make him stand up?

In the past, if the Liu family heard Lu Li’s words, they would have considered him a charlatan and wouldn’t hesitate to drive him away.

However, Lu Li’s treatment earlier indeed created an incredible miracle.

So, even though the crowd still didn’t quite dare to believe that Lu Li could really make the old man stand, no one dared to speak up.

Moreover, Liu Peinan, Liu Peilin, and several other young people even showed a look of expectation in their eyes.

Among those who also had an expectant look was Dr. Henqi.

He felt he was witnessing a great miracle in medicine today.

He dared not miss a single scene of Lu Li’s massage, watching with wide-open eyes as if trying to ”learn by watching”.

Peng Erping’s smile grew even more radiant, as he always felt Lu Li was definitely going to cure the old man.

Time kept ticking away.

Five minutes.

Ten minutes.

Soon, nearly half an hour had passed.

At this moment, the crowd saw that Lu Li’s forehead was covered in a dense layer of fine sweat.

Conversely, the old man’s complexion was becoming more and more rosy.

Just then, Lu Li suddenly collapsed on the ground, breathing slightly, ”Old... Grandpa, try standing up now, but remember, just stand up. Your leg muscles are quite severely atrophied, and it’s not advisable to walk yet.”

The old man quickly replied, ”Okay.”

Liu Peinan and Peng Erping hurried over to help Lu Li up.

Others also wanted to help ”Divine Doctor Lu” up, but now they were more eager to see whether the old man could actually get up.

Therefore, everyone’s gaze was unconsciously fixed on the old man, and they didn’t step forward to assist Lu Li.

Under the expectant gazes of everyone, the old man placed his arms on the wheelchair’s armrests and tremblingly tried his best to stand up.

Liu Peilin had her hands ready to support him, as if she would immediately assist him if the old man was about to fall.

Including Liu Peinan’s father, uncle, and others, they unconsciously stepped forward a few paces, fearing the old man might fall.

However, at that moment, a heart-stirring scene unfolded!

Although the old man seemed very struggling, he slowly managed to stand up after a few attempts!

What?

The old man actually stood up?

Watching this scene, everyone in the courtyard was utterly amazed!
