Just Engaged, the Abandoned Comeback System Arrived

Chapter 80: Chapter 80: Thunder Blade Triple Extremities Slash

When he arrived at the Demon Suppression Bureau’s training ground again, Lu Yuan received entirely different treatment. Not only Liu Zhi, but Yu Qiuyang and Mu Lingche also cast respectful glances his way. This was especially true for Mu Lingche; the young master had never paid any attention to Lu Yuan before. He might not be willing to admit it in his heart yet, but his actions had already changed.

As for Jiang Hongfei, he was already desperately practicing his boxing routines and doing Bone Tempering in the pit Lu Yuan had dug. He swore to achieve great success in Bone Tempering within a month. Then, he would catch up and surpass Lu Yuan as quickly as possible.

”Good morning, everyone,” Chen Yuan took the initiative to greet them.

”Morning, Brother Lu,” Liu Zhi responded.

Everyone spoke much less today, including Liu Zhi. They were all desperately cultivating.

Lu Yuan walked around for a bit and then left.

He went to the Cultivation Technique Building and first returned the Cloud-Brushing Hand and the Nine Glories of Archery.

”I want the Thunder Blade Triple Extremities Slash,” he said.

Hearing this, the manager immediately raised an eyebrow. ”The Thunder Blade Triple Extremities Slash costs thirty Contribution Points. Do you have enough?”

”I do.”

Lu Yuan took out his identity token and showed it to the manager. It had a mechanism that displayed his points.

”One hundred and eighteen points!” The manager’s eyes widened. He abruptly raised his head and stared straight at Lu Yuan. ”How do you have so many Contribution Points?”

”I earned them, of course. There should be a record,” Lu Yuan said with a smile.

”This...” The manager’s expression shifted.

It was impossible to arbitrarily alter or forge Contribution Points. The token was designed by an Artifact Refining Grandmaster. Furthermore, there was a record for every single point and every step of the process. Forging points would require bribing countless people at various levels. If caught, the punishment would be the confiscation of property and the extermination of one’s entire clan. Even a Marquis Mansion couldn’t bear such a consequence.

But how exactly did this kid get so many?

”Although the Thunder Blade Triple Extremities Slash is strong, it’s very difficult to practice. Many fail to master it,” the manager warned.

”I can definitely master it!” Lu Yuan’s gaze was firm.

The manager let out a long sigh. ”Third bookshelf, sixth tier, fifth book. You can read it inside for four hours, but you cannot take it out!”

”Thank you.” Lu Yuan nodded and went inside.

Arriving at the third bookshelf, he quickly found his target. It was the Thunder Blade Triple Extremities Slash.

It was said that this was once the Ultimate Skill of a Sect and had an illustrious reputation. That Sect later declined, and its secret manuals were scattered, becoming the target of scrambling among various factions. This particular manual eventually fell into the hands of the Demon Suppression Bureau. Of course, this was just a handwritten copy.

Lu Yuan opened it and took a look.

The text was quite long, containing several thousand words. The entire book detailed the technique of controlling thunder with a blade, which was extremely profound and powerful. Although it only consisted of three moves, it encompassed a great deal.

To practice it, one needed at least a Middle Class Root Bone and Great Success in Organ Refinement. One also had to possess a specially forged Profound Weapon, the Wind Thunder Saber. The Wind Thunder Saber could gather the power of thunder and lightning to execute the moves. With a single slash, wind and thunder would explode, shocking all living beings.

Forging a Wind Thunder Saber required a Wind Thunder Stone. Wind Thunder Stones were incredibly precious, produced in only a few places across the world. Of course, there was another hidden and most crucial requirement: Sword Dao Talent and comprehension of Saber Techniques.

Therefore, taking all these conditions into account, very few people could practice the Thunder Blade Triple Extremities Slash, and even fewer could achieve great success with it—they were few and far between. But once great success was achieved, the user would be invincible in the Seventh Grade.

Naturally, this was just the claim of the person who wrote or copied the manual. It might contain elements of exaggeration.

However, its power was certainly not to be underestimated. Moreover, this Saber Technique would continuously strengthen as one’s Cultivation improved. Eventually, it could even draw upon Celestial Thunder, unleashing slashes fueled by Celestial Thunder Power. This was absolutely devastating, making it nearly impossible for anyone below the Third Grade to resist.

With the boost from his Intermediate Sword Dao Talent and his slight understanding of Wind Thunder’s Electric Power, Lu Yuan found it very easy to reach the beginner level.

[Martial Arts: Thunder Blade Triple Extremities Slash (Beginner 13/3000)...]

It required three thousand experience points just to reach minor success. This had already surpassed the scope of Superior Martial Arts; it was an Ultimate Skill. A Divine Technique Ultimate Art!

”I heard that our Demon Suppression Bureau has a secret method to improve Root Bones,” Lu Yuan said as he approached the manager.

”Yes.” The manager looked at Lu Yuan and smiled, assuming the boy had hit a bottleneck regarding his Root Bone requirement. ”Our Demon Suppression Bureau indeed possesses a secret method to elevate one’s Root Bone. However, it requires a Seventh Grade Cultivation to practice, and it costs three hundred Contribution Points.”

A Seventh Grade Martial Artist could absorb Heaven and Earth Primordial Qi, condense their True Essence, and then use the secret method to refine that True Essence to nourish and upgrade their Root Bone.

Below the Seventh Grade, one could only rely on Pills. But such Pills were incomparably precious and rare in the world, and their improvement effects were mostly limited.

”I see, thank you.”

Lu Yuan left the Cultivation Technique Building.

It seemed he would have to wait a while before he could practice the secret method to improve his Root Bone. He couldn’t rush it.

After having lunch and returning to the training ground, Lu Yuan continued to comprehend the Thunder Blade Triple Extremities Slash. He wasn’t in a hurry to add points. First, Ultimate Skills didn’t seem to allow for doubled experience, rendering that aspect useless. Second, even if he reached minor success, he couldn’t use it right now anyway; his Cultivation wasn’t high enough, and he didn’t have a Profound Weapon. So, it was better to try comprehending it purely with his own talent for now and only add points when crucially needed.

That evening, Lu Yuan went to the Yan’s home again.

”Senior Brother,” Lu Yuan greeted.

”Mhm.” Yan Qing nodded. ”I heard you forged a Profound Weapon yesterday. How was it? Was it a success?”

”Yes, it was a success,” Lu Yuan answered with a smile.

”Take it out and let me see.” Yan Qing quickly held out his hand.

”I gave it to my father,” Lu Yuan replied.

”Oh?” Yan Qing frowned slightly, then stepped aside. ”Then forge another one.”

”Sure.” Lu Yuan didn’t refuse. He had used the materials here yesterday and originally intended to pay for them today.

”Senior Brother, do you have any Wind Thunder Stones?”

”Wind Thunder Stones!” Yan Qing’s brow furrowed slightly. ”You want to forge a Wind Thunder Saber?”

”Yes,” Lu Yuan nodded. ”I’m preparing to practice a Thunder Attribute Blade Technique.”

”Forging a Wind Thunder Saber is significantly harder than a regular Profound Weapon,” Yan Qing warned.

This was because a Wind Thunder Stone wasn’t an ordinary material. It required special processing before it could be integrated into the blade. He hadn’t even taught Lu Yuan these techniques yet.

”I read about it in a book yesterday. I’ve already learned it,” Lu Yuan replied.

Yan Qing’s mouth twitched. He could learn it just by reading a book? And guarantee success? Even a peerless genius shouldn’t be this arrogant, right?

”I don’t have any Wind Thunder Stones, but I did forge a Wind Thunder Saber before. If you forge a Profound Weapon now, I’ll give you that Wind Thunder Saber as a gift.”

”That doesn’t seem right. I can’t keep taking advantage of you, Senior Brother.” A look of joy flashed across Lu Yuan’s face before he acted reserved.

”What’s wrong with it? We are fellow disciples. If you have true skill, just repay me with a Spiritual Weapon in the future.” Yan Qing didn’t mind. Their sect consisted of only the two of them. If both were peerless geniuses who could rely on each other, that was better than anything else. He would have no more worries and could finally begin plotting his revenge.

”Alright,” Lu Yuan agreed.

He then selected materials to forge another Profound Weapon. There was nothing flashy; he was casting a saber again, exactly like the one he had made yesterday. It was a form of repetitive consolidation.

CLANG.

When Lu Yuan struck the first blow, Yan Qing’s expression changed. Yesterday, Lu Yuan’s forging skill had only reached minor success, but today...

CLANG CLANG CLANG.

Under Lu Yuan’s hammer, the long saber gradually took shape and gained its edge. Then, he engraved the runes. Everything was done methodically and seamlessly. He didn’t look like a novice at all, but rather an old master craftsman with decades of experience.

Yan Qing felt that Lu Yuan’s skill was in no way inferior to his own.

CLANG.

With the final strike, Lu Yuan picked up the saber and handed it to Yan Qing.

Yan Qing’s heart trembled. He took the weapon, carefully observed and tested it, and finally spat out two words: ”Upper Grade!”
