Just Engaged, the Abandoned Comeback System Arrived

Chapter 64: Chapter 64: Teaching Yaoyao to Practice Boxing

”Did you know? Not only is my sister beautiful, but she’s also an Alchemist, a genius at Alchemy,” Liu Zhi introduced with pride.

”An Alchemist?” Lu Yuan was surprised. He truly hadn’t noticed. Alchemy was an incredibly noble and wealthy profession.

”The best Pills of our Liu family basically all come from my sister’s hands...” Liu Zhi began to endlessly brag about his sister’s prowess. She had learned to read at three and recited a hundred scriptures by six. At eight, she began to study pharmacology, and by ten, she was researching Alchemy. At eleven, she successfully concocted the Ninth Grade Qi Nourishing Pill. Now, at just twenty years old, she was already a Seventh-Grade Alchemist.

”With such incredible talent, why hasn’t she joined a Sect?” Lu Yuan asked in confusion. According to Liu Zhi’s description, she could join any Major Sect of the Alchemy Dao.

”Well...” A complex expression appeared on Liu Zhi’s face. ”She still needs to wait a bit longer.”

Lu Yuan was speechless. Wait for what? A person’s potential was greatest in their youth, making foundational years the most important. Only by entering a Major Sect could one go further; any delays would be detrimental later on, requiring at least several times more effort to catch up. Of course, he didn’t know much about the Liu family’s affairs, so it wasn’t his place to say too much.

”Eat up, eat up!” Liu Zhi urged.

”Mhm.” Lu Yuan continued eating.

Soon after finishing the meal, he left on his own.

”He’s a good person, worth befriending,” Liu Lianyue said as she stepped out.

”Naturally. My eye for people isn’t bad,” Liu Zhi said proudly.

”He’s younger than you, yet his strength and way of handling things are much better than yours.” Liu Lianyue rolled her eyes.

”Aren’t I currently learning? Besides, you don’t know how hard he works at his cultivation,” Liu Zhi said helplessly. He wanted to go all out too, but he was born with a weak constitution. He couldn’t temper his bones quickly, nor could he use Lu Yuan’s brutal methods. He could only take it slowly.

”Nothing will stop him from reaching the Sixth Grade in the future,” Liu Lianyue judged.

”Definitely!” Liu Zhi nodded. He similarly believed that Lu Yuan’s ultimate achievement would reach the Fifth Grade. As for going any higher, that would depend on opportunity and luck.

...

In front of the Lu family’s main gate.

”Young Master! Young Master is back!” Yaoyao immediately stood up, running over happily to welcome him.

”Mhm.” Lu Yuan nodded. ”Put the wood down. I’ll teach you Martial Arts.”

”Really? That’s wonderful!” Yaoyao quickly set the wood down and then looked at Lu Yuan with nervous earnestness.

”I’ll teach you the Lu family’s ancestral Cyan Gang Fist...” Lu Yuan began his instruction. He taught her every move and stance, every word and phrase. It was the improved version.

He was confident that he would lead the Lu family to greater heights in the future, so he didn’t mind sharing this. Moreover, he hoped Yaoyao could become an expert to protect their home. His mother was busy with household chores every day, letting her Martial Arts go to waste. Furthermore, restricted by her talent, it would be difficult for her to become an expert no matter how hard she tried.

Yaoyao was different. She had the Blue Demon Bloodline and was a Demon Blood Ancestor. Her growth in Martial Arts would be extremely fast; it wouldn’t take long for her to become a major fighting force. There would be no obstacles for her before reaching the Seventh Grade.

Sure enough, Yaoyao learned very quickly. After being taught just once, she had more or less mastered it. Of course, this was partly the result of her secretly watching and learning earlier—though it had only been a few days. Now that she had obtained the Heart Method Outline and the complete set of Martial Arts, it was immediately different. Her essence, qi, and spirit were highly unified as she quickly immersed herself in the practice.

Watching her, Lu Yuan couldn’t help but feel incredibly envious.

Was this a Demon Blood Ancestor? Her talent was simply too strong, far superior to his when he was a child. However, after practicing just once, her body couldn’t quite handle it. The Primordial Qi she had lost previously hadn’t been fully replenished yet, leaving her somewhat frail.

”Eat this.” Lu Yuan took out a Nourishing Essence Pill and a Qi Nourishing Pill, feeding them to her.

”Mhm.” Yaoyao swallowed them without hesitation. After taking a moment to digest the medicinal efficacy, she began practicing the Cyan Gang Fist again. After just four or five repetitions, her movements were already quite decent, clearly showing she had grasped the basics.

”Brother-in-law, why did you come back so late today? Where did you go to play?” Lin Siheng appeared on top of the wall, crouching down.

”I was at work, so naturally, I had official business.” Lu Yuan raised his eyes. Explaining to Lin Siheng was, in fact, explaining to Lin Siyao and the Lin family.

”It really sucks that you’re working. It’s not as fun as before.” Lin Siheng’s small face instantly scrunched up like a bitter melon, filled with boredom. ”I’m bored to death being home alone.”

”Oh, then we should find a private school for you to attend. There are many children your age in a private school, and you can play with them,” Lu Yuan said with great understanding.

”A private school? I’m not going! Not even a dog would go there! Besides, I don’t like playing with kids.” Lin Siheng instantly jumped up.

Wasn’t that just pushing him into a fiery pit? He was used to being uninhibited and loving freedom. Private schools had too many rules; they would trap him. Moreover, he genuinely didn’t like playing with little kids.

”If a kid doesn’t hang out with other kids, what do you want to do? Who will you play with?” Lu Yuan shook his head. ”Lacking playmates in childhood is bad for your growth. It’s detrimental to the development of your worldview and your emotions.”

”Brother-in-law, you...” Lin Siheng’s eyes went wide. He suddenly felt like Lu Yuan was digging a hole for him. How unfamiliar! Some scoundrel was trying to harm him!

”I think Brother Yuan makes sense. It really is time to find a school for Aman,” Lin Siyao appeared, expressing her agreement.

”Second Sister, you... you guys...” Lin Siheng suddenly felt a great terror descending upon him. It was over! He was doomed!

”Hehe, there are many kids and lots of fun things in a school. You’ll definitely come to like it in the future, and you won’t be so bored anymore,” Lu Yuan chuckled wickedly.

He hadn’t wanted to go to school when he was a child either, but he had no choice; it was mandatory. Haha, he absolutely had to make this future brother-in-law taste the same bitterness he had endured.

”That’s right,” Lin Siyao nodded. She had also attended for two years before her mother forcefully ordered her to stay home. Thinking about it, she still missed it a little.

”I won’t go! I won’t go! I absolutely will not go, no matter what you say!” Lin Siheng shook his head resolutely, then quickly scurried away.

He absolutely would not submit! He didn’t want to stay in this place for another second.

”Brother Yuan seems to be in a good mood today. Did you encounter something interesting?” Lin Siyao shifted to sit on top of the wall.

”Mhm, I actually did. At noon today, I came across two Sect disciples having a martial arts duel...” Lu Yuan briefly recounted the duel between Zhen Zilong of the Huasha Sect and Xue Ming of the Purple Cloud Sword Pavilion. Of course, his description was vivid, lively, and entertaining.

”The Huasha Sect and the Purple Cloud Sword Pavilion are both Fourth-Grade Sects. The Huasha Sect focuses on Body Refining, and their fist techniques are very formidable. The Purple Cloud Sword Pavilion is renowned for its Sword Dao, and I’ve heard they have ties with the Taiqing Sword Sect...” Lin Siyao’s beautiful eyes fluttered.

Neither of the two Sects were weak; each had its own distinct characteristics. Outer Disciples weren’t actually considered formal members of the Sects, so they didn’t represent the true strength of either faction. True disciples usually only emerged after reaching the Seventh Grade.

The Taiqing Sword Sect, meanwhile, was one of the top five sword sects in the world, the Eastern Sword Dao Leader. Its strength was incredibly formidable. Most importantly, it was not under the jurisdiction of the Daqian Dynasty.

”Yeah, Outer Disciples really don’t amount to much. It was just for fun. In the future, if there’s an opportunity, I’d like to spar with their true disciples,” Lu Yuan smiled. He was confident that he would soon be able to contend with the true disciples of the major Sects.

”Mhm, Brother Yuan can definitely do it. I believe Brother Yuan can achieve that.” Lin Siyao tilted her head, her eyes curving into crescent moons.
