Chapter 1418: Information

”Ha... Business doesn’t look good. The eastern lords are growing restless. I can only move my business to the north.”

”Really? You must be a great merchant since you are still able to do things even in such a situation.” The woman smiled seductively.

”Hahahaha! Of course.” The merchant laughed out loud.

Little did she know, once they were done, the woman simply walked back to the manager’s room, informing the manager about everything she had found so far.

”...” The manager squinted her eyes and muttered, ”Something is definitely going on in the east.”

The manager didn’t take much time to write a letter and attach it to a bird’s foot. This information reached Harley’s ears quickly.

The moment he heard it, he had no choice but to inform Noel. This time, he actually asked Noel to convene a meeting with three other people: Anna, the masked man, and Howard.

Noel couldn’t help but furrow his eyebrows. ”The eastern lords, huh?”

”Yes. I don’t know what’s going on, but I’m afraid this is the only way for the third prince to do something.

”The kingdom is split into four: central, north, west, and east. The central nobles are mostly the royal faction. While they dominate the government, there are still Duke Lorelei, Countess Christina, and a few others who have remained neutral until now.

”Meanwhile, you are the guardian of the north. With the help of the Stargaze family, you have united the north. On the other hand, according to the source, someone has united the western lord. In this scenario, that would be the third princess.

”If someone wants a piece of the kingdom, they have no choice but to utilize the eastern lords.

”However, considering the nature of the third prince, I don’t think it will be that simple. I don’t know what he is planning with the western lord, but this will be extremely crucial.

”We have to send people to the east. Because we can’t afford to start a war or a rebellion, it can only be done with a handful of elites.”

Noel squinted his eyes, carefully considering the suggestion. ”The eastern lords, huh? This information...”

”I would never give you unverified information, Master. If I did so, I would have informed it prior. According to the brothels in the east, there are indeed some weird movements, but it’s a bit too bizarre.

”We don’t know what’s going on currently, but the atmosphere has become worse.

”Besides, the source of this information might not be the merchant, but someone else.”

”Someone else?”

”Yes.” Harley hesitated for a moment. ”I don’t know if I should say this or not because that person should have been missing for a long time. However, this kind of way of sending information feels like Silvester’s way... Silvester, the former pillar of information.”

”!!!” Noel looked shocked. If it was true, that meant the one who sent this information was none other than his father.

Now that he thought about it, Harley had mentioned Silvester being better than him in terms of detailed information.

While Harley could spread his information network so wide, Silvester had a more precise detail. It could be said that Harley was the one usually gathering the macro information and movement across the kingdom, but Silvester could dig up all kinds of information a certain person has, including the underwear they wore the previous night.

It seemed Silvester had found where the third prince was, but because Luke couldn’t mobilize his own force, Noel had to take action himself.

Besides, his father should have realized that Noel was planning to do exactly that. He just lacked information, which was the reason he sent that information.

Noel looked down, falling into deep thought. ”Still, this movement...”

Noel crossed his arms before asking, ”Give me the map.”

Harley hurriedly grabbed the map and opened it for him. Through this map, Noel could see what was going on and where much more clearly.

Noel pointed at a certain spot on the west side of the Muivell Kingdom. ”Here.”

They followed the direction and found a spot of two territories.

”Count Khal and Baron Leincester?” Harley furrowed his eyebrows.

”Yes. From the current information and movement, I believe these two places will become an important piece. However, if their aim is the royal family, there’s a chance for them to use the border between them to sneak in.

”Both territories are the most impacted because of this sudden movement, so it won’t be weird if their security becomes lax. However, there’s a chance this is a trap, so we have to be careful.

”In that case, Anna, Cat, and Harley. I will give you a mission. Bring 50 elites and head to this place.”

Cat reminded everyone. ”According to the last report, the third prince’s force can’t be underestimated. He has one person who is extremely close to becoming a spirit transcendence. Although we don’t know how he manages to do it, the third prince himself is a spirit transcendence.”

Harley didn’t have this kind of information, but Laufey knew all this because he was once a part of the Supreme Devil Organization.

”I will take care of them, but won’t this be a bit overwhelming?” Anna asked. ”Should I ask Rui or Melissa to help?”

”No. Both of them will remain here. They have to protect the territory.”

”!!!” Anna understood what he meant. ”Are you planning to go elsewhere?”

”Yeah. This is the only way I can do it. I will have to ask Tristan to take care of the territory again. Fortunately, Rose is supporting him just fine.” Noel pinched the bridge of his nose. ”The third prince is tricky, so we can’t be too sure of his method. That’s why I have to personally go.

”Meanwhile, I want you to head there and stop anything coming to the capital city. Still, you are not very good at a culvert operation, so I want Harley and Cat to assist you directly.

”Use every resource at your disposal to stop them.”

”Understood, my lord.” Laufey and Harley bowed.

Anna clicked her tongue. ”My instinct is telling me that the situation doesn’t look as good as we hope.”
