ShangriLa Frontier ~ Shitty Games Hunter Challenges Godly Game ~

「T-That’s right! The Christmas season is almost upon us!」

Christmas…… Christmas, huh? It’s not all that surprising since I’m a young high school student who only recognizes such date in the calendar as a limited event day, but Santa Claus who comes to my house strongly pushes fishing and insect catching every time when it comes to gifts. So both Rumi and I are pretty much figured the whole Santa Claus shtick out ever since late Elementary School. So much for the magic of Christmas.

The scariest thing ever about Christmas was when I have found a plane ticket to Brazil at my bedside when I was still in Elementary School…… Huh? What is that? Is this for real? I don’t want to go to Brazil! It’s for that reason alone that I was afraid of Brazil ever since my early childhood. Thanks Mom. Thanks Dad. It’s really as useless of a gift as they can possibly get!

「But Christmas, huh……?」

As usual, when it comes to Bakumatsu Online, there will be an event to subdue Hokuosei Batsuhishogun, otherwise known as the Santa Claus, and NefHolo seems to be noisy as well because there is an event where limited coloring decals for your Nephilims can be obtained. When it comes to GalaTra…… Anyways, it’s going to be all about defeating the ghost fleet St. Nikolaus, isn’t it? Who goes to the devilish war in space where the Terraton Class ship can be sunk without even trying, huh?

「UH, UMM!!!」

「Hm? Yes? What is it?」

「Umm, this is, you know. If, by any chance, umm, ummm, hypothetically speaking…… On the, twenty fourth…… I-If you are free and you do not have any other plans for that day……」

「Yeah.」

Perhaps because she had been coughing until a while ago, Rei-san opened her mouth while looking at me with a face that still couldn’t entirely get rid of its redness.

「W-With…… with me……!?」

Huh? This feels like something a whole lot of people from the general public would be doing. A typical, modern Japanese Christmas, that is ––––––

「How about I start shuffling!」

「Sounds good to me.」

That’s our Rei-san for you! I must say, I really like her enthusiasm. Especially when it comes to the discoloration of ShanFro at the current moment. Honestly, there are various KITZ stuff going on in ShanFro right now, but it’s safe to log in with her without shame, especially if she herself is the one who asked me out. Even more so since we belong to the same Rabbitz group.

「No, I must truly say, when I talk to Rei-san like that, I feel less repulsive towards the world of ShangriLa Frontier. Thank you so much for that, Rei-san.」

「………… I-Is that sho?」

Rei had a fever of 37.6 degrees the following day.

The Residence of the Grand Duke of Thirdrema, Residence’s Salon

Those who carved the Red Pencil mark onto their clothes and armor gathered around and looked at one particular woman.

The woman was sitting completely silent, with her eyes shut as if she was meditating…… but then she opened her eyes and opened her mouth, making the gathered people wonder if she was able to reach any concrete conclusions inside of her mind.

And then she spoke up in a loud and clear voice:

「Alright! We’ll call it “Operation Bomb Shadow Warrior! Who wants to be a part of it!? I’m taking applications!」

「Me! I’ll do it!」

「No, I am going to be the one to do it!」

「I hope to play a part of a Princess, if possible!」

「Nah, man! With a voice like that, there is no way in hell that you can play a female part even if you tried!」

「But if he was to play that part, wouldn’t it be hilarious if he was to open his mouth in public and shock everyone like that?」

「Yeah, and then self-destruct from a mixture of both shame and embarrassment.」

「Ahh, now that I actually think about it, that sounds rather good.」

「Be quiet! Be quiet! Geez, I swear to God, everyone in here loves to cross-dress tad a little bit too much!」

Bomb Shadow Warrior, a tactic devised by the Demon Lord herself, that was once regarded as an inhumane weapon in the world of Round Table, that ultimately ended up being one of the reason for that particular world coming to an untimely end. The content of this strategy is extremely simple: one of the players would disguise themselves as a VIP NPC, they would infiltrate the enemy stronghold and then self-destruct, burying their enemies with themselves…… That’s about it.

It’s simple, it’s effective, and most of all, it’s extremely evil. This tactic will continue to be used repeated in here, especially if this game has no demerits when it comes to death whatsoever. Eventually, a large number of suicide bombers shall overflow on the front lines, while their comrades come in and clean up all the enemies that are going to remain…… It’s a truly villainous strategy that no one in their right mind would ever consider employing on the actual field…… That is the Operation Bomb Shadow Warrior.

「Fufufu…… Thanks to the glorious effort of all of our collaborators…… The stock of self-destruct magic is steadily accumulating under our banner, and other matters all seem to be progressing swiftly and without issues as well…… So, what about the Intelligence team?」

「For the time being, those who are streaming over there have sworn to follow us, but I feel like it’s kind of situational. Sometimes they play strangely efficiently, and sometimes they are not. So it would seem certain that they are exchanging information behind the scenes as well.」

「It’s impossible to chase after Karintou. If anything, we believe that this person is still in the middle of streaming, for crying out loud.」

Yeah, most probably. Pencilgton smiles in her heart without breaking her confident smile. As with two friends who are a little bit too strong, there are races in the world who fight all-time at the level of whether you think it is okay for them to do so. Describing those kind of people as battle maniacs would be far too great of an understatement.

The All-Night knight Karintou is an even more extreme type of one such player, and since you can earn enough income to live a normal life thanks to streaming alone, you can think of playing a game as means of taking a break from other games, not as an escape from reality.

The tricky part of the Streamers’ Union is that you can always keep a certain number of players in ShanFlo at al times, which is very, very inconvenient given what Pencilgton and her cohorts are trying to pull off here.

From the ship returning to Fifthsia from the New World, to escorting the former King Torvante and Princess Afilia to Thirdrema without anything happening during that time. A mission that must cut through the new king’s territory no matter how hard they struggle to avoid it…… RPA has already pulled out the wedge of morality from their brains.

(Ideally, if you throw Sanraku-kun into Fifthsia it might work, so that’s actually pretty much what we need to do here……)

Pencilgton let out a small sigh, thinking of her unexpectedly shy friend. Let him be shy all he wants, at least until the time when the former king and the current king collide head-on.
