The move during the day had been lively and noisy.

But that did not stop everyone from returning to the old nursery after dinner that evening.

After dinner, Lin Feng stopped outside Gardevoir’s door.

He rubbed his head, the words already on his lips, yet unable to come out.

Gardevoir seemed to know exactly what he wanted to say.

She turned slightly to the side.

”Gardevoir.”

”Come in. Let’s talk.”

Lin Feng stepped inside.

With the cabinets already moved out, Gardevoir’s room felt strangely empty.

Only the bed remained. The sheets were spotless, and the blanket was neatly folded at the center.

It made Lin Feng pause.

Did Gardevoir even use a blanket when she slept?

”Gardevoir.”

”What are you thinking about?”

Sensing her Trainer’s thoughts, a trace of helplessness appeared on Gardevoir’s face.

”Ahem…”

Lin Feng felt a little awkward. After choosing his words carefully, he said, ”I want to talk to you about something.”

”Gardevoir.”

”It’s about Steenee, right?”

Gardevoir went straight to the point.

Lin Feng was not surprised.

He sighed. ”Yes. Steenee cried today.”

That morning, when he called Steenee out of her room, he had clearly seen the tear marks on her face.

She must miss her mother terribly.

”Gardevoir.”

”When I found them, it was already nighttime. The three little ones were being chased by a Toucannon. Combusken stood in front of them, but by then the three had already been together for a while.”

Gardevoir recounted her first encounter with the three Pokémon.

Hearing this, Lin Feng grew worried. ”That makes things complicated.”

From what Gardevoir had said before, Steenee’s mother had been captured by a human.

But logically speaking, when a Trainer captures a Pokémon, they usually defeat it first and then seal it in a Poké Ball.

In such cases, Pokémon who are willing to travel with humans rarely resist.

However, for a queen protecting her young, facing a capture attempt would provoke fierce resistance.

If she had still been captured in that situation, then it meant she likely no longer had the strength to fight back.

”I want to go on a journey,” Lin Feng said, voicing his decision.

Gardevoir nodded, her expression softening.

She naturally understood his purpose.

At the same time, regret welled up inside her. She wondered why she had not searched the area where she found the three little ones earlier. Perhaps she could have found Bounsweet’s mother back then.

Even if she could not bring her back, at least she would have tried.

But time had already passed.

She gently touched Lin Feng’s face, feeling that ever since coming here, her Trainer had been quietly growing, little by little.

”Gardevoir.”

”Since you’ve already decided, then go as soon as possible. You’ve already bought the furniture today. Once you arrive, I’ll help arrange everything here.”

”Gardevoir.”

”And take Dragonite with you. Go together. Otherwise, I’ll be worried.”

”Mm.”

Lin Feng nodded.

The one Gardevoir referred to was, of course, Mewtwo.

”If I don’t come back within three days, remember to bring Giratina some wine,” Lin Feng reminded her.

”Gardevoir.”

”Don’t worry. I can handle most things at home. If it gets difficult, Hattrem can help me.”

”Mm.”

Without lingering sentimentality, Lin Feng stepped out and found Steenee’s Poké Ball.

Ever since she and Blaziken had evolved, they no longer slept beneath the great tree.

Instead, they now rested inside their Poké Balls.

He had not planned to tell Steenee that he was going to look for her parents.

There was no guarantee he would find them.

If he told her in advance and failed, it would only give her false hope.

Lin Feng’s Everstone power slowly settled onto the Poké Ball. As it did, fragments of Steenee’s long buried memories surfaced in his mind.

A tropical forest, thick with vines. A Tsareena. A Toucannon. A Trumbeak.

A tropical climate.

Finally, the image froze on a human entering the forest.

He admired Vespiquen and sent out a Gothitelle, defeating her and putting her to sleep.

Caught completely off guard, the queen Pokémon was sealed inside a Poké Ball.

At that time, Bounsweet had been far too young. She hid inside a tree hollow, trembling as she watched from afar.

So she never saw what the person looked like.

But that was enough.

As long as he went to the Alola region and encountered that person, Lin Feng’s aura would recognize him instantly.

After returning the Poké Ball to its place, Lin Feng noticed Mewtwo.

It was floating above the nursery roof, enjoying the breeze.

Lin Feng called it down.

A man and a Pokémon leaned against the nursery door.

”Do you want to go out with me tomorrow?”

”Hm?”

Mewtwo floated down. ”Where to?”

”We’ll probably stay in the Alola region for a few days. What do you think?” Lin Feng asked.

”Alright.”

This time, Mewtwo did not ask why. It agreed immediately.

”It’s pretty boring here, isn’t it?”

Mewtwo fell silent for a moment, then nodded.

It really was boring.

It did not know what to do here.

But it also did not know where else to go.

After traveling through so many places, every location felt much the same.

Compared to that, staying by Lin Feng’s side felt better. At least here, its heart could be calm.

Lin Feng suddenly had an idea. ”Do you want to learn how to cook? I can teach you.”

He understood Mewtwo’s problem.

It was different from ordinary Pokémon. In this world, most Pokémon formed bonds through family and friendship.

Mewtwo’s pride made it difficult for it to interact with others.

Its power was too great, leaving it without goals or pursuits.

And that created an indescribable emptiness.

Mewtwo said nothing, only continued to nod.

”Get some rest early.”

Lin Feng patted its shoulder and said no more.

He needed to give Mewtwo a sense of purpose in living. It could not remain lost in thought forever.

But this was not something to rush. He could think about it slowly, over time.

Back in his room, Alolan Ninetales and the Eevee were still awake, while Serperior lay stretched across the carpet.

After playing with them for a while, Lin Feng drifted off to sleep as well.

As he entered his dreams, the scenery before his eyes quietly changed.

”Kira~”

A clear voice echoed beside Lin Feng’s ear.
