Get Stronger by Pleasing Pokémon? Who Needs to Be a Trainer!

Inside the kitchen.

Lin Feng stood still, deep in thought about what Giratina might like to eat.

First of all, there was no doubt about one thing.

It liked wine.

Honey grape wine, to be precise.

That much had already been confirmed.

What surprised him even more was its alcohol tolerance. It was ridiculously high.

One barrel of wine, two hundred and fifty liters, and it could finish it in two or three days.

That was insane.

Why was it drinking itself into a stupor every day?

Was it unhappy about something?

”Dragonite, Salamence, and Goodra all like white radish and bone soup. That probably means most Dragon-type Pokémon enjoy that kind of food.”

”And Origin Forme Giratina… it kind of looks like a snake, doesn’t it?”

”But once the soup is done, how am I even supposed to feed it?”

”And it is a Ghost-type Pokémon…”

Lin Feng began sorting through everything he knew about Ghost-types.

Most Ghost-type Pokémon were attracted to life energy. They also fed on fear and negative emotions.

Aside from hatching from eggs, many of them were born directly in places dense with Ghost-type energy.

Because of that, some Ghost-types liked to create terrifying scenes to scare passing Pokémon, absorbing the fear they produced.

When it came to life energy, the ingredients he had on hand did contain some.

Like Ho-Oh’s sacred feathers.

But there was no way he would use something like that just to cook a meal for Giratina.

”Then… do I use Moomoo Milk?”

Lin Feng opened the fridge and took out a bottle of Moomoo Milk he had bought that morning.

[S+ Grade Moomoo Milk: Fresh milk produced by Miltank. Extremely nutritious. Long-term consumption enhances resistance to abnormal conditions in newborn Pokémon. Contains trace amounts of life energy. Can aid recovery from injuries. Long-term use improves physical vitality.]

This was milk from the strongest Miltank in his herd.

To be honest, even Lin Feng had not expected its quality to become this high.

The move Milk Drink was said to restore HP, but that was still just a move.

Now, even the milk produced naturally by this Miltank had healing properties.

”White radish bone soup takes too long. I can’t keep it warm forever or the radish will go bad.”

”So… what should I make?”

As he thought, his gaze drifted to the kettle on the counter.

Inside it was honey grape wine.

Lin Feng’s eyes lit up.

Instead of guessing what Giratina might like, why not build on what it already enjoyed?

Like this honey grape wine.

There were so many things he could make with it.

”…I’ll buy some chocolate.”

Without hesitation, Lin Feng hurried to the plantation, summoned his Pidgeot, climbed onto its back, and took off into the sky.

Not long after, he returned with a large batch of pure chocolate bars.

Yes.

He was making liquor-filled chocolates.

In fact, quite a few Pokémon on the plantation liked honey grape wine.

Serperior, for example.

It loved the flavor, but the alcohol content was so high that its face turned red after just a few sips.

If pure wine was too strong, then he could make fillings with different alcohol levels.

Strong ones for those who liked it bold.

Light ones for those who preferred something mild.

And based on the ingredients available on the plantation, he could create all kinds of flavors.

Original.

Sweet.

Moomoo Milk.

Sweet berry juice.

Pecha Berry.

The possibilities were endless.

Making liquor-filled chocolate also required a bit of cream.

Lin Feng paused, then laughed.

He had no idea how many flavors he was about to create.

After a moment of thought, he grabbed a bowl and went to find the cream-producing Pokémon.

Soon, using his psychic ability, he brought back several types of fresh cream.

The process itself was not complicated.

The key was the liquor filling.

It was not just alcohol.

The ingredients included wine, cream, chocolate, butter, and sometimes malt syrup.

He combined them in different ratios, heated them gently until thick, then poured them into molds to cool.

The timing of when the alcohol was added determined the strength.

The later it was added, the higher the alcohol content remained.

Lin Feng prepared several batches with different ratios.

Some even had crushed nuts mixed in.

The filling only needed a few minutes in the fridge.

While it chilled, he melted the chocolate for the outer shell.

If the bitterness was too strong, he added a little sweet honey or berry juice.

For some, he even poured in a large amount of Moomoo Milk, creating a pale, creamy outer layer.

Then, using Psychic, he carefully coated each filling with chocolate.

Once done, he placed them in the freezer for about forty minutes.

The only real problem was the final step.

The chocolates made for Giratina were the size of apples.

The rest were only about the size of dates.

Wrapping them one by one took far more time than he had expected.

Forty minutes later, Lin Feng opened the freezer.

A box full of liquor-filled chocolates sat neatly inside.

They gleamed softly under the light.

Lin Feng’s eyes sparkled.

”…Whether I can raise Giratina’s favorability now depends entirely on you.”
