Pokémon: Serperior

Gender: Female

Ability: Contrary (Enhanced)

Potential: Gold

Personal Values: …

Strength: Level 54 to 57

Moves: Vine Whip, Leech Seed, Leer, Aura Sphere, Grassy Terrain…

Description: Noticed by the World Tree. Possesses unique Grass type energy and aura power.

Lin Feng glanced over Serperior’s status panel.

From the very beginning, starting with Snivy, Torchic, Bounsweet, Popplio, and Alolan Vulpix, everyone had already evolved.

Even Ice Ninetales had caught up later.

So it was only natural that Serperior wanted to become stronger too.

But thinking about it carefully, what exactly had Ice Ninetales and Blaziken eaten?

They had consumed feathers from Moltres and Articuno.

What they gained was not just higher energy levels, but the ability to influence the weather itself.

Having tasted the benefits of Legendary Pokémon ingredients more than once, Lin Feng fell into deep thought.

Right then, he asked himself a question.

What Legendary Grass type Pokémon were there?

”Let me think…”

Virizion, one of the Swords of Justice, felt somewhat underwhelming.

Wo-Chien?

A Ruinous Pokémon? That idea felt completely absurd.

There were also the Mythical Pokémon Shaymin and Zarude.

But neither of them seemed particularly impressive either.

Looking at it from another angle…

Lin Feng suddenly realized something.

Legendary Grass type Pokémon were extremely rare.

Just like Bug types, which only truly had Calyrex representing top tier combat power.

If he could not find special ingredients tied to Legendary Pokémon, it would be very difficult to cook something truly exceptional.

Alolan Vulpix had long dreamed of finding Xerneas, the so called God of Life, but that came with its own complications.

Calyrex lived in the Galar region and was known as the king of Pokémon there.

Xerneas resided in the Kalos region.

It might still be sleeping, and it was also a Fairy type Pokémon.

Lin Feng was not sure whether it would even be compatible with Serperior.

Seeing the faintly hopeful look in Serperior’s eyes, Lin Feng felt uneasy.

She rarely looked at him like that.

”Show show…”

After waiting a long time without hearing a response, the expectation faded from Serperior’s face. But she did not look disappointed.

Because she knew Lin Feng never favored one Pokémon over another.

Lin Feng kept staring at the panel when a single keyword suddenly caught his attention.

”No. There is still the World Tree.”

After drinking tea brewed from the World Tree, Serperior had become a Pokémon noticed by it.

But Serperior had never actually been to the World Tree itself.

Maybe, if they went there, they would discover something new.

”Show show?”

Serperior looked at Lin Feng, puzzled.

”It’s nothing. When Meowth comes back, I’ll ask if it can take us to its home for a visit.”

”Show show?”

Serperior was still confused, but she nodded slightly.

”There are still some World Leaves here. I’ll see if I can make something good for you tonight.”

”Now, help me out.”

”Show show…”

Serperior nodded.

Lin Feng immediately led her to the area he had just planted.

First, he took out premium fertilizer and evenly spread it into each flowerpot. Then he looked at Serperior and said, ”Come on, use Grassy Terrain here.”

”Show show.”

(Okay.)

Serperior immediately mobilized the energy within her body.

The blue green glow dispersed into wisps of light, drifting down onto the pots.

With the fertilizer already mixed into the soil and Grassy Terrain added on top of that, the reaction was instant.

All kinds of seedlings burst through the soil.

But what appeared next made Lin Feng stop in his tracks.

First were the cabbage sprouts.

What should have been blue green seedlings were now dark and murky. The center of each cabbage was pitch black, like coal, as if some strange vegetable was forming.

Under the combined effects of Grassy Terrain and the fertilizer, its growth rate was astonishing.

Before long, it reached nearly half a meter in height.

Reversed Cabbage (Black)

A special vegetable grown in soil from the Reverse World.

”Uh…”

The description was no different from ordinary cabbage.

”This looks like an ingredient whose effects only show up after cooking,” Lin Feng muttered.

He did not dwell on it. Instead, he had Serperior continue.

Soon, black radishes, green carrots, and red spinach all sprouted as well.

”Show show…”

Serperior looked at the bizarre vegetables in front of her, a trace of disdain unconsciously appearing in her eyes.

How could vegetables grow into something like this?

”It can’t be helped. This soil came from the Reverse World.”

That said, could soil from the Reverse World be used to make unusual dishes?

It was not impossible. After all, this was the Pokémon world.

Many Ground and Rock type Pokémon could eat soil and rocks.

Like the Larvitar Lin Feng had encountered during the Youth Cup. If it really came down to it, feeding it stones or special soil was also an option.

Still, Lin Feng did not try anything immediately. He did not have any Rock or Ground type Pokémon right now.

After giving Serperior a Rare Candy, Lin Feng rushed straight to the kitchen.

He took out all the freshly harvested reversed vegetables.

”Cabbage, carrots, white radish, spinach…”

Aside from spinach, all four vegetables were suitable for stir frying.

But Lin Feng had a new idea.

Stir frying felt too complicated, so he decided to make dumplings instead.

Coincidentally, all four vegetables worked well as dumpling fillings, and there was still a large stack of dumpling wrappers that Mewtwo had rolled out that morning.

He had originally planned to use them for the winter solstice, but now it seemed Mewtwo could just roll more later.

Activating his psychic power, Lin Feng washed all the vegetables first, then finely diced them with a kitchen knife.

He also took out some pork prepared for dinner, chopped it into small pieces, mixed it with the vegetables, added various seasonings, and stirred everything evenly.

After letting it rest for a while, it was ready to wrap.

But after wrapping for a short time, Lin Feng felt that working alone was too slow. So he ran to the nursery and called Mewtwo over, who was watching Indeedee mind the counter.

”Come on, come on. Help me wrap dumplings.”

Mewtwo fell silent.

”…Alright.”

With Mewtwo helping, the speed increased dramatically.

Not only was its psychic power stronger than Lin Feng’s, it was also incredibly precise, ensuring each dumpling had nearly the same amount of filling.

Once they finished, Mewtwo could not help asking, ”Why does this filling feel so strange? This isn’t for us to eat, is it?”

”No. I’m just testing the effect.”

After wrapping the dumplings, Lin Feng could hardly wait. He put some into a steamer and others into boiling water.

About seven or eight minutes later, when the dumplings floated to the surface, Lin Feng scooped them out and opened the steamer.

Inside were crystal clear, colorful dumplings.

B+ Grade Forgotten Dumplings (Boiled)

After eating them, the consumer will temporarily forget their own abilities.
