Chapter 876: Chapter 872: Forced Sale and Purchase!

”Seriously, at a time like this, someone actually comes by, either with water on the brain or bugs in their mind.”

Muttering curses, the staff member inside the window, under the watchful eyes of Xiao Tian and Xiang Yiting, casually pulled out a blank paper from amidst the clutter, and then grabbed a pen from the overturned pen holder on the desk.

After a flurry of scribbling, they tore the paper in half and handed it out through the window carelessly.

Outside the window, Xiang Yiting and Xiao Tian were already stunned as they were about to take their documents. What could possibly be the reasoning for this?!

It was somewhat understandable for Xiao Tian to be surprised, but seeing Xiang Yiting equally dumbfounded showed it was her first time experiencing such a project.

At this moment, Xiang Yiting indeed felt a bit relieved inside for not hardening her resolve to try this water project earlier. It was evidently a truly correct choice!

But when they saw the handwritten boat ticket, they couldn’t help but be shocked again.

There weren’t many words on it, only three lines from top to bottom, saying: Couple Package, limited to two people, discount price 200,000 yen.

A hundred thousand yen naturally wasn’t much for Xiao Tian.

However, just as he was ready to swipe his card for payment, Xiang Yiting beside him blushed and argued, ”I think you’re mistaken, we’re not a couple, and also, this hundred thousand yen is a bit too expensive, isn’t it?”

”Your advertisement outside clearly said eight thousand yen for a single, so why is it twenty thousand for two people?!”

In response to Sun Miaohan’s protest, the staff inside the window was evidently impatient, waving his hand dismissively: ”That’s the regular price; there are no single tickets now, and boat tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded after sale. If you want to change the package, you must pay half the price of the couple package before you can switch.”

As he spoke, the staff seemed to anticipate what Xiang Yiting was going to say, prompting first: ”If you’re determined to return the ticket, it’s also impossible for us to refund.”

Xiang Yiting’s face turned red with anger as she shouted, ”This is blatant fraud; I’m going to file a complaint against you!”

Upon hearing this, the staff inside the window chuckled disinterestedly, making it seem like this wasn’t his first encounter with such a situation.

”Sure, you can go five kilometers just outside by taxi to a dedicated office for resolving travel disputes. But, even if you want to file a complaint, you must first pay for the ticket.”

This blatant coercion made Xiang Yiting feel like she was about to explode. She quickly grabbed Xiao Tian’s sleeve and said, ”Let’s go!”

However, after just two steps, they were blocked by seven or eight tattooed men with vest tops, muscles bulging. One of them had his heated gaze roaming up and down Xiang Yiting, lecherously smiling.

”Miss, if you don’t have the money for the ticket, I can provide it. Come with me.”

After saying this, others nearby burst into jeering laughter, completely disregarding Xiao Tian and Xiang Yiting.

Seeing this, Xiao Tian’s expression changed, but recalling his current identity, he didn’t act rashly.

Yet Xiang Yiting’s eyes reddened with anger, almost ready to burst into tears.

However, as Xiang Yiting was about to explode, a feeling of suffocation suddenly descended, making her feel as if someone was choking her throat, her face turning pale due to lack of oxygen.

This scene startled everyone present, especially when just a moment ago she was energetically arguing, and suddenly now she was in such a state, leaving people feeling unexpectedly caught off guard!

”What... what to do now?” The tattooed man who had earlier teased Xiang Yiting looked at the staff inside the window with an inquiring gaze.

However, the staff merely sneered coldly, ”No worries, let’s see how long she can fake it. These Huaxia People are best at doing eye-catching things in public like this. Ignore her and she’ll find it pointless and recover on her own.”

Hearing such remarks put the tattooed men slightly at ease, coldly watching Xiang Yiting’s increasingly white face as she approached the brink of suffocation.

With prior knowledge of Xiang Yiting’s situation, Xiao Tian immediately concluded that it must be due to excessive emotional agitation causing her energy and blood to surge, leading to suffocation.

Although there might be discrepancies in details, such was the general conclusion.

Determining this, Xiao Tian knew there was no time to spare; even a second delay could make Xiang Yiting miss the best rescue opportunity.

Unless Lin Bingxuan was present to perform Endless Life, even Xiao Tian couldn’t escape the inevitable outcome of futile effort.

Deciding thus, Xiao Tian stepped forward swiftly and steadily held Xiang Yiting, who was about to collapse, gently patting her back.

And with this seemingly casual pat, Xiang Yiting’s condition slowly improved, her pale, bloodless face starting to calm down.

Seeing this, the tattooed men blocking the path and the staff in the window breathed a sigh of relief, further convinced Xiang Yiting was pretending, their eyes becoming more contemptuous.

Especially the tattooed men blocking the road, their laughter grew more rampant, their mouths spewing filthy words incessantly.

...

In fact, anyone with a keen eye could see that Xiao Tian’s pat was actually an application of True Qi.

The principle being the infusion of True Qi into Xiang Yiting’s body, the meridians shaking, naturally causing a brief clearance.

And with just this brief moment, it was enough to save Xiang Yiting.

However, doing this also meant significant risk for Xiao Tian.

Had one of those tattooed men been skilled in utilizing True Qi, even at an entry-level, they could easily discern the implication behind Xiao Tian’s seemingly gentle action.

This wasn’t a matter of strength; as long as one could perceive the fluctuation of True Qi, they could grasp the essence.

Although mere possession of True Qi couldn’t prove he was Xiao Tian, it would undoubtedly bring a lot of trouble.

Fortunately, these tattooed men, though considered adept among ordinary individuals, couldn’t use True Qi or sense its fluctuation, which was indeed lucky.

Once confirming Xiang Yiting’s condition improved, Xiao Tian decisively pulled a credit card from his pocket and handed it over through the window.

”Beep beep!”

Two sounds later, the transaction completed, Xiao Tian put the credit card back in his pocket, seemingly oblivious to Xiang Yiting’s anxious eyes desperately signaling at him.

Seeing Xiao Tian obediently paying, the tattooed men blocking the way dispersed one by one, with the earlier tease having a tinge of regret, shook his head before also leaving with the mob.

Feeling much better, the first thing Xiang Yiting could express verbally was to blame Xiao Tian: ”Why did you really pay them?!”

”Better to avoid trouble than face it. When traveling, we should adhere to the principle: endure a step for calmness, step back and see broader horizons.”
