A Sorcerer’s Journey

Chapter 1048: Chapter 1050: A Ray of Hope

”Another native leader that must be personally exterminated has been discovered.”

Facing the Trick Crystal Terminator above the altar, Green instinctively gathered magic power to evade, but saw the Starry Sky Summoner on the summoning altar, the big rat with the magic wand grinning eerily.

”Squeak, squeak, squeak, squeak, just waiting for you.”

The big rat raised the magic wand high. In an instant, the Starry Sky Blood Essence Cover under its feet wriggled madly, and a strange spider silk broke through time and space boundaries, binding itself around the Trick Crystal Terminator.

Huh!?

The Trick Crystal Terminator shook violently, looking in shock at the Blood Essence Light Cover beneath the big rat, roaring with an earth-shattering struggle, and its sand crystal transformation ability was completely restricted. All attacks were focused on the silk line, trying to break free.

Raising the extreme abyss magic staff, a layer of ice shield defense held off the shockwave from the earth-shattering struggle of the Trick Crystal Terminator high in the sky. Green, with Three-Colored Light Eyes, watched as the lines shooting from the altar wrapped the Trick Crystal Terminator into a cocoon, gulping with relief.

Then his vision shifted towards the immortal descent of blood-colored remnants from high up, where eyes behind enormous metallic hands glared down.

”The trusted subordinate sent over is about to be vanquished, be angry, enter and kill us, send this Dominator’s projection back to its lair!”

Green growled inwardly.

This might be the only chance for a few, if this Metal Destroyer chooses to endure, waiting for the endless Metal Terminator Legion to clear them out, unless the Sorcerer Alliance Overlord arrives, otherwise, none in the Netherfire World can escape death!

”No!”

The Trick Crystal Terminator, bound by the altar’s silk lines, like a prey entrapped by a man-eating spider, roared in despair but was relentlessly dragged towards the altar. The Starry Sky Blood Essence Cover flickered with a millennial whirlpool vortex, a terrifying attraction targeting the Trick Crystal Terminator.

Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!

The high-intensity particle beam cannon attacks unleashed in the struggle by the Trick Crystal Terminator veered off, deflected by the powerful attraction of the vortex, spiraling into the bottomless vortex, muting into a voided barrage without effect.

The Rainbow Potion Stigmata Sorcerer fell beside Green, and two pseudo-stigmata sorcerers bowed towards the big rat. The big rat, guarding its ragged bag slyly, nodded to the two and turned to Green.

”Squeak, squeak, squeak, squeak, let’s see how it escapes this time. Although the main body of the Myriad Nest Spider Mother Domination wasn’t summoned, it summoned a remarkable cross-realm attack for us and left a cross-world passageway. As soon as the Metal Destroyer descends upon the Netherfire World, the temporal seal will vanish, and we all can escape along the cross-world path!”

The big rat began communicating with other wizards shortly after, as the weakened Dying Flame Holy Grail was escorted back by the Hoarse Song with a pacifier somehow ended up in its mouth.

”Meow, its soul nearly shattered, though I barely managed to consolidate it, yet its magic retaliated, making it impossible to recover without at least one or two thousand years.”

Sitting in the wheelchair of the Hoarse Song, the Flame Holy Grail appeared deathly pale.

Green felt slightly guilty seeing this, as his full-scale cover allowed him to repair himself into such a desolate state.

”Escape through the spatial passage left by the Dominator. Now that its magic retaliated, can it withstand the terrifying squeeze of traversing remote space-time from an unknown world cluster!?”

Green asked with concern, then continued in a lower tone: ”Besides, the road back...”

Although the Rainbow Potion Stigmata Sorcerer’s method seemed feasible, for Wizard World, the result for a few of them would almost equate to that of a temporal seal!

Youquan World’s partner, the Resentful Ghost, hailing from an unknown world cluster, till now didn’t find a way to return, possibly never in this life. How does this differ from being subjected to the Space-Time Sealing Technique?

Countless world clusters of varying sizes exist in the Endless World. For Wizard civilization overall, aimless shuffling remains a perilous venture, let alone for several small stigmata sorcerers.

Only fearing even if escape occurs, they’d end up as homeless wandering evil gods.

Except for Arc Thundercloud and the Wandering Dandelion, other stigmata sorcerers couldn’t even become evil gods. Once the magic power source dries up, they’d regress into Fourth or Fifth Level wizards bereft of spirit power, rather than supported Stigmata Sorcerers by the magic power source.

”Yet, other than this method, no other solutions come to mind short-term. Oblivion Tower, what solutions do you have?”

The Hoarse Song, masked in black, eyes on Green, along with the Fat Cat, the big rat, the critically weakened Flame Holy Grail, and even two pseudo-stigmata sorcerers, looked at Green with hope.

Green’s face stiffened, slowly lowering his head.

”My soul mate, Eight Rainbows Nevis, is already waiting for me at the world gate in the Central Sea Region. As soon as the Metal Destroyer descends upon the Netherfire World, the temporal seal disappears, and I will transport myself there through my Spacetime Communication Talent with Eight Rainbows Nevis to escape through the world gate. I don’t know the end result, but at least there is a slim chance.”

Pausing, Green apologized: ”Your true forms are too colossal; short term, I can’t use talent to take you along.”

After careful deliberation, Green chose not to follow the escape plan of the Rainbow Potion big rat.

Despite the way Green advanced, even reaching unknown world clusters could allow survival as a wandering evil god.

Lacking the resources, knowledge, and foundational information conglomerate mundanity Wizard World offered, Green would face immense difficulty significantly boosting his wizard rank again like before, unlike the feral tribes reliant on innate passive evolution, employing knowledge acquisition learning to evolve Sorcerers inherently lag.

Gurgle, gurgle, gurgle, gurgle...

The Starry Sky Blood Essence Cover squirmed violently, seemingly due to the Trick Crystal Terminator’s frenetic struggles.

All of a sudden, the blood essence cover jolted. The Trick Crystal Terminator, who had been dragged inside, struggled out once more, ensnared in bundles of silk, with a layer of crimson purple flame arising.

”You native wizards, my destruction is just an insignificant loss to Skynet. With superiority in individual evolutionary dependence, you’re destined for replacement by Skynet’s quantum technology civilization!”

With a pop, the Trick Crystal Terminator was drawn into the blood essence cover for finality, vanishing without a trace.

”Meow, compared to the impulsive Trick Crystal Terminators, those cold robots are more likable.”

The Fat Cat murmured and then followed Green, the Hoarse Song, and the Flame Holy Grail’s gaze together to behold the apocalyptic sky darkened by blood fading to dull light, overhead an outstretched black fissure of an enormous golden mechanical hand reaching into the horizon, suddenly clenched taut. The space rift emitted a metallic screech, the underground power source of the Netherfire World quivering, World’s Cloak Rule Arcs waltzing amidst the cracks, flickering.

Their hearts strung along tight.

Clinging to life amidst death, whatever escape solutions, they only uphold one slim chance! (To be continued. If you enjoy this work, you are welcome to to cast recommendations and monthly tickets, your support is my greatest motivation. Mobile users please access m. for reading.)
