A Sorcerer’s Journey

Chapter 1036: Chapter 1028: Beneath Skynet’s Dominion

”Ambush!”

This large world fragment isn’t safe either. As the Arc Thundercloud and Flame Holy Grail vanguards rushed with their legion to the next world fragment, they encountered an ambush by the Metal Robot Base, ready for battle behind the Gate of Space-Time. A barrage of beam particle cannons, AT force cannons, and destruction navigation missiles poured down.

Within the crystal ball’s light screen, the army behind the Arc Thundercloud Stigma Sorcerer suffered a devastating blow amidst the fire.

Although this world fragment, comparable in size to the Secret Realm of the Oblivion Tower, is quite large, it’s overcrowded with dozens of World Masters and billions of troops. Without the World’s Veil rules for protection, any strong army within the fragment becomes a target for these Void Fleets. They must relocate!

”Silence! Esteemed World Masters from the Alliance, this world fragment cannot withstand the bombardment from those Void Fleets for long. Therefore, regardless of what ambush awaits us on the other side of the space-time rift, we must charge through. Otherwise, with more fleets and Metal Terminators gathering outside the void, we have no other path but death!”

At this crucial moment, it was the Weilid Island Stigma Sorcerer who took charge of the situation.

This old witch, with extensive connections in the Wizard World, clearly had a broad vision and courage. Under her call, some World Masters led their legions to break through the space-time gate’s vortex and forcibly occupy the world fragments ahead, while others, including Green and the Hoarse Song, rushed towards the void, trying to stall the Void Fleet and minimize the destruction of the world fragment, reducing the legion’s losses.

It truly was a case of being caught between a rock and a hard place. The Wizarding Alliance’s World Masters could only lead their troops to charge forward.

”Meow, while it’s true, there are three fleets here, each with more than a hundred ships. It seems more forces are gathering from the depths of the void. Without support from the space fortress, it’s a dead end for us Stigma Sorcerers and World Masters to fight head-on...”

In the void, over twenty World Masters gathered, sensing the Void Fleet that had destroyed the world fragment slowly approaching. Each Void Mothership stretched over a thousand meters, bearing a massive protective shield and forming fleets of over a hundred, proceeding silently yet with an indescribable pressure!

Not to mention the Metal Terminators beside these Void Motherships, each Void Fleet seemingly had hundreds of them.

Gulp.

”Damn it, so many? This is a targeted plot, definitely an ambush aimed at us. It must have been when Fat Cat first explored the route it got detected!”

Xiao Ba accused Fat Cat, who, with tearful eyes, turned to Green and said, ”Green Beast, you better not die.”

Green had no time for Xiao Ba, muttering an incantation under his breath. From his massive 300-meter Elemental Embodiment emerged two over 100-meter Barbarian Giant Sun Chasers, standing to his left and right.

Through the evolution of the Elemental Embodiment, and with Green’s continuous research with the Life Key and uninterrupted Male Poison Body Refining, Green’s body’s maximum attack power now exceeded 35,000 degrees, representing the power of Grimm’s Annihilation Source Avatar.

With 232 Infernal Soul Bird Heads baring their fangs, even though Green tried his best to evolve the Infernal Soul Bird Heads, it had only increased from 190 to 232, still 24 short of the required 256.

”Meow, you obnoxious Eight Brother, shut up! Lord Cat can’t be bothered with you.”

With a ”poof,” Fat Cat spat out its pacifier, and its body began to become spectral and gradually swelled, while Hoarse Song, under the black mask, let out a low chuckle and merged with the ghostly cat.

On another side, the Snow Threadworm King, burning with a thousand meters of blue Ice Flame, approached Green.

”Oblivion Tower, I sense a presence from deep in the void that makes me shiver, constantly approaching here. Be careful.”

After speaking, the Snow Threadworm King left, leaving Green slightly stunned.

In the void, as the numerous World Masters prepared for battle, the nearest Void Mothership fleet launched an attack from long-range, beyond the World Masters’ attack distance. After being caught off guard and embarrassed, they launched their own counterattack, charging fervently at the Void Mothership fleet.

Several main cannon attacks from the Void Mothership fell inside the world fragment. Through the chaos and turbulence, Green could faintly hear the confusion and frenzy within it, as troops surged fearlessly towards the Gate of Space-Time, terrified of the ambush on the other side.

Whoosh!

A Metal Terminator aimed straight at Green. Despite being only three meters tall, its mechanized body embodied a cold, violent aesthetic, and in Green’s true sight, its energy source radiated brilliantly, with vitality values fluctuating between 38,000 and 52,300. After releasing a 45,000-degree energy gun attack, it drew a spiral blade from its back, spinning rapidly as it darted forward.

Sizzle!

Dark arcs accurately shattered the energy gun beam, colliding with the spiral blade, still leaving considerable residual power to strike this silver-white Metal Terminator.

In its eyes, after a rapid stream of cold data, it seemed to accurately gauge Green’s strength, dodging the Annihilation Force before opening its mouth to release three high-energy explosive projectiles. It then retreated under the protection of the rear Void Mothership.

”Under Skynet’s influence, have these Metal Terminators developed biological judgment to seek advantages and avoid harm?”

Boom!

An AT force cannon fired directly, Green used Elemental Teleport to avoid the central attack and, though several Infernal Soul Bird Heads shattered and dissipated by the edge, they regrew in the blink of an eye. Meanwhile, two avatars of the Annihilation Source flew towards other battle groups.

The war between civilizations, entirely different from Green’s past invasions of Aboriginal Worlds, was not just a matter of scale or culture. The understanding of warfare was fundamentally different too.

Poof!

Using Elemental Teleport, Green traversed past several World Master battlefields, passing the corpse of a Stone Giant impaled by a body, gradually approaching a kilometer-long Void Mothership.

Unlucky Stone Giant—unable to evade, it was struck directly at its energy core by a cannon from the Void Mothership, falling in this Void battle.

Within the AT Force Field Shield, the Metal Terminators counterattacked Green, while numerous secondary cannon fire from the Void Mothership rained down. Struck by these not-so-high-degree attacks, Green’s black flaming body twisted and shimmered, roaring as he swung the hundred-meter Abyssal Magic Wand.

Wrapped in the Source of Darkness, this mysterious power beyond the Endless World was incomprehensible to the quantum technocratic civilization of the Metal Destroyers—no record in Skynet!

The AT Defense Shield did nothing to hinder, as the confused data flow in the Metal Terminators led to the Void Mothership being sliced in half amidst ”boom, boom” explosions, flames bursting forth and quickly suppressed and extinguished by the Void Force.

Sizzle!

Dark arcs dodged by the Metal Terminator, dozens of Infernal Soul Bird Heads swooped down, tearing apart the Terminator amidst their violent roars. Witnessing this, Green silently drew some Negative Magnetic Pole Metal Powder from the Dimensional Gap, incorporating it into the black flame Elemental Embodiment.

Possessing the quality to obliterate all matter and energy, Glyn’s Erasing Power would thwart even a liquid Metal Terminator with indestructible capabilities, rendering it helpless if struck.

Quickly, Green’s gaze shifted to the next Void Mothership, promptly achieving results.

Thus, unknowingly, Green had destroyed four Void Motherships, and other World Masters gradually began taking down these motherships, entering a stalemate before the second Void Mothership fleet arrived.

”Hahaha, Master of the Oblivion Tower can counter these Void Mothership Shields!?”

A hornet flew over, a Level Five Creature, one of the 52 World Masters Green’s party was tasked to transport to the Ancient Dragon World. It was surprising how, amidst such a chaotic battlefield, it noticed this place.

”Yes, these... you!”

”Squawk!?”

Suddenly, Green’s voice was abruptly cut off.

Unexpected treachery, Green suddenly awakened. Sabening, a Second Level Curse Wizard, couldn’t possibly be following in the void battle. It was a disguise by the Black Terminator. (To be continued.
