A Sorcerer’s Journey

Chapter 1030: Chapter 1022: Void Fleet

In the following months of advancing through the Endless Void Shadow World, the team encountered three colossal Void Creatures one after another.

Fortunately, in two of these instances, the Void Creatures apparently did not wish to engage with these powerful beings from the Material World, choosing to evade. Only one seemed to harbor extreme hatred towards Material creatures, and initiated an attack, though it’s unclear what it experienced over its long life.

The battle lasted for more than ten days!

Seven Stigma Sorcerers, after sacrificing two Space Fortresses, tens of millions of the Slave Legion, hundreds of thousands of Wizards, and hundreds of Space Airships, finally defeated this Void Creature. Green witnessed firsthand the terror of these Void Creatures, whose combat rules starkly differ from those of Material World life.

The incomparably colossal body allows it to ignore any low-level attacks, brushing them off as if scratching an itch.

The loss of these Wizard Legions in the Material World, combined with two Stigma Sorcerers, would be enough to easily overthrow some small indigenous regimes.

”Finally arrived.”

Tinged with weariness, a few people stood in a row, gazing at that Great World, and Old Sorcerer Welid murmured.

”No more accidents can occur. Our losses are close to a tenth of the mission’s bottom line. We can’t afford any more mistakes. Until we personally hand over the supplies to the Seven Rings True Spirit Wizard, we must remain on high alert.”

The Arc Thundercloud Stigma Sorcerer spoke, glancing at Green.

”How is it going?”

Using the Face of Truth, Green observed the Void World around the Ancient Dragon Great World. As one of the main battlefields where Wizard’s Will engages with Skynet, both sides not only fought ferociously within this vast Great World but also expanded the battlefield to the Void Shadow World, hundreds of surrounding medium and small worlds, and the shallow Illusory World—this is a war manipulated by the Endless Dominators!

”Void ripples are relatively calm. There should not have been any large-scale wars in the nearby void recently. After all, half of the Ancient Dragon World is firmly within our grasp, and our attacks are relentless. The other side should be exhausting all efforts...”

Just as Green was speaking, he suddenly froze!

”Not good, it’s a Void Mothership Fleet, at least a hundred, they’ve discovered us.”

From the distant void, Green spotted the incoming Void Mothership Fleet, sounding an alarm, causing the nearby Flame Holy Grail Stigma Sorcerer to anxiously propose, ”Retreat into the deep void and find another chance?”

Having already lost two Space Fortresses, if there are further losses, the mission would be judged as a failure.

”No, these Void Motherships are extremely fast, far surpassing the speed of Space Fortresses. If we retreat into the deep void and are caught, it would be a catastrophic disaster. So, these are war machines adept at void combat?”

Green flatly rejected the Flame Holy Grail’s proposal, his Three-Colored Light Eyes narrowed to a line, and he gritted his teeth: ”Now there’s only one choice, charge in at full speed!”

Pointing to the Ancient Dragon Great World just a few Hourglass distances of void flight away, Green shouted hoarsely, his voice slightly dry due to tension.

After several stifling breaths, Arc Thundercloud made a decision.

”Charge in!”

Upon receiving the combat order, all eighteen Space Fortress Combat Command centers immediately set off at full speed, charging toward the Ancient Dragon Great World, which seemed to represent the hope of life.

The speed of the Stigma Sorcerers exceeds that of the Space Fortresses by far, yet none chose to escape first.

Unless absolutely necessary, even if the mission fails, every effort must be made to deliver a greater quantity of urgently needed warfront resources into the hands of the True Spirit Wizard.

Taking out the Crystal Ball, Green began observing the relative speeds between the Void Mothership Fleet and his own eighteen Space Fortresses, deducing and calculating the time of their encounter.

”Can’t it go any faster?”

Seeming to have obtained some calculation results, Green asked the Space Fortress Combat Command centers through the Crystal Ball, his voice somewhat anxious.

”No, we have already pushed the Space Fortresses to their maximum speed!”

The several Space Fortresses responded in unison.

Pacing back and forth at the edge of a Space Fortress, Green suddenly executed an Elemental Teleport through the Defense Shield, appearing in the void, activating his Elemental Embodiment, and began using his own powerful Repulsion Sorcery to successively accelerate the eighteen Space Fortresses. However, these are eighteen Space Fortresses after all—the time saved by Green’s acceleration is only about one-third of an Hourglass.

This is almost negligible compared to the Void Mothership Fleet, whose speed in the void is nearly twice that of the Space Fortresses.

”Will it work?”

Xiao Ba, protected by the Infernal Soul Bird Head’s black flames in the void, asked Green.

”We can only do our best. At this speed, the Void Mothership Fleet should encounter us about one-half an Hourglass time before the Space Fortresses enter the Ancient Dragon Great World. Hopefully, the Terminator Legion inside these Void Motherships is limited; otherwise, even we might be in danger.”

Xiao Ba clutched his head, almost at the brink of going mad.

”Ah, ah, ah! Damn it, Master Eight does not want to die yet. Just at the start of the civilization war and being cannon fodder, this is a role for supporting characters only, ah ah ah ah ah...”

Hum, hum, hum...

The Space Fortress, advancing at maximum efficiency, trembled slightly, its performance becoming exceedingly unstable. This made Green’s impression of the Void Motherships war art pieces of the Metal Destroyer civilization change directly during the war in the Decayed World.

Compared to the Wizard World’s high utilization of the Lever of Destiny rule, consequently abandoning the expansion method of void travel by Sky City, the Metal Destroyer civilization pursued an even deeper development into void combat, leading both civilizations down completely different evolutionary paths.

It’s not about which is better or worse, just about better utilizing their conditions under different historical cultures.

”Hold them off!”

Arc Thundercloud roared as Green and the other Stigma Sorcerers departed from the fortress, standing in the void, activating their Elemental Embodiments, preparing to face the battle to the end.

The Space Fortresses had only a short way to go to enter the Ancient Dragon Great World and must not falter halfway.

”One hundred twenty-three, one hundred twenty-four, one hundred twenty-five, damn it, a hundred and twenty-five Void Motherships, there’s a lot to play with here!”

Each Void Mothership is a thousand meters long, about three times the size of a Sorcerer World Space Airship. The outer layer is an AT Force Field Shield, which, without the influence of Mysterious Power, even the World Master cannot easily breach, and its AT Force Cannon is something even the current Green absolutely would not want to take head-on.

Hold your breath!

Stigma Sorcerers, who were once the top-tier beings in the world during the Demon Hunting Expedition, even with seven of them here, felt the tension and irritability in their hearts facing such a massive Void Mothership Fleet.

This fleet is merely a trivial scouting team for both sides in the war over the Ancient Dragon World, let alone for the vast world group theater of a civilization war!

Closer, much closer. For beings like the Stigma Sorcerers, a distance of ten thousand meters is within the direct attack range, and they can already feel the attack charging of the terrifying fleet.

Boom!

Just then, a violent energy shock surged from beneath their feet from within the Ancient Dragon Great World. Through the Truth Mask, Green saw a complete towering mountain, after a series of fluctuations from within a rune-wreathed giant painting, being hurled out, landing squarely in the midst of that oppressively massive Void Mothership Fleet ahead of the seven.

Boom, boom, boom...

Intense explosions resounded, one after another, easily rending the mighty AT Force Field Shields apart. After a brief moment of astonishment, Green and the others realized they were above the Ancient Dragon Great World, controlled by the Wizarding Alliance!
