A Sorcerer’s Journey

Chapter 1023: Chapter 1015: Phantom Emperor

Twenty-five years later.

The last of the three great astrological towers, Druels, stood tall and reached into the clouds, attracting the mysterious power of the vast starry sky. Its numerous gathered astrologers summoned distant friends from space-time world clusters, arriving in dazzling forms to support the fierce war far away.

Tens of thousands of low-level beings roamed around several high-order beings on the chaotic battlefield.

After a grand nine-month offensive by the Wizard Legion, this tower, representing the hope of the Starry Sky World, still couldn’t be shattered. Despite the intense battles, even though low-level beings engaging in high-order being battles could cause catastrophic disasters, with increasingly fearless Slave Monster Corps charging into the fray, these distant Foreign Domain time-controlled beings defending the Astrology Tower had to join the World Master level battles.

The danger level of the war already exceeded the endurance of these summoned beings, many distant world friends who crossed time and space often refused to participate in this war surpassing individual influence, even directly ending contracts.

After all, they were just friends, not an army or slaves required to obey absolutely.

”I am the Sage Summit Ethereal Emperor. Although just a pure source incarnation, I am absolutely not someone you three Foreign Domain demonic fiends can contend with, huh!”

A beam of blue light tore apart the crimson fiery stream, which was then deflected and refracted by a few dandelions, as the Flame Holy Grail panted slightly.

Druels’ Astrology Tower summoned four World Masters, one chose to forcibly end the contract and return, leaving just these three World Masters stubbornly guarding the Astrology Tower.

The other two World Masters, whether the Shadowflame Behemoth World Master or the Ice Condensing Fairy World Master, were manageable. Although their abilities were peculiar, they were merely Level Four creatures, on par with Green, and were respectively dealt with by Green and the Black Dragon Ghost Storm Sprite King.

But this Level Six creature, the Ether Emperor, was terrifyingly strong.

Even with Arc Thundercloud, the Flame Holy Grail, and Wandering Dandelion joining forces, they could barely contend!

The semi-transparent ethereal state of the body was intangible, yet not a ghost. Even with the erudition of numerous Stigma Sorcerers present, such a lifeform had never been seen in literature or records, being close to ethereal yet having absolute influence on the material world, seeming to tread another path to pursue the essence of truth.

”Damn it, it’s only an avatar, yet this Astrology Tower connects to such a strong entity.”

Even Xiao Ba was startled by this Ether Emperor’s avatar.

The Shadowflame Behemoth opposing Green had mastered shadowflame in a frightening way, able to turn contacted energy material into shadows, with attack velocities fluctuating between 58,000~90,000, coupled with abilities to absorb battlefield wraiths to augment attacks and Shadow Monster avatars; even Green was helpless against it.

Dozens of Infernal Soul Bird Heads behind continuously spewed dark flame beams, on the left and right, with two Oblivion Source Avatars assisting. Green’s main body, over three hundred meters tall as a Black Flame Giant, wielding the extreme abyss magic staff, clashed on the battlefield with the wailing, human-face shaped, Shadowflame Behemoth.

”Troublesome fellow.”

Sparks flew as a black Arc of Oblivion twisted and absorbed surrounding light, weaving through light and darkness across the battlefield, erasing a few rapidly flying Shadow Monster avatars, and the chill-inducing magic staff swung forward!

This was not Green casting some witchcraft but directing the distant Screaming Cockroach Slave Legion to bypass the Shadowflame Behemoth and launch an attack on the Druels Astrology Tower defense.

”Manipulating these blood-flesh corpse puppets is indeed an external demonic and deviant path, with ethical morals utterly lost, an uneducated human nature extinguished abomination!”

Supported by Wandering Dandelion Stigmata Sorcerer, with Arc Thundercloud, and Flame Holy Grail two Level Five Stigmata Sorcerers opposing, this Ether Emperor’s avatar still divided its attention to glimpse at Green’s Elemental True Body of the Black Flame Giant, like a needle piercing, sending a chill through Green’s heart.

His true body’s formidable degree probably already surpassed the Lord of the World level.

Boom...

Unknowing of whose command was issued, the Space Fortress Destruction Cannon cut through the battlefield, creating a breach in the Astrology Tower’s defense. Tens of thousands of Slave Legions charged in wave after wave; this wasn’t the first time, nor would it be the last.

Two months later.

The Druels Astrology Tower of the Starry Sky World collapsed, a tidal wave of Slave Monsters surged and tore apart the lamenting Astrologers; this demon hunting expedition came to an end.

Silently, the Arc Thundercloud Stigma Sorcerer began to recuperate magic power. Despite the continuous support of Wandering Dandelion’s endless magic power during these days of combat against the Ether Emperor, escalating attacks and replenishing, magic power reached its personal limit.

”No more endless chatter, finally don’t have to hear this fellow’s nonsense anymore.”

Retrieving his Crimson Gold Magic Wand, the Flame Holy Grail snorted coldly.

......

Pitter-patter, a gentle rain fell from the sky, veiling the star control, making it seem as if the world was weeping.

Green stood with Xiao Ba on his shoulder, leaning on a magic wand, step by step heading towards the once most prosperous Gemini Astrological Tower of this world.

Years ago, almost simultaneously with Green and others destroying the Druels Astrology Tower, Stigmata Sorcerer Welid and Hoarse Song Stigmata Sorcerer joined forces to conquer this declining Astrology Tower.

However, different from the complete destruction methods of other Astrology Towers, this site, significant in commemoration more than practical value, sacredly storing the richest legacy of astrology in the Starry Sky World, was retained by the Sorcerers.

This was a respect for knowledge; even if unusable by themselves, it couldn’t bear to be destroyed.

”Master of the Oblivion Tower.”

A sorcerer confidant of Old Sorcerer Welid bowed to Green, amidst numerous sorcerer guards and Slave Monsters bowing in the rain, Green waved his hand and solemnly said: ”Where are the two masters?”

”A few Astrology Towers remain on the world’s periphery, needing clean-up, Hoarse Song Stigmata Sorcerer leads a part of the Expedition Legion to annihilate them, while Master Welid explores the World’s Heart to stabilize this world.”

Green nodded, and Xiao Ba impatiently said: ”Little fellow, take us inside for a look, after all, it’s birthed the strongest astrologer of this world; it ought to have some value, maybe inspire Master Eight.”

”Yes.”

The Witch flicked her fiery wavy hair, and led Green and Xiao Ba into the slightly damaged Gemini Astrological Tower.

Even visibly declining greatly, this Astrology Tower was no ordinary one capable of being compared to, even with both Level Five Stigmata Sorcerers joining forces, some damage was evident.

”Is this their way of inheriting civilization knowledge?”

Seizing an astrological instrument, composed of prismatic mirrors of varying lengths, upon inserting an Energy Baryte, the light refracted through the prismatic mirrors formed a small piece of a starry sky map, named the Astrological Disk.

”Yes, akin to how the Wizard World uses the rules of spring, summer, autumn, and night-day to summarize magic runes of the Wizard World, this astrological knowledge summarizes the fundamental rules of the Starry Sky World. From the perspective of the Wizard World’s Balance Rules, this astrology seems like infinitely enhanced wizard apprentices, though magnifying this world’s rules infinitely, they will never step beyond this world.”

As the Witch spoke, she led Green past millions of Astrological Codex Gallery Elevators, reaching the tower’s starry sky

world map.

”Those footprints are evidence of the Gemini Stars plunging into chaotic space-time.”

Green’s Three-Colored Light Eyes gazed, a broken strange thread threading into chaotic space-time, seemingly thinking of something, and Xiao Ba on his shoulder echoed in reflection.

”Could it be this guy courted death, attempting to communicate with some space-time beings in Superconductive Chrono, thus falling into deep Superconductive Chrono himself?”

Gazing at the starry sky map formed by strands of subtle energy beams, with only a pair of footprints disrupted by time, Green murmured: ”It indeed seems like an attempt to communicate with those Superconductive Chrono phenomena, only to fall into it himself...” (To be continued.
