A Sorcerer’s Journey

Chapter 1003: Chapter 995: Retrogression of Flowing Light?

”She just fainted from mental disorder, a normal phenomenon caused by the disruption of Superconductive Chrono. Resting for a while will be fine.”

In a black and white striped Wizard Robe, the Time Hourglass Stigmata Wizard took out an hourglass, its ”swish” sound never ceasing, as if silently narrating the passage of time.

”However, a Third-Level Wizard’s ability to carry time-related treasures is limited. When mining the Sands of Time at the Oblivion Tower, it would be best for you to personally supervise, and try to keep Low-grade Wizards away.”

Green smiled from under the Green Truth Mask.

”The Superconductive Chrono anomaly affecting Low-grade Wizards can be mitigated by me, but over the years, roughly half of this vein’s Sands of Time have already been extracted. Once it’s fully mined in a few years, along with a special item on me that communicates with a distorted timeline, the resulting Superconductive Chrono breaches might affect even me, a Fourth-Level Stigmata Wizard. I wonder if you have any solutions, Master?”

The Time Hourglass Stigmata Wizard glanced sideways at Green.

”The best way is to either hand over these time-related treasures to the Time Wizards or consume them.”

An Oblivion Source Avatar flew out from the Void Mothership, sending the unconscious Vine Manacles Waldman to the large base in the Parasitic Spore World for recuperation, away from the time-related treasures.

Green accepted the tea tray brought by a large group of Raindrops Flower Spirits, took a sip, the aroma spreading through the air.

After placing the teacup down, Green suddenly opened a Dimensional Gap. In a large transparent sealed glass container, the Sands of Time slowly appeared!

”Master, please look. If I consume these Sands of Time and use all the remaining Sands of Time in the vein as payment, can you ensure my safety and let me experience the Superconductive Chrono World that transcends the real-world Time-related Treasures?”

Green’s three-colored light eyes focused on the Time Hourglass Stigmata Wizard.

Any ordinary Fourth-Level Wizard would certainly feel overwhelming pressure under the gaze of Green’s Eye of the World, yet looking at this Time Wizard, Green felt immensely mysterious and somewhat subdued himself.

With a mechanical face shaking his head, the Time Hourglass Stigmata Wizard swung his Magic Wand. Amidst the unusual and mysterious magic fluctuations, a golden thread appeared in the Hope Light Shroud beneath Green’s Robe of Appearances, connecting with the sand constantly flowing from the hourglass.

”Ordinary Superconductive Chrono phenomena are naturally not an issue; however, the peculiar item on you links with the World of Retrogressive Luminance! That’s an illusory and chaotic world of time reversal, composed of thoughts, lying very close to the Dimensional Gap world made of the purest imagination. I fear once you leave the protection of the real-world time rules, you’ll be drawn into the World of Retrogressive Luminance immediately.”

So, the chaotic illusory world where the Sovereign of the Light of Hope’s body is hidden is called the World of Retrogressive Luminance?

Paused, the Time Hourglass Stigmata Wizard continued: ”In the World of Retrogressive Luminance, except for those in the real world possessing communication with time, you can’t change anything. Moreover, for every step you take back, you’ll consume two steps yourself. Pay particular attention to haphazard Temporal Faults and those mysterious time entities capable of interacting with the real world; even for me, they represent an extremely dangerous and unknown realm.”

Gulp.

Green secretly swallowed.

He had already suspected that the chaotic spacetime where the Sovereign of the Light of Hope is hidden must be extremely dangerous, but upon hearing the introduction from the Time Hourglass Stigmata Wizard, it seems even more dangerous than he had imagined!

However, Green noted a piece of information revealed by the Time Hourglass Stigmata Wizard, that the distance to the Dimensional Gap world is already very close.

Appears the Dimensional Gap should be in a deeper layer of the World of Retrogressive Luminance. Both are mysterious, chaotic, and illusory worlds born on the basis of creatures from the Endless World.

After a long silence, Green sighed.

”To be honest, Master, as these Sands of Time accumulate, though no high-grade time phenomena have affected me, a vague unease has indeed grown in my heart. Even with multiple seals and restrictions, the effect is minimal. But once these time-related treasures undergo a Temporal Seal, they’ll continuously be assimilated and consumed by the Force of Spacetime. Depositing them in the Wizard World might likely affect Low-grade creatures, violating Holy Tower Rules...”

When time-related treasures are scarce, they are exceptionally precious, yet now with too many in Green’s hands, they have become a hot potato instead.

”Simple, the Void Force is the perfect insulator for these time-related treasures.”

Some of the Time Wizard’s common knowledge seemed to Green akin to an ordinary human stepping into the Mysterious Wizard World during the wizard apprentice period.

”Thank you, Master.”

After paying enough compensation, the Time Hourglass Stigmata Wizard left.

...

Forty years later.

Vine Manacles Waldman was released from the trusted wizard contract by Green due to uncontrollable greed harming the interests of the Stigmata Wizard, again becoming a member of the Holy Tower Great Sorcerer-Hunter.

Meanwhile, once Green properly dealt with a large amount of Sands of Time on him, he began the Waterflame Mountain Melt-Cave Runes drawing anew with two Oblivion Source Avatars, while the newly collected Sands of Time by Mechanical Puppets were managed by Smart Mechanical Puppet Lab to ensure peace over the years.

These Sands of Time, Green already had his own usage plan for them.

Venturing into the Retrogressive Luminance Illusory World in the future would require a large consumption of time-related treasures. At that time, these Sands of Time might still be far from enough, necessitating seeking other protected time-related treasures.

As such, time slipped away day by day until one day, Green’s Crystal Ball conveyed a communication.

When Green saw it was a One-Round True Spirit Sorcerer, he couldn’t help but gasp in shock, hurriedly connecting the Crystal Ball communication.

”Oblivion Tower, congratulations, your second disciple Heisuo successfully emerged atop the Holy Tower Qualification War, earning a place to advance to an Official Sorcerer at the Heart of the Wizarding World.”

The Tri-Color Sprite fluttered beside, showing that the One-Round True Spirit Sorcerer paid special attention to this apprentice wizard from the Heisuo Tower reincarnation.

Despite the fierce competition lesser than that at Sky City, Wizard Continent, and Abyssal Underworld’s numerous Holy Towers, standing out among many wizard apprentices to secure one of the five reserved spots was still not an easy task.

”Hehe, it’s also thanks to Master’s establishment of the Nightmare Sorcerer System Wizard Road.”

Green rejoiced for Heisuo inwardly. Compared to his first disciple Cappuccino, Heisuo received less of Green’s personal instruction, but as the reincarnation of a Black Tower Stigma Sorcerer, his talent and growth experience were secondary; what he needed was to ascend to Stigma, the Third Strike at the Road of Stigmata!

”By the way.”

The One-Round True Spirit Sorcerer seemed to remember something, his face blending sharpness with softness, his tone deepened: ”A month ago, the Eighth Ring True Spirit Wizard of the Wizarding World was born, their True Spirit Dedication for Demon Hunting Expedition Guillotine Fortress.”

Astonishing news, Green opened his mouth wide. (To be continued. If you like this work, please visit to vote for recommendations and monthly tickets. Your support is my greatest motivation. Phone users please visit m. to read.)
